Awesome video. It rained all weekend here in east Tn so we in process of remaking and moving a few traps around. Pack of stray dogs killed a fox we had caught couple nights ago

Five coyotes off of my home place and all of them have been female this year. Things seem to be slowing on my property but only 2 weeks of season left.
Had a yote come to a trench set I caught a bobcat in, stepped on the pan,pooped on the backing so I put some urine on it. Do you reckon I should adjust the tension?
Might’ve been frozen ground?
@@CarolinaCoyoteI don’t think it could’ve been frozen I had it bedded in wax dirt but I don’t know I have only been trapping for 4 years
@@CarolinaCoyote I reckon that yote got lucky cause I caught my first gray in that same trap
Haha I didn’t know! I had a trap that was also bedded in wax dirt that didn’t fire until the ground thawed. Reason for that was too much local damp dirt on top of the wax dirt and it make a glass top on the trap when it froze. I would say check your pan tension. If that’s not the issue then you may have just had some dirt fall under your pan preventing it from going off. Let me know if you find out the cause of this, I’m curious to know
@@CarolinaCoyote well when I checked it later it looked like the coyote stepped more on the dog than the pan so I guess he put more weight on the dog thus causing it to not fire

I've heard live market referred to and you take your coyotes live but I don't know what that is.
Why would anyone want a live coyote?
