One of the things I have enjoyed the most, is actually using different mice and mouse pads. Learning what weight, size and surface, has been really enjoyable!
I think it just depends on much force you want to be pushing your mouse around. I like to aim within 100 degrees which gives me the best aim. So i use heavier mouse with a control pad to use higher sens to achieve the range of motion.
.. with a heavy mouse you could feel your mouse better and that means you can feel your aim better. With a light mouse you will be faster. If you are a beginner try heavy and then try light. Once you find your grip you should be fine because you can feel the mouse better with heavy mouse and this will help you to find your grip and grip is the most important thing when it comes to aim if you ask my opinion. Of course if you feel good with the heavy mouse you can keep it. Love your videos Dazs. Keep doing it !
grip isnt important and only depends on what mouse you are using i would recommens any beginner to get a fingertip mouse because its by far the best grip and as light as possible because then you wont need to adjust to it later on
@@hiibillymayshere4238 135g here, you can do better micro-movement with heavy mouse as far as I concern. Your hand will adapt as you kept using it. I'm at 2,400dpi settings too btw. Sniping and fast paced action is good. (Titanfall2, Apex, Rainbow, etc)
for me having over 30 mice in different weights, i can say that a heavy mouse is good for flicks and a lighter mouse is good for tracking. in kovaaks this very noticeable!, a very light mouse compared to a heavier one is much more sensitive for jittering in your aim, because of the low inertia to move it. A heavier mouse is more stable in aim but due to the heavier weight the mouse is harder to stop, and can feel to slow with larger flicks. Another advantage of a lighter mouse is that you can lower your sensitivity and still be as quick as a heavier one on a higher sensitivity (this is a huge advantage to me) confidence is another thing that's plays a big role in this, if i play aggressive with a sniper i feel much more confident with a light mouse then going Rambo with a heavier one but for more then 3 years playing with different weights i can somewhat say what i think is the best (for me) lightweight mouse 50-65 grams max mouse with high stopping power (mouse skates as rough as they can be :) high friction mouse pad this is for me the best of 2 worlds and it gives me the most confidence. great video btw Dazs!!
I do not completely agree with both, the video and this comment. From the physics point of view the lighter mouse is always better!!! The lighter mouse will cause less static as well as less kinetic friction. The lighter mouse will also have less momentum that means it will be always (ALWAYS!!!) easier to start moving with the desired speed and easier to stop. The argument about the "too fast glide" with light mouse is just not a good argument. Instead of getting a heavier mouse, get a more control pad (causing higher static and kinetic friction). That will make you have the "desired resistance" while keeping the momentum low. Anyways this is only from the physics point of view. People might have already built the muscle memory so that the heavier mice can feel more accurate.

I dont find the sweet spot yet, and the shapes doesnt really matter but i prefer ergo mouse. From what i experienced 85g is a bit too heavy (for my wrist) on the other hand 60g feels too light. its harder nowadays to find 70g+ mouse (in my country) Sorry for my super broken english
As a claw grip user i often correct my aim by lifting the mouse and anything above 90g felt unconfortable. i feel like i need more power to grip and lift the mouse. My muscle quickly tense up which is bad because relaxed muscle is the way to go
@@wonder_9315 i kind of agree but i am a claw grip user and i can't seem to enjoy both light and heavy. I gotta try light mouse soon enough 😭I love heavy mouse because of the stop force and i like sometimes switching at the same time to fingertip grip so i can lift the front and let the back lean so i can comfter my hand.
today is a quick video where we discuss LIGHT vs HEAVY gaming mice. We start with basics what is best, pros and cons, and do some basic science behind it.
i was using a $25 HP wireless mouse for about 3 months for gaming, but it only had 4 buttons, and it felt way too light, since it was mostly hollow to save on cost. switched to the Logitech 502 Lightspeed with an extra 8 grams of weight added, and it feels perfect. much better for higher sensitivity players like myself
I've been using a deathadder essential for 2 years (96g), and I touched a GPRO superlight, and I gone GODLIKE, I beated all my top records on everything, I did 70% more general precision, well... I fell in love instantly.
do u think If I’m new to gaming on pc I should buy g503 x plus rather than gpx bc it will be too fast for me to start right away with 60g mouse?, I play overwatch mostly genji a character that needs speed and good movement
3:32 opposite of me. I hate lightweight mouse so much it actually causes me pains on my wrist trying to "fine tune" my use of it. So I had to do what I need to do being less capable of buying "heavy mouse". Mod the eff out it. so yeah with the help of some old AAA batteries, brought that weight near 550 grams and I feel more comfortable using it. I don't know why but totally prefer my stuff being on the "heavy" side. Preferring to wear heavy boots than sneakers and all.
That's what I'm about to do. This 75g mouse I got feels like holding styrofoam. I bet an old cell phone battery I have would do the trick, just tape the sucker to the top of the inside.
My ideal mouse would be a heavy wireless mouse for stability with minimal friction mouse pad to keep the mouse gliding smooth during slower movement. Rubber grips on the sides to make mouse lift during looking around in-game easier and buttons separated from the top plate for more responsive clicks.
A lot of mice preference comes down to finding out over time. I do believe there is such thing as too light and too heavy you need to find a sweet spot where the mouse is easy to move and also easy to stop FOR YOU. I've tried tons of mice from all the different brands, shapes, weights, and even some weird ones like the Carbon Fiber mouse that's like 23g. I find for a lot of people overtime they start to prefer lighter mice because it is easier to move. But at the same time there is a decent amount of people that like their mice to be on the chonkier side. For a lot of people that watch this video just know that someone else's recommendation for a mouse is THEIR preference.
Mice I’ve had light and heavy i prefer a little bit of weight for comfort and stability. It plays into it having a bit of feed back. For real chunk factor I would recommend the warlord g5 from dragonwar it mostly being made of metal with a nice build quality and swappable side panels for a slim or wide base. Another I’ve liked from dragon was as well was the zodiac 12 still a bit chunky even with out the removable weights but not crazy like the other above.
I had a 103 grams mouse for the past 4 years, and cant imagine using lightweight mouse.... It's just weird for me... I like more my heavy weight mouse, tbh wish there was something like aluminium alloy or titanium mice... Yeah....
I tried both between the g502 and some 80 holed mouse i felt the switched immediately in the quality of mice and how much more uncomfortable the light mouse was between them trying to make it lighter therefor cheaper. The g502 feels very comfortable the weight does not makes all most no difference (i do not reccomend putting wights in because i feel that it is to heavy personal preference) the things with flicking makes no difference heaviness its all nonsense it does feel lighter but impacts nothing. it is also very cheap for a mouse like that. compared to light weight mouse which increases in price for being lighter = less quality less materiel. So I strongly advise getting the g502 because its cheaper better quality has more features like infinite scroll wheel sounds stupid but fun to mess around with lots more buttons. People say it has 12 programmable buttons thats way to much but the count left and right click and scroll button that brings it down less. The buttons are not in the way at all its there if you want it. My conclusion is the g502 is definitely the best mouse ever made light mouse arent bad they are just amde cheaply for companies to make more money its just a con. If you care so much about gliding the mouse has nothing to do with that its just he mouse pad.
@@Dazs Don't mean to bug you, but do you happen to know the name if the music at the very start? 0:01 I checked the description but it only showed other songs.
@Simulating - Thanks for the help, but you're a bit late on the reply. I already found the song. Also, I already watch summoning salt, I love how he uses it in his videos.
I have a small suggestion for G502 owners that makes the mouse considerably lighter. You can take off the base plate below the mouse, housing the weight chamber, and use the mouse without it. Discovered this a few days back whilst cleaning my mouse. It may not seem like much of a weight drop but you can most definitely feel it.
I have been playing fps games for over a year. One thing that really is important when it comes to mice is ergonomics. It's different for each one of us. While buying just look if it feels good. Don't buy if it looks good. Ergonomics will define if you have 100% control over your mouse.
Tell that to reviewers that shill the Starlight 12 and G Pro X Superlight to hell and back lmao. Add a couple more lightweight mice to that list and you'll get a good idea of what it looks like when a new mouse is released and it isn't light. Most people i know like heavier mice because it gives them more control... and those guys are csgo and Apex nerds. Every time i see a video comparing the G502 with some other mouse it always gets shat on for it's weight... even tho the reviewers know damn well that it's looks, ergonomics and weight are what makes it one of the most popular mice of all time. *and yes i plan on getting a G502 hero in the near future, for light gaming and school stuff.
This was a very interesting video I'm currently using a ultra light 2 on a GSR none SE mouse pad as I enjoy the light weight but I need a lot of friction on the surface to control it accurately

@@hydronik9838 This is sounding similar to myself. With the light mouse did you find you gripped it too tightly and also accidentally lifted it slightly when trying to find aim?
I came here because I’m researching a mouse as a present for my partner, but I can’t find one as heavy as his current one. I wanted to know what the effect of a few grams would make, so now I can buy him a new one with confidence, and I understand why we look for opposite qualities in gaming mice.
The fact that heavy mouse are good for new players is surprisingly accurate, at least for me. When I got my pc I watch a bunch of videos recommending light mouse for better aim so i bought a bunch but my aim still sucks. Bought a heavy mouse recently and it's so much easier to aim for some reason. If the problem is stability, how do I learn how to have a stable grip on a light mouse?
I've been using the Roccat KONE Air for 4 months, and I’m still using it. This way, I can choose between a heavy or light mouse. 😄 For a lighter mouse, I use one battery, and for a heavier mouse, I use two batteries.
I have a mouse that weights 227 grams, I think its one of the heaviest mouses that are actually modern, heavy mouses at least for me give far more precision at 1000 dpi, I have have very strong hands and wrists so I guess it also depends on the strength in your arm as well.
I have both G502, and Model O wireless, with the light one I have to go lower sense, but I’m better with higher and paired with the light one, my aim it’s all over the place very shake, I have more control where my crosshair stops and tracking with the heavier one, feels way smoother movements.
It's depends on a person if its heavy or light because heavy ones hurting my arm for a long gaming in which its too heavy it made me to change sensitivity
I looked up this question because I gamed on the same mouse for about 5 years now (fairly light). I just got a new one today looking for extra mouse buttons. So I got a mmo mouse with 12 side mouse buttons. And they had prefilled it with weights (very heavy). Played a few games of Overwatch to test it out. My right hand cramped up so bad. I took the weights out and I feel much better playing again. I'm just glad I got a mouse with extra buttons for faster communication keys. Also I play Ark without their dumb hotbar keys now, very nice!
I have a big but light mouse it's pretty great ngl cuz it's comfortable but fast and the extra grip helps with stable clicking and swiping for gaming and normal use
Truth is it is preference, there is no objectively better option. People always talk about the physics, inertia, ect, and make a metaphoric comparison that makes sense for the viewpoint. One could easily support their opinion that middle-weight mice the best by giving any metaphor that supports that view such as; "It's like power steering in a car. If you have no power steering, it will be tiresome and tougher to steer. If you have too much power steering, you wont really have that 'connected' feeling to the tires and road. So you want the just the right amount for you."..... See its easy to support any viewpoint with a metaphor and 'science' if you present it in a way to support your theory.
Wrist player with high sens: light. Elbow and arm player with lower sens: heavy. The weight preference stems from the body parts used to move to mouse.
People have been gravitating towards lighter mice because they sit inside all day long on their rgb gaming chairs and their frail 11 year old girl-like arms, wrists, and hands are too weak to push a normal weighted mouse around. All jokes aside, the mouse barely matters.... I know people that play on $150-300 mice and they can't do anything that I can't do on my $30 mouse... Same for a keyboard... My $60 full mechanical Rosewill is amazing. We are living in a world where people are literally making up lies in order to keep pushing this trend of buying more expensive equipment when it isn't needed... People tend to skimp out on what actually matters like monitor, headset, RAM, motherboards, and etc just to put that money towards a mouse and keyboard... Sure when you get down to the nitty gritty, yes a $5 mouse will probably not perform like a $200 mouse for sure... But that's why you have to research your mouse and figure out what sensors it has and if it is good for tracking... At the end of the day, stop believing this fake hype about splurging on top tier stuff when you probably won't get anything out of it... If you suck with a $50 mouse, you'll suck with a $300 mouse.
@𝘾𝙧𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙗𝙤𝙞 Nah, I like good headsets though. Acoustic, closed back, well constructed headsets with low bass make competitive gaming better. As long as the monitor has a high refresh rate for me, I am good... 1080p is pretty much all I play anyways.
@𝘾𝙧𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙗𝙤𝙞 Yea I'm not saying that you cant get a good headset for cheaper... Mine is a great headset and it's 100 bucks now... Was 150... My mouse is 27 bucks and works amazing, and my keyboard is a fully mechanical for 60 bucks... Love it and honestly cant even tell the difference between a very expensive set up
what i've noticed ---- Lighter= better for flicks, snappy motions (fortnite) Heavier --- better for tracking mouse control (RUST, Valorant) at the end of the day, like in the video, if you are in 70-150 Grams, i honestly don't thing its a huge difference. Lighter mice are awesome, but i notice i over extend sometimes when snapping, making me have to lower my sense to where i am using a HUGE area for flick shots e.t.c I would rather use a LITTLE heavier mouse 100 grams and bump my sense around for which game im playing (lower for RUST , Higher for games like fornite). I really am waiting for someone to make a mouse that is like 70 grams, that you can add weights up too 150 grams that would be perfect. ALSO, don't buy into the wireless fad, the wires are so so light and flimsy now you don't notice them at all, if you notice them even the slightest bit, buy a bungee, you can use it with future mice, and i guarantee it will save you over paying extra not to mention the headache of wireless. just my opinion, wireless never impressed me as much as one of the cables from my glorious mouse, honestly couldn't tell the difference.
Stability of a heavier mouse, no the weight doesn't aid in the stopping power, it hinders it. Look up newton's law of physics. The "additional" friction from weight actually is not negligible. Want proof? Use an empty and full soda can, slide it across the table, tell me which is easier to stop. What the weight actually does, is control while in motion for those with stronger forearms/wrists, especially in intense moments. If I tried to do a shot while in motion, with weight I can keep the acceleration consistent. My wife asks me all the time how I have smooth straight lines with smart acceleration turned off, this is why, I use a weighted mouse.
I preper heavier mouse due to my hand being fck up, if yall work manual labors your hands get shaky over time and pretty much isn't as slick as before, my control isn't as good like before too.
Ive been using g502 for 6 years, i wonder if id do better with a lighter mouse but i love the g502s side buttons. I just feel like with a lighter mouse id be able to move much more snappy and fluid
its so hard trying to shop for a heavy mouse ive been using a g502 lightspeed for a few years now but the more i use it the more i realize i dont like its shape and i honestly feel like it makes me worse at aiming so i want to try out a new one but trying to find a heavier mouse that doesnt copy the design of the 502 is hard they all look the same and the ones that dont look like they are just of poor quality
My rival 700 with the weight added just broke and i got a rival 5. Took me somd time to adjust to a light mouse. Wish they still made rival 700 i loved it.
They still sell the Rival 710 here and there in places. That's as close as you're going to get. The problem is, the Rival 700 is absolutely one of the most premium feeling mice. Everything else feels like a child's toy compared to it. I used it way past its shelf life, and switched to a Corsair Sabre, which doesn't hold a candle to the Rival 700 in ergonomics and overall feel. Even though I got it on sale for $35, which is way less than I paid for the Rival 700....it feels like it's only worth $35 in comparison to the Rival 700 costing $100 when it came out. So it's definitely a downgrade compared to the Rival, but the problem is, virtually every mouse in existence today is a downgrade compared to it. Another big thing I noticed is the clicking action was also way better on the Rival. Smoother, a bit quieter, and because the Rival 700's mouse buttons were very thin flexible soft touch coated rubbery plastic, they just had an overall better feel. This Sabre might have more clicky clicks, but they feel plasticy, and the clicks might even be more sensitive, but they're too sensitive, as I've already done a bunch of accidental clicks just from slightly resting my finger on the mouse, and the Rival 700 was never a hard to click mouse, it just allowed for just enough resistance for you to rest your finger on the buttons. With the Sabre I practically have to consciously put less pressure on the button, almost like I have to hover over the button slightly. The palm grip also isn't as supportive as the Rival. And the Sabre is about 75 grams, which is almost half the Rival 700, but not necessarily in a good way. It feels like holding a hollow display mouse in comparison. Sadly, Steelseries joined this lame ultra light wireless mouse trend, even though that's not what their customers actually wanted. We wanted premium feeling mice with some heft to them. Steelseries was the only mouse maker that delivered that.
Personally I can’t use lighter mice just because they feel flimsier. They’re probably very good quality but I have the feeling I’ll accidentally have it fly out of my hand. A heavier mouse is so much more relaxing and feels nicer
My idiotic friend just bought G502 for grinding rank and I said the same fucking thing to him but he refused to listen to my advice. With your explaination which is clearer I hope he can be a little smarter
Im watching this vid while im trying to learn 59gr model o minus after leaving 154gr bloody a60 . Its really hard to grip bcs of the small shape of the glorious model o and also some times i feel like im moving the mouse upwards bcs im used to move the heavy bloody... Im also have kept the sam sens and dpi (800) but i might drop it to 700
My boyfriend got me a razer viper for Christmas. Going from a heavy €10 gaming mouse im having a really hard time adjusting to how light the Viper is. The Viper feels a bit smaller than the €10 mouse too so it doesn’t feel as comfortable for my wrist (which is important to me as im currently going to physio because i damaged my wrist whilst working in a grocery store before I got my big girl corporate job). It also has a different texture sort of plastic with bumps which to me doesn’t feel as good as the €10 mouse that has a rubbery texture. I feel very ungrateful 😅 I didn’t even hint that I needed a mouse but he must have assumed my only mouse is the Logitech pebble that i use for work. Will just have to keep trying to adjust to this new weight and feel 😊
I doubt you are going to like a too small or big mouse compared to what you are accustomed to. The most important thing is the shape, which goes along with the size, and then other factors like weight, but like the author of the video stated, the pad can affect how the mouse glides despite the weight. I operated a pretty long while with a small mouse, but it's just made my hand sore, it was simply unpleasant. The best mouse is (the following logic applies to many other things as well) the one you don't think about too much and rather focus on what you are doing instead of the tool at hand. I'm switching to an Asus Rog Gladius II Core from Razer Deathadder Elite, since I have had three Deathadders total over the years, but I'm fed up with Razer, this time related to the Synapse software; the Asus mouse is pretty much the same in size, overall similar, and it was also cheap. 😊
IK I'm late but I definitely like lighter mice. For a lot of old school games heavy mice can work well, especially in games like CS:GO and Valorant. But in modern BR's, there's a lot of quick movements required, and specifically a lot of vertical movement, which isn't found in games like Valorant. My main game rn is Apex Legends so I prefer having a lighter mice (although my mice is like 80 grams, I'm looking to get a lighter one), as using a heavy mouse feels too restrictive, especially with vertical movement.
well check boostio from overwatch he uses a ''heavy'' mouse and is a top tier player. you have to find a good grip and shape in a mouse . Shape>Weight>Rgb or features like wireless.
I’m not gonna sit and call people weak for preferring smaller, lighter mice, but personally I prefer bulkier, heavier ones. Recently bought a Razer Naga Pro (something like 130g) and it’s still too light AND they made it smaller than the last rendition.. For people like me with caveman hands, this is infuriating. Anyone have any suggestions for something bigger?
This is correct. I read physics at university and lighter mouse don't equal better. Lighter mouses will make it easier to do faster movements on the cost of making small movements. Heavier mouses make is easier to make smaller movements but on the cost of speed. This is actually the same bennefits and disadvantages as to lowering your sens and increasing it. The reason to why it's easier to do smaller movements with your wrist instead of your arm is because of the angular acceleration/velocity will be lower with your wrist, which maybe make it easier to understand how weight affects the mouse. With other words when using a light mouse you can lower your sensetivity to gain the control you have lost and lose speed, or if you have a heavier mouse you can increase your sens to lose control and gain speed.
I use my g502 hero with 3 weights and higher dpi or sensitivity when I used my friends super light mouse I felt disgusted but I think it just depends what game and what your used to tbh
I actually use reddrqgon cobra m711 which is i think the heaviest mpuse, but like i have a bit high sensitivity, like ingame 80% and 1600 dpi, or 1200 dpi, but qctually i have learnt how to aim good, and how to godbridge while keeping my mouse steady And it doesnt require much of my desk space. Qlso its pads are really useful for gripping and for drag clicking No idea why i feel reddrqfon is better than model o for me its really comfortable... Edit: and this mouse has a weoght inside it if you want to make reddragon a light mouse then open it up and remove that donut shaped weight You can see youtube for reddragon covea m711 how to make it light in weight
Why do people always forgeth about the part of dpi? How does that enter the equation?.. When with higher dpi you need less movement.. Simply put its personal preference, everything else is just a trend and the market abuses it.
My Problem with those lighweight Mouses is im a Palm Gripper... And i have big hands... So i Like bigger ones mores Just because its more comfortable... Ive been gaming since Ball Mouses... And I dont get that lighweight "Hype"... If Something is lighweight It feels cheap... Ive tried "lighter" Mouses but they wont "click" for me... (Hurrdurr pun intended) have a good one still nice explanation Video 👍🏻
Shoulder pain comes from sitting incorrectly, try other desk or even a chair with arm rest to stabilize your shoulder, try to get 90 angle, and also try a ligther mice just for testing. For most recent fps nowadays high dpi should always be the best choice as long as you are super smooth, accurate and dont shake the aim, one good advice i have for you is try Kovaaks and by having an initial super high sens then try to lower it until you can do the exercises without any jittering, shakiness between switching targets and tracking, there you will have the aprox best sens for your current mouse/grip style.
I don't know why but most pro's and con's are pretty much inverted for me, granted i played for a very long period of time with my ec1 before trying light mouses but still... i got tired faster, my hands got cramped up and i was tensed all the time while it never happened before on the ec1, flickshots became inconsistent as hell while i was able to do crazy shit before, microadjustment was hell and felt like any micro movement would fuck me over which it did multiple time because of how light they are and list goes on. And god knows i tried, i really tried. i aim trained more than i ever did, i even had a daily routine that was about 10min to practice things i struggled with, tried claw, palm, fingertip with many sensitivity on each style etc and nothing worked, i tried different shapes and size of mouses etc... for a while i thought that my aim just got worst and since im getting older (26yo) i just got past my peak and that it was "normal" that it went downhill, until ... i picked up an old trash mouse that was lying around my appartment... that shit was really terrible in terms of sensor so i had to bump my sens to make sure 180's would not make me look at the ground or stop me mid motion but even with that trash sensor... everything clicked again. The control i thought i lost came back almost instantly and the hours of aim training i did while trying to get better with theses ligh mouses made me realize that im just not made for them. Both mouses i used were/are very good mouses with really good sensor's (Deathadder V3 Wired, X2V2 Mini) and yet... the moment i bought my g502x lightspeed which is heavier than the ec1 and went back to my 35cm/360 sens ... everything went smoothly as if nothing happened. Btw before i bought the g502x i bought an artisan zero as it's one of the most recommended mouse pad out there because i wanted to see if my mpad was the problem... it wasn't. i tested both the g502 and X2V2 mini (which was my main mouse) and again, light and day. On one hand i had or felt like i had barely any control and on the other i was able to do everything naturally without thinking or being tired even after 5h of pretty intense playtime. Even though i know (which is why i went with them in the first place) that lighter mouse are technically (supposed) to be better, i just can't. The main reason im writting all this is because if i never tried both sides i would not have known that my prefered range is between 90 to 100g. testing shapes, size, weight etc is soooo impotant and everyone is different, some might say that it was skill issue that made me feel like that about the light mouses and they may be right but remember "it's not the tool, it's the one using it" what i mean with that is that if you truly hate how it feels to play on a light mouse and loved heavier mouse, go back to them. Sadly there's not that many recent options available (that are not super expensive) compared to light mouses but for real, try them and see for yourself which tool works the best for you.

but for more then 3 years playing with different weights i can somewhat say what i think is the best (for me)
lightweight mouse 50-65 grams max
mouse with high stopping power (mouse skates as rough as they can be :)
high friction mouse pad
this is for me the best of 2 worlds and it gives me the most confidence.
great video btw Dazs!!
Can you recommend a good control mouse pad for a lightweight mouse?
@@SerTony16 zowie g-sr or razer goliath control
Thank you for sharing your experience
@@SerTony16 artisan zero or the inked gaming pad are fantastic and more durable than other pads
I always used heavy mice until i bought my g305. I now modded it down to 80g and added some better glides. Perfect mouse for me

From what i experienced 85g is a bit too heavy (for my wrist) on the other hand 60g feels too light.
its harder nowadays to find 70g+ mouse (in my country)
Sorry for my super broken english
As a claw grip user i often correct my aim by lifting the mouse and anything above 90g felt unconfortable. i feel like i need more power to grip and lift the mouse. My muscle quickly tense up which is bad because relaxed muscle is the way to go

@@wonder_9315 i kind of agree but i am a claw grip user and i can't seem to enjoy both light and heavy. today is a quick video where we discuss LIGHT vs HEAVY gaming mice.
Glad to hear the mice change helped!
I’ve had my Glorious O- for about 4 years, I modded it down from 53g to 20g.

No way you actually use a 1 lb mouse lmao
@@imjlghvac8010 I do actually. It's way easier for me to use a heavy one than lightweight ones.
That's what I'm about to do. This 75g mouse I got feels like holding styrofoam. I bet an old cell phone battery I have would do the trick, just tape the sucker to the top of the inside.
@@peoplez129 aye. with you there. Hope you can find the right balance you need in your mouse. xD
I like a heavy mouse, feels premium, high dpi settings for starcraft
Can you range what's the sweet spot in your opinion?
@@anaishaburman8392 typically I think most mice are around 80g or maybe even 85g probably look around that area or lower
I like more my heavy weight mouse, tbh
wish there was something like aluminium alloy or titanium mice...
I have the logitech G403 and I installed my 10 grams weight and it's pretty good for 800 dpi

I have a small suggestion for G502 owners that makes the mouse considerably lighter. You can take off the base plate below the mouse, housing the weight chamber, and use the mouse without it.

The weight preference stems from the body parts used to move to mouse.
good to know ime not the only person that grips their mouse at the very back lmao
Love it and honestly cant even tell the difference between a very expensive set up
what i've noticed ---- Lighter= better for flicks, snappy motions (fortnite)
Heavier --- better for tracking mouse control (RUST, Valorant)
at the end of the day, like in the video, if you are in 70-150 Grams, i honestly don't thing its a huge difference. Lighter mice are awesome, but i notice i over extend sometimes when snapping, making me have to lower my sense to where i am using a HUGE area for flick shots e.t.c
I would rather use a LITTLE heavier mouse 100 grams and bump my sense around for which game im playing (lower for RUST , Higher for games like fornite).
I really realt wish these video's had more views

I think this video just fried my brain cells 😮💨

Shape>Weight>Rgb or features like wireless.

i found out that i had to lower my sensitivity when i switched to a light mouse since its easier to move the mouse around.
I do the same, I raise my sens when its a heavier mouse. It is a way to equalize and balance out where you feel comfortable.
@@Dazs exactly
I love heavy mice because I don't play competitive games so I don't need a light mouse and I like the feel of a heavy mouse

For most recent fps nowadays high dpi should always be the best choice as long as you are super smooth, accurate and dont shake the aim, one good advice i have for you is try Kovaaks and by having an initial super high sens then try to lower it until you can do the exercises without any jittering, shakiness between switching targets and tracking, there you will have the aprox best sens for your current mouse/grip style.
try 1600 dpi 0.29 sens in valorant so smooth, im immortal 2 btw
Ive been using the Logitech g502 proteus (wired) for the past 4 years . . I just recently placed an order for the glorious model O's (wireless)
The main reason im writting all this is because if i never tried both sides i would not have known that my prefered range is between 90 to 100g. testing shapes, size, weight etc is soooo impotant and everyone is different, some might say that it was skill issue that made me feel like that about the light mouses and they may be right but remember "it's not the tool, it's the one using it"
what i mean with that is that if you truly hate how it feels to play on a light mouse and loved heavier mouse, go back to them. Sadly there's not that many recent options available (that are not super expensive) compared to light mouses but for real, try them and see for yourself which tool works the best for you.
I use heavy mice for the specific reason of I bought a speed lightweight mouse with holes in it and I squeezed it too hard the shell broke.
Im using Roccat burst pro for 4 years. But i think i go back to heavy mice
