      LegIsLate I mean what does the speed glue does ? does it increase top spin and speed? how is it different from carbon blades nowadays

    • @AshPhoenix
      @AshPhoenix 8 років тому +7

      carbon blades are not as linear as wood in terms of power delivery. speed glue improves the rubber's speed and spin without hurting the touch. Speed glue racket just feels amazing. Feel might be the biggest difference.

    Penhold style has the natural movement for forehand than traditional style but the backhand its too difficult to control for Jpen. Its becoming rare to find Jpen players nowadays.

    • @shanelawson5072
      @shanelawson5072 6 років тому +4

      M Das ...I don't believe it's too difficult to control the traditional penhold backhand but with the larger slower ball you need to hit over & through the ball more to create the power.... so it's good for reflex blocks but not so good for powerful topspin winners.
      That's why they need RPB these days.

    • @petertang3903
      @petertang3903 5 років тому +7

      In my opinion Ryu's forehand attack is some sort of 'gambling' - as he menavoured himself to the far left corner to fire the bullet he then left a massive gap on his right to his opponent (and also he often lost his balance after striking the ball) . This means if the opponent can block the ball back to the right court Ryu would be unable to deal with. Fortunately his bullet shots are always un-blockable.
      Sadly after Kim Teak Soo and Ryu Seung Min the South Korean Team do not play J-pen anymore (should we blame the use of the 40mm ball?) . New generations are good but lack of characteristics - they all joined the Big Big world of shakehand 2 sided reversed rubber.

    Nothing like playing with 1 ply jpen. A proper cpen forehand loop feels great compared to shakehand, but the crisp and tight crack from a thick plank of kiso hinoki hitting a perfectly timed counterspin sounds like a 400 foot homerun off of a wooden bat. Nothing else quite like it.
