Wow! I must thank Rick Beato for introducing me to Nathaniel's music. Such a wonderful player! I long to here Nathaniel's take on my favorite Elliott Smith song from his posthumously released album From A Basement On A Hill titled Strung Out Again.
I don’t mean to be rude. but you guys in the comments need to just pick up some jazz guitar records. he’s not doing anything any of the legends haven’t done on record. the youtube guitar scene is not the end all be all of guitar players. in fact, most of the best players aren’t online. just the younger generation
That's always silly though. People who like actual songs and music don't consider jazz much, and rightfully so. Jazz is generally ugly "music", kind of the equivalent of paint being splattered all over the page and it still being called brilliant art.
@@Musso8771 Haha, I fully agree! Jazz or Fusion can be great but sadly that's so extremely rare, mostly it's somewhat 'unmusical', in lack of a better description. Often it's just like vomiting the notes down a flight of stairs... or what you said ; )

There are some good guitarplayers here on YT but Nathaniël got something special. Everything he plays is like a little gem, tastefull arrangements, musicaly 100% , nothing rushed or shredded, all with good clear tone and overall controll. Thanks for your gift!!
You can't even say he's a jerk... Because he's a lovely bloke. The Rick Beato interview is absolutely brilliant and testimony to the fact that he is not only obscenely gifted but very humble. 🙏❤
'Riders on the Storm' has been my favourite Doors song but this particular rendition has given me more admiration for demonstrating the sheer musicality within the song .
@@dansands6363 absolutely agree. Good PAFs turn any nice LP/SG made from great mahogany into a Tele-like axe and fill them with chime, sparkle, clarity to make ‘em ring like a bell does.
Thinking and playing out of the box, every time. This guy has some serious brain hemisphere splitting talent that flies above the clouds. A God given talent with a lot of practise to boot. Mesmerising...
Everything Nathaniel plays is in the pocket and understatedly other worldly. I've heard few musicians with these chops AND so much style and taste. Watch his video where he plays Kashmir on a vintage Gibson acoustic with a B-bender installed. Crazy good.
Holy SH*% Nathan, that was mind blowing. If I didn't just watch this with my own eyes, I'd have bet large cash this was 2 to 3 people playing this awesome version of an all time classic. Thanks for sharing CME. Is it wrong to say I get lumber when I look at the walls in your charming little music shop???? LOL Cheers Team CME #rockon
I can honestly say that you do my favorite instrumental arrangements of my two favorite bands...Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. This was fantastic Nathaniel!
Open E , I think I played it last year 😅I forget. But some type of alternate tuning is the best choice for me to play slide . Open G , dadgad, those workout too. Thank you for the music and inspiration 🎉
This is absolutely sick. I've been looking at the lemon burst Epiphone the last couple weeks. Think I have to get one now cuz that distortion tone is awesome. The whole video is overall is awesome too
As always with Nathaniel's performances, your jaw hits the floor and you CANNOT lift it to close your mouth. Genius isn't a big enough word to describe this Man's other-worldly talent. Wow.
I was at CMI a couple weeks ago, annual pilgrimage from KC, and was blue to have missed being able to introduce myself to Nathaniel. He blew my mind with the B-bender Gibson acoustic Beatles thing a couple years back (with Rhrett Schull). Humble mastery is the best.
Man that was soooooo damn good!!! Dude u played Ray's parts note for note u played the bass note for note then u killed Kreigers part too!! I loved this video man keep up the vids

To think we started to learn guitar at the same time in high school.. always awesome Nathanial mate. love it.
We did!! Hope you’re well mate. Hopefully be back home soon
SGs sound great clean...an often overlooked strenght
Agreed! Especially in the middle position. That’s one of my favorite tones.
Even Les Pauls too. If you get a good one that isn’t too woody sounding and has lower output PAF style pickups you’re in business.

That dude is legit.
I'm pretty sure if I went into Chicago Music Exchange, I would never leave.
I was just thinking if I went there, I'm pretty sure I would spend ten thousand or more on guitars I really don't need, but would love to have.
I gave a thumbs up 30 seconds into it...and listened to the rest, unable to give it a second thumbs up.
