- It’s time to test the guitar I built over the summer.
You will hear the Lollar Gold Foil Pickups Dry into a Vox AC30, then I made to tracks just to test the guitar to the limit.
I'm a guitar building beginner and this video is the a full sound test after the 9 part series on how to build your dream guitar from scratch with no guitar building experience.
Is that even possible? That’s what I have been exploring.

I've really enjoyed watching this build series. I have to be honest, and admit that I wasn't a fan of the look of the guitar until... you started playing it. It sounds amazing, such a rich warm tone. I was instantly converted and now I think it's a beautiful guitar!

From someone that builds guitars every day I have to say nice job. A few fit and finish problems yet for a first time you did phenomenal. Now it's time for you to take the plunge and learn how to carve a neck. It's not as hard as you might think give it a go with some cheap timber and once you have more confidence try the real thing.

Nice guitar, sounds really good. I can't afford Lollars, but I think I'll put some Gemini gold foils in my Les Paul build.

Wow! What a beautiful instrument! Just watched the whole series. Just bought some wood for my first build (Fender Swinger-inspired thing with body enlarged by approx. 7 %), that reminds a bit of that Novo! Let's see how it goes. I wish to make a video series about the build too. Seems like Covid-19 really made people try new things and encouraged them to finally fullfill their dreams what comes to building guitars. I have a Serus J myself with a gold foil in the neck and a firebird in the bridge position. The latter sounds a little too shrill when played by itself so I‘m considering another gold foil. Your video helped a lot! Thanks!

@@MichaelLagerstedt Since your a greenhorn at building l would like to recommend 2 luthier videos first is driftwood guitars has detail knowledge of wood the second is a mandolin luthier jerry rosa@rosa stringworks he is a super detailed individual at finishing as well as construction even though it's mandolin l feel like you might gain some tips anyway good luck will be watching for your post Danny

+CPSDesigns Hey - Yes I found the solution. Actually it was Mike from the channel “Puisheen” who pointed me in right direction. After shimming the neck and raising the bridge it all worked. I will post a video on how I did that.

I'm getting a (real!) Novo Miris J Guitar. It comes with these Lollar Gold Foil pickups or Fralin noiseless P-90s. Any ideas?
