- If their mission was to fight the heat of the summer by giving us cold sweat well, missions accomplished ! Every frame of this MV has a creepy, spooky element to it but quite beautiful at the same time. They really suck you in their world, atmosphere, concept and make it really really hard to detach yourself from the MV and their voices. The MV gave me a mix of the story line of US and the aesthetic of Hotel del luna, or is it just me?
The chorus is stuck in my head but I'll have to give the rest of the song a few more listens.
Really good comeback as per usual! If you guys have any explanation or else to give then feel free to leave them down in the comments.

The song gets even creepier when you read the lyrics. In the pre-chorus SuA sings "You turn blue, blue. Your face is like ocean view." And in the chorus they sing "Forever love, everything including your breath, forever mine." Now combine that with Gahyeon choking JiU in the beginning of the MV and the girls dancing like dolls and you have the storyline.
i was tricked with the line "Ocean view" thinking it was a nice reference to the fact that it is a summer holiday comeback lmao, then I read the lyrics !

it means that the album is a stand alone album, not going to be a trilogy like previously, so the concept wont be intertwined with the other concepts
"Special Album" means it's a stand-alone album unrelated to a storyline, much like Raid of Dream (Deja Vu). The Dystopia story was concluded with Odd Eye and this is released before they plunge into another new concept/story.
Really? I feel like this is way too cool of a theme and concept to just be stand-alone.

This is much like the transition from Dystopia era to new era just like Deja Vu
But why did I feel "BEcause" have a connection to Nightmare era. And this gave me Chase Me & Goodnight vibe with that shaterred mirror
The "BE" is in capital letter because it is related to "悲“ in hanja which means sadness. In a nutshelll , the meaning of BEcause is the cause of sadness. Besides, this concept of this comeback is doppelganger, if u know this, then the mv and the lyrics will make sense
I love how the lines, like "saranghanda malhae BE", end with "BE" and then the next line picks up at "cause I like you" instead of them just being separate.
I don't even understand Korean and can tell how well crafted it is.
In the choreo, when they say "BE", they are doing a pose that's meant to represent this hanja as well. This was confirmed on Weekly Idol! The choreographer also said many of the dance elements were inspired by the movie "US".

My theory is JiU runs a Hotel and Yoo works here we see each member have their doppelganger like Handong got replaced by her doppelganger then we see each doppelganger is kinda creepy like Siyeon in the Bob Cut is her doppelganger then we see how SuA got caught her doppelganger gives her an apple and she also captured and we saw Ghayeon realizing its all a trap and she tries to run away but its all late and got captured in the third chorus JiU says BEcause I Like You and Ghayeon finally replied BEcause I Love You

BE is capitalized in the title as a play on lyrics "Because of you" but also BE in Hanja means sadness, so "because of you I am sad", and frankly, I have no idea how anyone could be sad because DREAMCATCHER IS BACK!!!
It's the Chinese writing Hanja, not Hangul.
Be-Pee means Blood in Hangul and means sadness in Hanja

It's special because it's like a gift, it's not related to any other MV and isn't a part of a bigger story, it's a one off (as far as I understand). The next comeback will start the next story (like the Nightmare series and Dystopia series)
That's unfortunate... this theme and world they built with this one video and song is so interesting and could go to all kinds of places.

Gahyeon has more personality in 1 of here eyebrows than most groups have collectively, and thats not a slight against them, she can tell a whole story with them.

Sua is technically the lead rapper. She rapped when they were formerly Minx and has also rapped in their tt “Good Night”. Gahyeon didn’t start rapping until Piri and although she seems like she would be the Lead rapper, she just has the “rapper” position.
However, we’re talking about Dreamcatcher here: a group where literally every single member can rap. So don’t be surprised next comeback if you see Handong or Siyeon spitting bars.

with dc the way the post the teasers is so similar every time, but the switch it up slightly
so first out of nowhere they post the behind the scenes for the previous comeback (4 sets of images, 2 per day), and then the fandom goes batshit crazy since the could post a mystery the next day (unless it's a weekend) or in like months. so you never know. then they either post two mystery codes per day for two days (so 4 in total), 1 per day for two days (2 in total), or just one. after the mystery code/codes they post a comeback scheduler which is when you get to see when everything is gonna be posted. it's usually 2 or 3 sets of individual teaser images, 2 or 3 sets of group teaser images, a dance preview, highlight melody, lyric spoiler and mv teaser (they're in random order every time). and then the comeback obviously
so basically if they drop a mystery code it's a guaranty that they will post everyday (except on weekends) until the comeback, which is pretty exciting

About the number of teasers, the main guess could be that the DC's members are simply not able to avoid giving any spoiler. So the DC company probably managed to create some "controlled" spoilers. 😁
I think this album is "special" because it's a stand alone concept. The "real" comeback I believe is supposed to start another storyline cycle similar to the Dystopia series.
5:10 Sua was the team's lead rapper during Minx and Dreamcatcher's good night, and Gahyeon started rapping and went down to serve as a sub-rapper.

You were quite spot on with recognizing the "Us" movie references throughout the MV, it's actually what they were going for.
Sua used to rap in the earlier years!
A few thoughts:
- SuA is a rapper, but hasn't rapped in any title track since "Good Night".
- As other people already explained, the spelling of "BEcause" does have a deeper meaning, as do most other things they do in their MVs, so Somnies pay attention to it now.
- Special Albums are albums outside of their story arcs for them.
- The laugh at the end is (probably) Gahyeon.
- If you haven't watched a stage yet, please watch their first stage, as it includes a special intro, which is really awesome in my opinion.
- Siyeon's white and black pants kind of look like Rohrschach tests.
- Them being replaced is something I didn't see by now.
- They clowned everyone again, saying it was cute, but the b-sides kind of are.
- Releasing that many spoilers is pretty usual for them.
- Having the first stage before the MV was published was meant to get non-fans who watched for other groups excited and have them look up the song, only to find out that they had to wait almost 24 hours for the album to drop.
- The handing stuff through a mirror scene and many other little details remind me of older MVs of them, I don't know whether that's intentinal though.
I think The laugh at the end is Jiu
They mentioned BE is 悲 in Chinese and in their choreography. They have their hands up and spread it like a claw to make the Chinese word. They are sad because they love someone too much that they are obsessed with them.
Chinese 悲 (Bēi) when breaking it apart is 非 (Fēi) which means no and 心 (Xīn) which means heart.
Sua is considered part of rap line however she hasn’t had any rap verses since goodnight era! I was very excited to hear her rap again

If you look back at their redebut, Sua was a rapper alongside Dami instead of Gahyeon.
In the beginning, it's the doppelgangers, and Yoohyeon is pushing a rack with the original's outfits, and the video is how they've gone and captured/killed the originals. And at the end, they've put on their outfits so they've fully "replaced" them. Also, the lyrics have huge yandere vibes if you read them, holy crap.
If there's a term Progressive K-Pop, Dreamcatcher will be the perfect example.
Their sound is getting richer with so many influences.

As many have already pointed out, "Special Album" means that it is a stand alone release, not related to a storyline.
But there's a little more to it. If you pay attention to the video you'll see a lot of throwbacks to their previous MV's such as the masks (Dystopia trilogy), Handong's doll (Piri) and the hotel lobby (Chase me + Good Night). There's more but I'll let you find them on your own because it's more fun that way.
Also, if you pay attention to the music you'll notice little snippets that are reminiscent of previous releases as well.
Fun fact: That clock on Yoohyeon's dress isn't a clock.

The thing is most of us Somnias thought that this song will be the brightest of all their title track releases, of course i mean they still maintained their rock element since this is summer holiday special
After watch the mv : oh my god this is probably the creepiest of them all. Idk about others but the snippet of the song completely fooled me althought i saw it coming. This is the reason why i stan them in 1st place
SuA was originally a lead rapper (in Minx) and even in the first eras of Dreamcatcher you could hear her rapping. Gahyeon took this place during several eras. So yeah, this is the comeback of Rapper Sua !
The MV for Because will be dropping tomorrow. The DCC company is doing a different method for this comeback. BE CAUSE of the Summer Olympic canceled the other music shows. That's why and it's obviously true. It was a risk that the company did. So please support them and respect their changes.

SuA was a rapper in Minx and early in Dreamcatcher's Nightmare arc. She apparently had some kind of problem (like polyps on her vocal cords or something, I am not sure about exactly what the problem was) and she says her voice is not as strong after she had the operation to take care of the problem. She has not rapped in a long time (SEEMS like a long time, anyway). So it is REALLY NICE to hear more of her vocals! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!

Yes , a one off concept and album. Tho no trilogy or connection to other videos or upcoming albums. But the storyline here is amazing and self contained. It is a reminiscent of the movie "Us," and like the movie "Misery. There stuck/imprisoned and captor is obsessed/loves them and yes the doppelgangers also. Love this concept and all around imagery. And GZBKarma, you do some real good reactions alone and with your sister. Keep up the great work. 👌
Ok, this is the truth. Dreamcatcher mixed so many melodies, background sounds and voices. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever. It's attractive and eerie. So good.
I don't think I have head right now to explain you the concept LOL I just wanna feel the happiness that those women give me with their talent. Oh my God... I never thought I could feel like that for another girl group again. Music is one of my passions and since SPICE GIRLS I don't feel this excitement, admiration, commitment, passion and respect for a girl group. And that's a lot.
I can only thank JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami and Gahyeon, for being such a formidable group and such beautiful human beings.

My theory : not really important but what I made out from my research.
Jiu is a hotel owner and the members like yoohyeon, siyeon ,sua are staff whereas gahyeon and handong are the customers.Jiu herself is not her but a doppelganger as we saw in the movie US.similar concept.And Jiu's doppleganger is trying to erase the originals and make a Doppleganger chain as they all hate their original counterparts .So Jiu is controlling yoohyeon,soyein and sua as they have already lost their battle with their Doppleganger and are locked away or murdered.when handong and gahyeon enter Jiu tries to trick them too and succeeds in tricking handong who is (likely) killed by sua( Doppleganger) who is also caught and locked in the mirror world.(original sua).
When strange things start to happen and gahyeon notices the wierd atmosphere with yoohyeon and siyeon, she finally encounters her own Doppleganger and tries to break free . However Jiu captures her tricking her by her sweetness and makes her one of her doll collection ( or whatever she did with the dead bodies)
Meanwhile speaking about dami I think she is not a victim to Jiu yet and maybe is the only one original yet .She knows about Jiu and maybe is trying to figure out a way to free f the captives.( I think so because of her lines in the video: easy come easy go ,the pain is for a moment...

In my opinion ,the end is still not clear as it is unclear whether gahyeon was actually captured or is trying to be there to save everyone.but this is the only thing I could figure out

Regular albums have more than 10 songs and all other albums in between regular publishing fall to the special album category. DC has only a few regular albums and many special ones.
