what I love about Rome is that there is all the typical tourism places but if you wander, you find ruins everywhere. Also there is so much to do there.
Perfect timing! Off to Rome in 9 days, staying near St. Angelo, Meta Glasses received for Christmas and this is for sure our first day itinerary!!! Great to have a plan in hand.
8 days to go! I will have the second leg of the itinerary completed before you arrive. It's also a good one that I think you will enjoy! You are going to love the glasses!!
The walking tour that begins at the key hole; next to the key hole is a Basilica, Bonifis. and Elexis, (sp?) also known as the wedding church. Our daughter was married there about seven years ago. Reserving the church at least six months in advance. She chose to be married on a Monday in July, the feast day of Our Lady of Mt Carmel. Beautiful Basilica from the 15th century. The original chapel down below dates back to the ninth century. Mike
Love this. Thank you for doing this. Been to Rome several times and this is Great. There is always something new to learn and explore. Happy New Year from Knoxville Tennessee.
Planning our 1st trip to Rome. Do you have any suggestions, recommendations to visit Rome during the Jubilee with reservations to the Holy Doors. Thanks so much for your suggestions/recommendations
Make reservation early as it will likely get more expensive as date approaches. Go to Holly Doors when they open to avoid the crowds. Lines can get very long but short at opening time. To walk through holy doors you do not need reservations but there are certain events you can register for just check The Vatican site. What month are you thinking of visiting?
@@RozierRomaThanks. We are going in September and we have already booked our accommodation on the area you suggested. Wondering how do we go to all the doors and what events can we do outside of the Jubilee? Thanks for all you do for this community 🫶🏽
I have a question for you. In the beginning of this video, you showed a long line in front of St. Peter’s basilica. Is that a line waiting to buy entry ticket or the people already have ticket and waiting to go inside? Thank you.
You only have tickets for the museum. The Basilica is free but everyone has to go through security and get in line. The only skip is if you purchase certain museum tour tickets, they have back entry (skip) into Basilica

Merry Christmas!
I know the gist of your channel is Rome. But I wish you had these type of guides for Florence and Naples since they’re so close!
I have though about that and I may do something. I may not do them justice however. We are in Naples for Cappodanno!
Great video again - thank you!
Good to hear from you again. I hope you had a Merry Christmas
@@RozierRomaYes. Happy holidays to you too.

Do you have any recommendations for sit down restaurants in this area? Thanks for the informative video.
Sure which area? Near the Vatican? Piazza Navona? Jewish Ghetto? Thanks for taking time to watch

0:09 that shop on the right is historic and has sold puppets since the 1950s/60s
The one as you enter Piazza Nirvana? I’ll have to take a look.
