I made a new video on the issue: ua-cam.com/video/3ob7NV830V8/v-deo.html Also apologies that the game audio is too high in comparison to my voice here. I'll be fixing this going forward.
I love this video! Thank you for making this. Most gamers (especially cod gamers) just play, they don't create like you and I. So they don't know jack shit about proper game balance, fun factor, moment to moment gameplay, etc. It's so refreshing and relieving to know that not everyone in this industry is a completely incompetent developer! You earned my sub! 😎👍🏾 Edit: 4:27 Yes, Yes, & YES! I've noticed this and said this a million times. If the TTK for MWII & MWIII were swapped, then both of those games would be top tier COD games. 💯
Whoa, just saw you were a former Ubi dev on your profile!! It would be cool to hear about the game's current state, or to hear your thoughts about the current meta (TDM? but we're kind of moving away from that with Tuberao and Azami) versus the utility meta! The utility meta was actually one of my favorite metas, it required so much thought as an attacker and it really was like a cool puzzle to play the game at that point
Although I was a Ubisoft dev you should know that Ubisoft makes a ton of games, and I was not involved with Rainbow Six: Siege in any way. My biggest relationship with Siege is that I've used the game engine it runs on, and I know people who worked on it, and that's it. With that said I am a long time Siege player, don't really play it anymore but I got it when it first came out so I do have my own opinions and knowledge on the game and some backend stuff from the using the same engine (base engine, they forked it and made it suitable for a shooter). So maybe I can make a video on it if it's still interesting to you, but I don't think my opinion is worth more than anyone else's unless you want me to speak about game design or something specific about siege I have expert knowledge in.
Problem is ttk also effected by others like BLACK OPS2 has really well designed Weapons TTK overal but maps are really towards to SMG and shotgun that AR/LMG/SR struggles And MWIIIs issue half of map roaster is MW2 2009 maps with Slide cancling movement which totally breaks the map
This is one reason why I liked MW19 so much. It's got fun, fast paced movement and gunplay mixed with fast TTK. That's my preferred combo. It's not a perfect game and I'll always admit I wasn't a fan of most of the maps (they were clearly designed for SnD/non-respawn modes), but on good maps, it was probably my favourite COD experience since the golden era. I've been playing BO6 and while I enjoy the gunplay and movement, there are so many instances where I just feel bullshitted cause the longer TTK places so much more emphasis on handholding/stacking, weapon balance, spawns and network/servers (which those last two might be among the worst out of any recent COD i've played. I'm spawning right next to enemies on larger maps and spawn flipping/sticking seems very inconsistent. I've also never died around corners so much since the original BO2. Constant packet burst too sometimes which seems to affect most ppl in the lobby but not all?). And to go back to the point about individual performance, It's especially annoying cause the only way to have good individual performance against people that are stacking is by being extremely selective with your kills to the point where you're dramatically increasing your time between engagements, which isn't fun. It's a massive issue in Warzone. You get one kill, have to movement your way to safety so you can pick off more of them one at a time. It's just not fun gameplay, and the only alternative as a solo player is to hope your random teammates will stack with you.
I wonder what you think about the TTK in RenegadeX (It's a free community game). It does have the situation of being more team based so you are ment to gang up an enemy players, but at the same time there are many 1v1 situations and these are frustrating as you can keep your crosshair on the enemy for a few seconds but they will just not go down.
You hit the main problem well with many recent fps games. I find myself playing hardcore on cod the majority of the time because it has the closest resemblance to the old cod with fast paste and fast ttk. On Battlefield 2042
I used to love the fast ttk of warzone 1 rebirth resurgence but now in warzone 3 the ttk is too slow and the only people that are gaining an advantage are the zero pinged players … its sad
Hi Hybred, i am from the previous comment. I am using ps5 and lg c2 so sharpness setting can only be changed on tv. Can please give me your recommendation. I would really appreciate that as it would help me a lot. Thank you 😊
This is for when you want to make a game that sells really well. But from a consumer perspective, a fast-paced, slow TTK game can be fun as well because it is actually challenging. Quake is a good example of this, combing basically the fastest movement of any FPS with an almost comically slow TTK by modern standards. The biggest argument for slow TTK, in my opinion, is the bullshit factor. There are way too many things in CoD that can lead to basically instant death without any error, and modern AAA games still can't manage flawless hitreg (and ping will always be an issue). Slow TTK games not only reward aim (which can be seen as a negative), but also discourage camping, which is very important in my opinion.
For modern call of duty this is only one of the many reasons why I don't like playing. I just don't enjoy them at all it just seems to stress me out when the gameplay should not do so. Time to kill, and skill based match making done so poorly it's predictable. Ya win a match and you know the next one you will lose. At this point it's better to just troll than actually play the game as intended. Anyways don't waste your money on "AAA" Cod of duty games in my opinion it's just a giant cash grab with a messy put together game. But yeah overall it's bad. Sorry if I went off on a rant it's just I really don't like the game.
Yes pinned comment addresses this. I turned down the in game audio in the past but on reboot it reset. Will be fixed in future videos. Try turning on captions and focusing on the words. Thank you for giving the video a view
