I always struggled with my beard growth. It wasn't until I converted to Islam that my beard literally exploded. It grew really fast after taking the shahada😂

Bruno56 I believe you’re referring to the Jizyah. In actuality it is like the state tax and is only paid by the non-Muslim males. In return they don’t have to fight in any wars and the Muslims have to defend them. If they don’t pay the Jizyah then they too have to fight along side the Muslims. As a non-believer I always wanted a beard but I could never grow one, as soon as it would be about 1cm it would itch like crazy but after becoming Muslim at 35 years old growing a beard is comfortable and feels right I actually feel bad if I trim it.
5 years being Muslim now alhamdulillah and my beard is still growing.

in quran nothing states that you should have beard
But in hadith is exist. Keep bear it is not that compulsory but it shows ur religion and grows blessings.

Because I love everyone my advice for everyone in the world is, if you are believing in any religion then just believe in Islam because it is the most believable out of all the religions. And it's nobody s business what you do with your life. So be safe, make the right choice. The Quran is for everbody.

The truth as far as I know is, its for identification of fellow Muslims. So, they can prefer doing business with Muslims, prefer being partial to Muslims even when on a different country or city.
Science has also revealed that beards protect our faces from uv rays, serves as a trap for germs/bacteria from getting in our largest orifice and surveys and data show that men with beards are consciously and subconsciously perceived as more masculine. I hate to say it as an American but my people are very limited when it comes to knowledge and critical thinking.
+Bala it is scientificly proven that men with bears have less to no bacterians on there face then a person who is fully shaved in the face now quit ur hating and swollow it. :)

The Prophet said that you SHOULD keep a beard, so from this we learn that it is recommended to have a beard.

+OnePieceFan in early stage it might cause you discomfort. just leave beard alone . let it grow. you will get use to it. make sure you clean your beard with shampoo. i love my beard. you will love it too. believe me.
Brother. Purchase a beard brush and beard comb. Then purchase beard oil. Lastly purchase beard shampoo. Do not use normal hair shampoo on your beard. It is too harsh. The hair on your hair and the hair on your face is not the same. The skin on your head is much more moist but the skin on your face needs extra treatment to maintain it healthy and moist and not dry.
its a classic case of custom turning into religious practice. Arabs kept beard to protect their face from the sand blowing at high speeds in the desert. And since Islam originated in that region, it was adopted at a religious practice.
