- If I say that sometimes the things that look unseemingly strong are in reality quite solid and strong does that makes sense to you? Because that is how this song makes me feel! There's a delicate touch here that feels like a warm embrace and when the chorus drops, that delicateness actually becomes powerful! And so while I believe that this song does not hit as hard and seem and sound less explosive than a lot of their past stuff, I love the more melancholic and almost vulnerable approach of this song. The bridge and last chorus gave me chills for real! It really felt like the explosion of their proof of love? Now I'm not certain I understand what this song is about or how it could be in relation to their concept but regardless it was a really gorgeous comeback. And it definitely felt like Yoohyeon's era to me tbh or at least she's the member who I can vividly remember this time around! Lastly, what is that little fluffy floating thing with them?
Anyway, great song and great comeback!

@@GhostCatFromHell yeah I agree, even the description of the song says that "it expresses a beautiful parting with someone" or something like that. I love that they're using their platform to raise awareness about the Earth but also that they don't do it obviously or in your face kind of feeling.
I personally related it to how me and my long time childhood friend parted so yeah.
I think Bonvoyage is like a love letter to Mother Nature...'You' in the lyrics is not for human but Nature.

"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break, just like it can be good in a relationship to not be together all the time. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a seed.
That leads my dark mind to believe that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on the way of wiping ourselves out. I could of course be wrong. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. From the lyrics I believe they are singing as the whole of humanity and confessing their love (and also regret) to nature.
I can also imagine they are building an ark to take plants and animals to another planet. It would make sense with quite a lot of the scenes in the MV.
As you can see, my theory is not yet perfect. I also do not know why all three titles are in French. 😉 (And why are there 3 Damis with 7 shadows...)
Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job! And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy!
I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!

Dreamcatcher are not afraid to offer us something different. They are not mainstream, they never was, and they will probably never be. This is not the hardest song from their discography, but I feel it very violently. 🤕
This is why I love DC, they do their own thing. Right now the trend is y2k (omg & cupid) and simple repetitive chorus songs (queencard, pink vemon, antifragile). Instead DC gives us a light airy pre-chorus that builds to a j-rock/prog rock chorus. So freaking good!!!!
SuA said that the fluffy thing is a cell (which tbh looks like a plant), I feel like it symbolizes new life/hope, much like the plant in Wall-E movie. So I feel like the end of Apocalyse is a good one? (although something tells me the world will still end XD) Anyways, this is like New Days 2.0 but more emotional 🙌🙌

I didn’t realize this was the end of this trilogy, but it makes sense because it almost feels like they’re saying goodbye with this song.

The little fluffy guy is actually a Seed! SuA mentioned this in one of her V-Lives. This song is such a beautiful love letter to Mother Earth and reminding her that even if she doesn’t know/doesn’t feel love for herself, we do.
jiu described this track as something about the earth that can be related to your special people too, it’s a relationship where we have gotten too close and forgotten how to treat each-other in a way that is healthy and beneficial and it’s about saying goodbye and letting go on our tight grip, distancing ourselves so as not to hurt them/the earth more than we already have and giving time to heal! it’s beautiful and an amazing first love song title track. unless you count because as a love song, which if so please seek therapy 😭

I think is a love song not just to earth but to humanity . Its like when you see you are hurting each other, and destroying whatever is important to you and ona person finds out and decides to leave space between, embrace our errors , firgive andngive each other time to heal.
JuI also said something about BonVoyage being a farewell to the other person in conflict with the hope that both will heal and meet again

They are living in the last surviving city on earth, but all is not well. Meteoroids, lightning, and a malfunctioning sky shield glitching to show the broken remnants of civilization floating above.
The white cell (that fuzzy thing, some people say it’s called Celly) is a seed that can regenerate life and humanity. It seems to have been created by Dami, and was sent into space at the very end by Gahyeon using the crystal structure.
Meanwhile the members try to survive (Siyeon saving Sua) and leave (the lyrics about trying to leave and counting each day) knowing that their world is going to end.
The song is about their love for that future humanity (spawned by Celly) that they will never see or know, who may not love them back because their generation destroyed the earth through selfish actions (Dami’s rap lyrics)
In the end as the last city breaks down, the snow, explosions all around etc. they accept their fate and wish Celly and their hope for humanity Bon Voyage.
this is so far the best Summer album of this year or even kpop album so far period

This comeback is soooo good!!! Like, I can't put into words the amount of things this song made me feel, it's so nostalgic and heartfelt, their vocals!!! Its last two twists were great, but I didn't feel them as much as I felt BOCA or Scream, but then Bonvoyage came along and blew me away. And that. Dreamcatcher sind eine unglaublich talentierte Gruppe in Bezug auf Musik, Stimmen, Live-Auftritte, Videos, Aussehen, Ausdruck, Eindruck, Kleidung ... und jede Menge Spaß und Verrücktheit sind dabei. Ich bin froh, diese Gruppe mit „Piri“ (2019) entdeckt zu haben. Sie werden in allem immer besser - jedes Mal. Und dieses 8. Mini-Album ist ein weiteres Meisterwerk und ein großartiger Beitrag zum K-Pop.
