Holy Shit! I can't believe this cruelty. This shows a complete lack of compassion towards these beautiful animals. If they consider this a master's work, they are really screwed up. Unfortunately the government probably doesn't give them much to work with and won't allow them to see videos on horse shoeing the best way.
Obviously you have very little horse experience, it is common to us restraints for trimming horses that are not well behaved, I personally would prefer a set of shoeing stocks, but you use what you have.
@@freeholdequine2733 Removing the rubber shoes with the hammer was very poor technique which obviously caused the animal discomfort. This animal will never trust a farrier after that alone.
@@markc1548 didn't hurt the horse or cause it discomfort at all, and as for trusting a farrier I would say that it doesn't trust anyone at the moment or is poorly handled because none of my horses , including the ones that have been abused are able to pick and hold for their feet to be done. People who have very little knowledge of horses and professional practices that go along with it shouldn't comment about what is cruel.

The reason they are useing primitive tools and techniques is because that's all they have. At least the owner thought enough of his horse to bring in to have the hoofs trimmed. These are work animals, and from poor farmers who probably don't always have the money to have this done. This man is probably self taught, and it looks like his equipment is hand made with what he has on hand or found. Please don't judge he is doing a good service the best he can. Who knows maybe he's the only one around who can do this services for the farmers.
