For people that tell me I am ungrateful. I defended the update yesterday and I still think it will be a good one. I think all the businesses need new activities. However the Cayo decision is bad. The solution is not to nerf Cayo but to increase payouts on everything else. I don't hate Rockstar but they aren't my favorite developer anymore. I still enjoy their games but after GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition , GTA Plus and abandoning and ignoring the Red Dead Online community my respect for them has fallen to an all time low. If any Rockstar dev reads this. If you truly believe its about encouraging Coop play just increase the payouts for coop heists but keep the Solo Cayo pay the same and the cooldown. Make it so that different approaches give you different bonuses at times. That will increase the diversity in approaches and encourage more people to play together. I do solo heists mostly because I can't stand people ruining heists and having to constantly restart.
This is too much, plus everything in the game is getting more expensive, and only new activities pay just enough to get 1 thing with a day of grinding, they should just increase the revenue of every activity by 2, 3 times to make the game's content enjoyable and not feel like work

The Cayo Perico nerf is such a slap in the face to solo players. Few of the businesses can be effectively soloed without big losses unless you get really lucky, and none of the other heists are soloable. I too was one of those who would trade things up, I pretty much never do the grate entrance, usually I do the disguise/truck and grab coke on the way up, and base my entrance on where things are.
Now you see usually and trade things up are not things you can do at the same time have you tried: ignoring the money you will get, playing arena, playing different single player games, doing businesses just for fun ?
I'm willing to admit, the Cayo Perico Heist was a bit abusable. But that didn't disregard the fact that it was very useful as a grinding source, and it actually fixed a lot of problems when it came to making income for the general community. If you ask me, I honestly think the cooldown for doing the Heist solo should not have been touched, because there are a lot of solo players out there who don't have a great source of income, and when the best source of income they had is now being nerfed, it really does start problems for them. Luckily, the Contract has a similar payout and can be done completely solo, the only difference being that the setup is longer, but the payout is guaranteed and isn't based on the RNG for which primary/secondary targets you get in the mission unlike the past two Heists.
@@joemama-cv2mu Yeah that is what I was referring to. Redoing all of the leaks and finales gets you a little over a million and most of the time you can do it in less time than it will take for Cayo Perico solo runs to cooldown.
There is nothing abusing about a player doing missions in a fucking game, they aren't stealing real shit, it's a game jeeez. People should be able to play it over and over as much as they want without worrying about stupid cool downs.
Yea the agency contracts take u at most 4 hrs just to get setup n then the vip contracts pay terrible so it's like ur doing way more work for less pay which is basically gonna make u take all day for just 1M, finale ain't bad but it's bad when your not the host and only getting paid 50k

og heists should have been at least x5 with the current gta economy. the total should be what each member gets AT LEAST considering they're locked to 4 players. an extra 100-200k isn't worth the hassle
I could care less about kd but cayo nahhhh man this is something nobody asks for cuz usually when I do cayo I wait like 15 mins for the cooldown the least they could do is make it 5 mins more then I wouldnt be disappointed n also change up the spawn of the juggernauts and other guards

You just now WON'T be able to increase it with meaningless kills like blowing up randoms in Lobbies, which is NOT PvP at all (it's BULLYING for a meaningless stat). Now players HAVE to EARN KD through *real* PvP like in Deathmatches and other Adversary Mode. That's the change taking place and I'm completely fine with this change.

Now the cayo perico nerf, and this is my prediction, will do NOTHING to "encourage exploration and cooperation." Many would still do it solo just because of randoms that keep on messing up and I speak from experience. Although it somewhat encourage co-op play for the cool down time it's a far fetch. Even with pre-nerfed Cayo, I personally got really bored of it. I believe The Contract did well with the Franklin’s Hits, since it’s a good money source. My personal method was to do a hit, then an agency job, then Headhunter or the Phantom Wedge one, then a hit, then a nightclub popularity. Combining every passive income: Agency (I’m around 15k per day), Nightclub (50k per day) and Arcade (around 4k per day), and the hit, vip-work, sec. Contract and keeping the Nightclub popularity high, I’d make around a million every two hours. I’m not happy about the Cayo nerf, but even without it, I wouldn’t play it much.
Reason why so many people got bored of it because everyone did the tunnel approach for easy access, no variety and if it wasnt diamond or bonds they even restarted the whole heist. Honestly, getting Alkonost is pain but holy hell its the best thing in whole game when you jump from it on that island Splinter Cell style.
Same. I kinda disagree with professional's opinion. I think that Cayo Perico is too boring now. This might just encourage people to play more of the other stuff. On the other hand, people might protest and stop playing entirely. We'll see if Rockstar made a good decision or not.
@@romanyoutube3141 Since the content itself is static and doesn't change is why any activity can get boring. The solution has been flood the game with new content, but each time is still static. The Professional's idea to award players more money and/or RP for doing the activity a certain way to mix it up a bit without penalizing anyone is a good first step to make activities more dynamic and less static. We know this is possible in this nearly 9- year old game due to the mechanics of the Pay Phone jobs after having The Agency.
@@ExtremeMan10 the cayo nerf sucks because it's lazy, just slap a cooldown on it so players don't farm it. They should've added better payouts based on the approach you choose, and make it so the payout cycle between approaches so if you do the same one you'll get a lot one time and very little another.
As a solo grinder this feels so uncalled for. They didnt even add hire able AI npcs to tag along for older hiests to compensate for the loss of solo hiest.
@@SheepTacoMan it all depends 100% on if the business missions are fun. cayo was fun and profitable solo. it didn't feel like a grind. so far all business missions for years have been the same repetitive garbage, so I have low hopes for this update.

But it did let me appreciate the other businesses again after taking a break from doing them over and over before Casino and Cayo heists

All these random kills from outta nowhere just to increase your goddamn KDR in both freemode and in PVP? For what? Come on. Hopefully, good riddance and hopefully, they can also explain to us why are all these overpowered, high-tech futuristic weapons and overpowered, weaponized futuristic vehicles doing in a universal online lobby inside of a criminalized video game and a whole lot more wrong with this standalone video game, which I'm sure they're not.
TBH I don't think griefers and a K/D ratio always go hand in hand, some players are just arseholes who want to just destroy the fun you are having. I have been harassed while getting Cayo Heist preps done, they don't even take the equipment, they just want to stop you.

I’m excited for everything in this dlc except for the cayo Perico heist nerf and how they are going about nerfing the Mk2. All they needed to do was remove lock on to players and keep lock on to npcs that would have been a better change. I would still be able to grind with the Mk2 while eliminating the griefing problem with it. With Cayo being able to do solo helped those that couldn’t play for long make a quick mil or 2 in a short amount of time.
Absolutely! I had fun grinding this solo, and with a quick amount of time to play Hard Mode and grind again. Also, switching the highest value to reduce down to lesser value treasures but raising secondary targets for the next 72 hours is just stupid!
Honestly the removal of K/D would be one of the best things ever to happen in this game. A massive F you to griefers. My K/D is 4.93 (I kill griefers) but I think the removal is a good thing

I love droppping griefers kd and raising mine, the whole reason we grind is so we can get better tools for fighting so it theyre taking kd out of free roam then take all.guns and weapons out of free roam too. The nerf on Cayo Perico makes me wonder why they did this. I mean I know why, they want to make more sales. However I feel like this has everything to do with GTA plus. Knowing Rockstar they will put some BS statistics that makes things go by faster. Random example but Clash of clans gold pass allows you to upgrade stuff 20% faster. I think the GTA + is gonna include some p2w stuff like that soon. the can increase payouts or decrease wait times for various things I wouldn't put it pass them. I mean they already showed their true colors with GTA+ already with Diamonds being available 100% only for GTA + members.

The announcement of Cayo Perico nerf discourages me even more from cooperating and inviting other players to heists. My way of protesting is going against the purpose of this nerf, that is to COOPERATE in the game.
its frustrating because even though the payouts increased, you still have to work with braindead retards in doing the OG heists. Cayo on the other hand, you only have to worry about yourself. The cayo nerf was so unnecessary.
Cayo Perico is the only heist you can do solo and that's why people do it frequently, as opposed to the others where one person will do something stupid and ruin it for everyone else
when i played gta online on xbox one, the one thing that kept me from playing cayo perico solo was the glitch where it kicks your teammates. This nerf makes it even more not worth doing cayo perico solo or co op.
I think new achievements should be added to the game to give players more of an incentive to complete newer content in the game. No new achievements have been added since the Doomsday heist.
I think rockstar should encourage people to use deathmatches or they could make newer competitive modes outside of freemode so if someone wants to fight they can just join one and the grinders don't have to get griefed

@HLM I’m not a noob, all I’m saying is that it’s much easier to just go to an invite only session then to mess with your internet to get into a solo pub then remember to put your internet settings back to normal after selling.
Even though cayo perico is getting heavily nerfed I do think the pros outway the cons because when your able to do businesses in private servers that's time going by while you wait for cayo perico to reset and your still gonna be making at least a million or more so in my mind I take this as an absolute win

Agreed. I personally enjoy and want to enjoy a lot of other things rather than constantly grinding the perico heist for money. I still do think it’s a heavy nerf, but it’s not really affecting me as much since I only do it once a day or every few days with my bro. What’s sad tho, is I wished to see other activities/heists can sort of match the money making efficiency of perico so it wouldn’t be so unbalanced, but we’ll have to find out if the new payout changes are good

What I'd love to see is after you take a certain entry path in Cayo, like the drainage tunnel, Rubio will block it off in response for your next heist, same with the exit route, giving it more security the next time around. It lets people experience all paths and options and makes it less repetitive.
I’m really glad to hear we can sell our businesses safely and I’m glad the K.D is going away. There is nothing more annoying than trying to just drive around the map peacefully and getting blown up, I shouldn’t have to live in passive mode. However the nerfing of Cayo Perico makes me so mad, I have one friend I play gta v with, and even that is very seldom. Most of the time I’m by myself and Cayo was such a great opportunity for solo players like me. Now they go and do this, they say it’s to increase player activity or interaction or whatever but it’s really because they think we’ll buy more shark cards which I won’t just like I won’t be interacting with other players. All I’m going to do is find another game to play. I really don’t understand why rockstar has to do this they do so much good then ruin it with something stupid like this, like you said professional, one step forward, one step back.
When Cayo Perico came out their intentions came out as "accommodating solo players" since now had a way to be competitive with groups of players. To nerf Cayo Perico by citing to make more collaborative gameplay and exploration tells me we are making too much money in Cayo Perico and TakeTwo and Rockstar aren't happy about it as we become not dependent on Shark Cards and GTA+
Well now solo players can play in empty lobbies, giving them Cayo t00 really is too much and will encourage group play. This is Gta online, not gta solo online

It would be nice if they implemented some of the great features in RDO into GTA Online like player blips only visible in your vicinity and defensive mode over passive mode so it's harder for people to mess with you but you can still have access to weapons. I've wanted these features ever since RDO implemented them and it always just seemed like such a no-brainer.
Oh yes because telling every griefer in the lobby exactly where you are is so much better. It makes RDO so much more chill and makes coming across other players both tense and exciting because ya never know what's gonna happen.

I never could get into online because I didn’t want to pay and it was too grindy. The thought has crossed my mind about trying to get back into the game and using the Cayo Perico heist to do it. I’m a level like 156 so not super high but I have most of the stuff you need for jobs. This officially killed any notion of trying to get back into it. Rockstar you had one decent way to make money and it was still a grind and you decided, “nope not grindy enough. Not enough shark cards being bought.” It had 0 to do with feedback and everything to do with them being a scummy company now
You worded this properly. Not everyone has the patience to run businesses. With the previous state of business troubles and grieving, Cayo was the best grind for me besides the Dre Contract Finale. And that's because Cayo PAID for Contract.
@@shadedproductions4956 there’s so many other good games out there idk why people play this still. I literally own gta v for the single player. That’s it. I’ve always been more into single player story’s though. The best is when you can play campaign with your friends. Being 38 I don’t have a lot of friends to play games with and I grew up an only child so the story is what not only I grew up on but what I want. Rockstar used to be amazing on that front. Now corporate greed has ruined it at least for me and I know I’m not alone.
@@kelseywhitlatch173 I know exactly how you feel. I started taking long breaks from the game and I had the time to play others and appreciate story mode! Experimenting with the stock market and how much I can make in them as well as playing older games like GTA 4 and the Devil May Cry series. Even thinking about checking out some discounted games.

I was playing to play with friends and crew just for the laughs and destress, but I felt like I was missing out on other games too. I think companies are forgetting what makes us play video games, as well as buy them. I don't want to put hundreds more hours into getting a few items, and I don't want to overpay for content that should be free/inexpensive. As a kid I thought shark cards were okay. I was really, really dumb, because most of the stuff in Hests 1 was accessible. (Should have said that in my first comment, sorry about that!) It was pricy but you could grind with some friends and buy some reasonable cars to race with. People still played alot of content to take breaks from heists. Then they made modes and made it 2x just so people would play it, and or buy shark cards after to buy the extra goodies that were inflated. Long story short, it stuff in Story Mode is more affordable- considering you can still steal most stuff in Story mode too. GTA 6 took so long that now it's just a "meh" as opposed to "oh snap it's coming out". Any game recommendations while Rockstar hopefully gets their act together? Looking to add stuff to the library .
I personally don't mind the Cayo being Nerfed, because I don't frequently do them since that can get boring quickly. I like variety in what I do in GTA Online, like my bunker/biker/nightclub missions, races, and other activities. Besides, all the good stuff in the update (somewhat) overshadows this.
I was also angry when I heard cayo perico got a 2+ hour cooldown to do another one. I really want to know who suggested it. As a solo player, I’m very very angry.
T2 has never done anything because people want it. Honestly from every thread I read it seems people want GTAO to be a single player game. R* wants you to get griefed because it drives shark card sales. People dropping to their knees and worshipping the R* gods now should realize 2 things: 1. R* doesn’t do anything unless they see a profit in it later. If they don’t get it, they remove it. 2. They could have added any of this stuff for years. Even though people have been asking for it they chose not to. GTA+ being added to an old game isn’t a mistake. It’s getting people used to something. It has nothing to do with GTA5. The multiple experiments with with RDO transactions had nothing to do with RDO. GTA players are going to get soaked for GTA6. And you all cheered while they did it.

Ye man I'm mostly a solo player n the reason tbh wit u I stopped doing the replay is becuz u do it too many times u might eventually get banned so especially those moc glitches u have a higher chance of getting banned despite them being harmless but the cooldowns n stuff is wut definitely upset me I'd rather it be 5 extra mins for cayo since it's just 15 mins I think whilst 10 less mins for the Casino, doomsday, og heists since they take forever to get setup n too u need a few ppl just to do all of them so it doesnt make any sense at all it only makes them more of a hassle for getting them done
I always thought players in the lobby should be assigned a threat level. They already kind of do this with red dots being more "insane", but I think the op things like the oppressor mk2 can only be used against players with the highest threat level.
For me that I played solo 100% of the time, I never bought Shark cards, had to start from zero for the first time in 2020 and had to play Simeon missions non stop 3-5 days in a row while it was triple money to buy an office and a Buzzard, then do crates over and over and over again to buy a Kosatka with a Sparrow and then do solo Cayo Perico over and over and over and over again to buy everything I had right now (all fully upgraded businesses, all my cars, etc) and now that they include things that are a good incentive to come back and play like a maniac again, whenever I want to buy something is going to be a pain in the ass 'cause now is going to be so much hard for me to get money from a solo Cayo Perico heist... And I think just like you the Professional, doing heists with randoms is the worst thing ever. In fact, the only heist I have done as a host was the Fleeca job 'cause people never joined me and the way I played the rest was by helping other people, but still, most of the people f*ck up the heists by falling over and over, even by the most stupidest things. Races are a pain in the ass because of what you said, wins whoever didn't get crushed at the beginning; or the ones that have the meta car for that kind of race. You can be a really good driver but if you are against someone who has a really good car for that type of race and yours is not as good as that one, even if the other person sucks, you're probably gonna lose. Also, I even join a community about selling products in glitch private lobbies and had to abandon it because later was a pain to the get them working or griefers by pass them I came to destroy the cargo. I seriously hope that just as they doing good things with this update, I hope they learned from the feedback and change back things that shouldn't have changed, modify those they already did to make them better and do the ones they didn't fix.
I honestly think people are disappointed with the cayo nerf because before cayo came out, gta online was a big grind which took many hours to make tons of money and it didn’t help with a lot of things being overpriced so cayo being added solved all this and there is nothing else in the game that is as good as cayo in terms of payout.

Very man tbh they dont even have to buff cayo at all but they shud buff the og contact missions, buff freemode event payouts, buff the armor instead of just added more convenient ways to get armor n no changes to the armor itself, increase the number rounds when u fully upgrade a mk2 weapons since it decreases the amount of ammo the more upgrades u have n give the agency 4x as much since the payouts r trash many times u may get 9k from which is nothing n buff it 10x more to where other players who are not the host when you do the finale would get more than just a weak 50k
For the prision break its $500,000 for the pacific standard heist for all difficultys its Easy difficulty - $500,000. Normal difficulty - $1,000,000. Hard difficulty - $1,250,000.
The fact that snacks dont get used on restarts is OMEGA pog, now we're just missing the ability to buy them from the interaction menù. All around really satisfied with the QoL side of things tho honestly
Cayo nerf is so bad. For anyone going “it’s all anyone did it needed a nerf”… just no. If you don’t like it, then don’t do it. It’s as simple as that. It was a way for those of us who don’t have time to grind out other businesses to make quick money to be able to enjoy the game. It feels like they added all these changes as a way to remove Cayo as a serious money maker without the community losing their minds because this 100% will encourage more shark card purchases.
Due to the new update expanding the other businesses, it makes sense to nerf cayo. Even I as a small solo "grinder" that did it like 2-4 times per day for a week sometimes and took a break, say it does need a nerf. Getting an average of 1,2 million per hour isn't what they intended the game to be; Variety is good, and doing the heist different ways isn't enough. Though I gotta agree three entire ingame days seems awful since that's 2 hours just to do it again.
As a solo grinder, I agree with the first response. It needs a nerf due balance the gta economy, but adding a cooldown that takes 2 and half hours to start again and 3 days to get better primary target is far ridiculous. I was thinking all they needed to do is increase to 1 in-game day cooldown and slightly decreased payouts.

ur still making 1.2 million an hour chill out. Back when we first started playing gta we made about 100k an hour grinding rooftop rumble. 1 year ago we made 1 million every 2 hours through MC businesses (with all equipment and staff upgrades. Ur still gonna be making more than enough money to have any car, business or property in a reasonable amount of time. Cayo perico is still the easiest, most broken money-method rockstar has ever added. If you buy shark cards that is completely your fault, there is so many ways to make tons of money in this game. If you're going broke its because you are buying useless shit and not investing in properties to get your money back.
The Cayo Perico Nerf was a message from Rockstar about not encouraging solo players that have no friends to play with and I did solo cayo perico heists like 48 times now hopefully Rockstar wont do those changes

I think the increase of the secondary target value is probably like a +50% increase just like how the OG heists got theirs which is good and imagine waiting 3 DAYS to get a high value primary target
I think for the best thing to encourage co-operative play and more variation in the cayo heist would be to “Increase the payout for secondary targets to scale to the amount of players in the lobby to ensure fair and even payouts”
Cayo Perico was the ONLY reason I could come back to GTA Online and have FUN as a solo player. And now they do this? Feels like a slap in the face. I finally find an activity I can enjoy and progress the game with which led to me getting new buildings, new cars and millitary toys and even upgrades for said weapons....... and they go ahead and make it harder for me to enjoy the game? I would look forward to playing online for the first time since the Oppressor mk2 was made, I would grind Cayo for one day only getting blown up once or twice but that was expected to get a bit of money, sell my Nightclub cargo (which I love because again, one truck that I could upgrade to be faster and tougher and add guns to. It simply gave me a bigger and slower truck the more I sold, which was fine the upgrades helped.)and then mess around the next day with my new cars and toys. But now I really don't want to play anymore as they make my enjoyment that much harder. Unless.....I buy a shark card.......nope would rather stop playing, was nice while it lasted :(
Personally I'm interested in checking out the Next GTA Online Update. However I don't think I'll ever forgive Rockstar for their Stupid Decisions. I'm so upest and disappointed that I'll never ever buy a Shark Card or GTA+ just to play anything that's locked or too Expensive to Grind for.
I don’t agree with the cayo perico nerf, I’ve recently moved to next gen and none of my friends are on next gen so basically I’m literally doing everything on my own without help, but if R* isn’t going to change it, they could at least make it so that you can get more duffle bag storage.
Also I agree with your points from the solo player perspective on the Cayo nerf but I personally as a solo player is not mad about the nerf, but a little disapointed they state that they will make the cooldown on all the heists the same except Cayo which get 3x the cool down, but if it’s only for the finale I think it will be allright. I can go sell crates and bikers in the meantime or join a heist or something.
I agree with you on scorecards. They clearly incentivize griefers to harass you when you may just want to run your business and do heists. Yes. Nerfing Cayo Perico is a bad idea. I don't have many friends. Besides I enjoy doing the finale solo.
As a solo grinder player i can confirm and agree with everything that you said about cayo perico nerf rockstar should keep cayo perico the same as before not nerfing to a point where people will most likely get upset due to waiting a long a** cooldown plus a 72 hours cooldown to get a good loot.

This sucks. There was a time where I would play with all my friends, but it’s not the case anymore. I was in high school back in the day. Now I’m in University, all my friends left the game and I did as well for a time. I do like to come back to it tho, but no one I know still plays GTA V, so I’m a solo player now and Cayo Perico was the best thing. Now the 3 hours cooldown throws everything down the drain since I only really play for 2h per sessions.
People can say 1-0 without score cards which they will most likely do. But if you kill each other a lot of times lets say 40 times each then nobody will most likely keep track of that. Very good video and it's fun to hear your opinion. I think gta after 5 years of hell is finally going to the right direction. Hope R* keeps it up!

They have been neglecting solo players for so long like filling up 111 crates is like a tough challenge because I’m gonna have 50% chance of getting grief and I don’t want that. I stopped doing Cayo because it was getting repetitive so I did my ceo crates which are a big pain but I own 5 large warehouse and I sold 555 crates on double money. I’ve done that 3-4 times, and because of that I found my own way to make big profit like I know Cayo is the fast money method but ceo crates is the most profitable if you own 5 large warehouses. So nerfing the pay is pretty awful and increasing the normal heist and doomsday heist to 50% isn’t gonna help at all especially with the doomsday heist like honestly it should be doubled and tripled if you’re gonna keep it balance.

I didn't watch the whole video so bare with me, but personally I used the KDR system to gauge what type of people are in the lobby I'm in and so far it's been completely accurate. As someone who grinds missions and usually just plays for fun, taking a quick look at the players in my lobby is usually the first thing I do and see if I dodge the lobby or not. One of the things I look at is the player's KDR, and it's one of three things usually: if someone has a crazy high or impossible KDR, I usually consider them an illegitimate account or a tryhard who cares way too much, I don't do high risk missions with these types of players in the lobby, and I usually dodge the lobby and look for a new one if there's more than one. Having a modest *legitimate* KD usually tells me the player is a legitimate player and they simply can be considered effective in PVP situations. In my experience, players like these are usually people who stick to themselves and are simply just ruthless when provoked and I've rarely seen tryhards in this category (who are usually all pretty bad and are just an inconvenience), I consider myself and my friends to be in this category. Lower KDs can simply be seen as casual/normal players and I usually don't see them as threatening say I see them barreling towards me in an aircraft. Once again, this method of gauging what type of people are in my lobby has worked nearly perfectly for the some hundreds of hours I've been playing; but maybe the removal of it in freemode could be for the better also i have nothing to say about the cayo nerf that everyone else has said a million times lmao it sucks
I``m a level 980 so people tend to go after me just because of my level. open world tends to suck for me so I hope this makes my experience better. and I`m not the best PvP player I`m 65 retired so i`m not near as quick as these younger players, I like taking my time, and helping others. very seldom play in open world and if I do i`m in passive.
The fact that you have a new character on PS5 and you already have a level of like 200? and 50 million dollars shows that you're a true veteran of this game, and you know exactly what to do to make the most money possible. I normally don’t care for GTA 5 content seeing how something the MK 2 came out in 2018 and they only nerfed it now, It just goes to show how much they care about us. If they still go through with this nerf, I will probably permanently leave gta. The cayo perico is the only way I can get money because I'm relatively new, but now that grinding it is gone, there is no reason to play it anymore.
I completely agree with you. Everything else needs higher pay, at least double but definitely triple. Cayo Perico was fine as it was. Rockstar should've made those payout changes years ago. Since they're so far behind they needed to increase the payouts to a higher extreme.
I like how Rockstar said that they wanted players to keep doing what they want to earn money but then increase the cool down on cayo perico and make the good primary targets even rarer than they already are

I'm pretty much indifferent to a majority of the changes besides the increase to payouts, and the stupid value cooldowns of Cayo, but my main concern is if PC's gonna get the cars that were previously exclusive to consoles' E&E update. I just love the cars in the game and seeing how the coolest ones are inaccessible on my current platform is a bummer.

A multi million dollar company still after over a decade can't stop using insecure and outdated peer to peer servers. Why haven't they allowed consoles to transfer their old accounts with their own exclusive content to PC instead of having to start all over especially since there is still a shortage of the new consoles? Some people have years worth of progress and exclusive items on their old accounts. They say account transfers were shutdown cause of all the modded accounts from PS3/XBOX 360, but it was removed awhile ago so what is the problem now?! The hypocrites might as well allow account transfers again since they can't clean the PC servers full of modders/hackers and modded accounts. Same with Red Dead Online since they pulled the plug on it. The nerfs/cooldowns for already worthwhile content is lazy and moronic. No one wants to play worthless dogshit content if they're not worth their time. Easy fix is to buff them massively and give underplayed content dynamic daily/weekly multipliers instead of out of touch event weeks. The phrase better late than never for to describe this update is pathetic. These quality of life changes should've been in the game ASAP. All these problems were really obvious especially being in the game for years like how overpowered Oppressors were, having to pay insurance for weaponized vehicles (btw all insurance was already removed on PC awhile ago because of modders using it to drain money lol) or how bad the older content payouts are and still are even with the measly 50% increase.
It's a shame R* didn't just keep most adversary modes. Stuff like Motor Wars or Trap Door were really fun in the rare times where the lobbies had some people in years gone by. I wish the modes were more popular, they're the most fun in the game.
I love my opressor, keeps me out of the line of fire when theres pvp going on below me. I don't use it for pvp only pve and it really helps alot. I wish they would make it only for missions and not pvp. I was just going to my office and got blown out of the air by another opressor. so we will see what happens.

The scorecards only existing in 1v1 death matches is a good concept but often you end up fighting against more than one person so starting a death match with one guy would give the other people a huge advantage.
Solid review for even I who hasn't been on GTA online on console, pently of valid points made and glad to see Rockstar made some massive improvements. The fact they nerfed grinding a heist that actually has some valid payouts no suprise there. Maybe when Rockstar sees they are going the wrong direction decreasing payouts on heists that players enjoy, they boost payouts on old heists that aren't worth the payout. Me for example i was told even 3 years behind attempting the Doomsday heists, don't bother payouts stink not worth it and I couldn't even find a mere 2 players to join per any mission or heist. Thanks to seeing how long it took for Rockstar to make these improvements, I moved to PC role play lol 😆 I'll be rejoining gta online when the new consoles prices go down or if the new consoles PS6 ! and Xbox 6 release lfmao I pray 🙏 and say I hope Rockstar starts delivering for all you hard working loyal players! I'm mainly glad to be able to sell my stock in a private session. Prior to this update, I always fulfilled smaller orders from my Nightclub in Public Sessions, that way if someone did chase me down with an Oppressor Mk II, it wouldn't be a big loss. But if I sold over a million dollars in stock, then that would be a huge loss and I would have to start all over. Speaking of the Mk II, I never use it to grief people. I mainly use it as revenge if someone decides to blow me up with theirs, or business battles and freemode missions. It saves so much time going from Point A to Point B with the Oppressor.
I'm gonna guess that the MK2 missiles will be less accurate or you won't have the ability to spam them. Overall, I think it's a solid update to the quality of life in the game. Yes, it is annoying that they have longer cooldowns for the Cayo Perico Heist, but I'm guessing it's to encourage players to do other things in the game to make money, especially with the pay buffs to some of the jobs and the ability to sell businesses in private lobbies. Overall, I think griefing will be reduced to damn near zero.

This might be a crazy thought but this is some what the most effort in “game changing mechanics” I’ve seen but this is good, but kinda makes you think why considering they are working on GTA 6, I think they are going to take a little longer in making the game and or testing new mechanics for it.

The reason why they are doing this now is because they milked the game to the point where people started leaving and just gave up, they purposly waited so long to get an update like this so that when it comes it makes people come back to the game and get hyped again, this way they will now have some more time to milk it before GTA6 comes
Exactly agree. If you want to encourage playing with friends/other players, you should make it much more lucrative for those who help you. Just give them VIP work pay for helping you collect crates and way more people will accept someone’s help request. Because indeed when I filled 10 warehouses solo, you get tired from those 3-crate drop missions where you have to go back and forth to and from the warehouse.
This still isnt going to stop the random killing in freemode. What rockstar should have done was if a player *(Tryhard)* kills himself to avoid dsying, his score is reset to zero. THIS will stop them from blowing themselves up or killling themselfs 100%
i think that nerfing cayo perico was a dumb idea. the only reason i can think of is that it's used too often for money making and rockstar wants players to do other things(not defending it btw). i also think that it is more like every now and again two steps forward one step back. they are progressing just slowly.

I have the same feelings hearing it for the first time at first excited then suddenly fell off due to being Rockstar themselves It is like the Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team they made a really good car and driver or driver pair but developer/team strategy is garbage despite being there current car is reliable as the anti-cheat this game and no doubt loging in to speak with them I myself I'm a soloist with also unused business Bikers,Nightclubs and gunrunning this is before the knowledge were gonna have Cayo Perico which personally agree to our inputs (Personally love to try them out but cannot due to PC being not handling well) since I have friends myself that could help me out but I really don't talk about GTA Online because it is before and now update for me I don't recommend to them since the game itself is like F1 focusing on the money than the 100 percent to the fans because they forget themselves the effort and the detail is what made them love in the first place to F1 it is what the driver's, engineering and challenge of the circuits or complete lack of challenging corners is what I love F1

For people that tell me I am ungrateful. I defended the update yesterday and I still think it will be a good one. I think all the businesses need new activities. However the Cayo decision is bad. The solution is not to nerf Cayo but to increase payouts on everything else. I don't hate Rockstar but they aren't my favorite developer anymore. I still enjoy their games but after GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition , GTA Plus and abandoning and ignoring the Red Dead Online community my respect for them has fallen to an all time low. If any Rockstar dev reads this. If you truly believe its about encouraging Coop play just increase the payouts for coop heists but keep the Solo Cayo pay the same and the cooldown. Make it so that different approaches give you different bonuses at times. That will increase the diversity in approaches and encourage more people to play together. I do solo heists mostly because I can't stand people ruining heists and having to constantly restart.

The Cayo Perico nerf is such a slap in the face to solo players. Few of the businesses can be effectively soloed without big losses unless you get really lucky, and none of the other heists are soloable. I too was one of those who would trade things up, I pretty much never do the grate entrance, usually I do the disguise/truck and grab coke on the way up, and base my entrance on where things are.

I'm willing to admit, the Cayo Perico Heist was a bit abusable. But that didn't disregard the fact that it was very useful as a grinding source, and it actually fixed a lot of problems when it came to making income for the general community. If you ask me, I honestly think the cooldown for doing the Heist solo should not have been touched, because there are a lot of solo players out there who don't have a great source of income, and when the best source of income they had is now being nerfed, it really does start problems for them. Luckily, the Contract has a similar payout and can be done completely solo, the only difference being that the setup is longer, but the payout is guaranteed and isn't based on the RNG for which primary/secondary targets you get in the mission unlike the past two Heists.

@@joemama-cv2mu Yeah that is what I was referring to. Redoing all of the leaks and finales gets you a little over a million and most of the time you can do it in less time than it will take for Cayo Perico solo runs to cooldown.
Add up time vs payouts from Cayo and either up the payouts for other heists or get rid of the artificial game lengtheners!

Yea the agency contracts take u at most 4 hrs just to get setup n then the vip contracts pay terrible so it's like ur doing way more work for less pay which is basically gonna make u take all day for just 1M, finale ain't bad but it's bad when your not the host and only getting paid 50k

You just now WON'T be able to increase it with meaningless kills like blowing up randoms in Lobbies, which is NOT PvP at all (it's BULLYING for a meaningless stat). Now players HAVE to EARN KD through *real* PvP like in Deathmatches and other Adversary Mode. That's the change taking place and I'm completely fine with this change.

Even with pre-nerfed Cayo, I personally got really bored of it.
I believe The Contract did well with the Franklin’s Hits, since it’s a good money source. My personal method was to do a hit, then an agency job, then Headhunter or the Phantom Wedge one, then a hit, then a nightclub popularity. Combining every passive income: Agency (I’m around 15k per day), Nightclub (50k per day) and Arcade (around 4k per day), and the hit, vip-work, sec. Contract and keeping the Nightclub popularity high, I’d make around a million every two hours.
I’m not happy about the Cayo nerf, but even without it, I wouldn’t play it much.
Reason why so many people got bored of it because everyone did the tunnel approach for easy access, no variety and if it wasnt diamond or bonds they even restarted the whole heist.
Honestly, getting Alkonost is pain but holy hell its the best thing in whole game when you jump from it on that island Splinter Cell style.
Same. I kinda disagree with professional's opinion. I think that Cayo Perico is too boring now. This might just encourage people to play more of the other stuff. On the other hand, people might protest and stop playing entirely. We'll see if Rockstar made a good decision or not.
15k GTA in game money earned every 48 minutes is not great. Not trying to troll but is possible to make way more than that, even with few people.
@@romanyoutube3141 Since the content itself is static and doesn't change is why any activity can get boring. The solution has been flood the game with new content, but each time is still static. The Professional's idea to award players more money and/or RP for doing the activity a certain way to mix it up a bit without penalizing anyone is a good first step to make activities more dynamic and less static. We know this is possible in this nearly 9- year old game due to the mechanics of the Pay Phone jobs after having The Agency.
@@ExtremeMan10 the cayo nerf sucks because it's lazy, just slap a cooldown on it so players don't farm it. They should've added better payouts based on the approach you choose, and make it so the payout cycle between approaches so if you do the same one you'll get a lot one time and very little another.
As a solo grinder this feels so uncalled for. They didnt even add hire able AI npcs to tag along for older hiests to compensate for the loss of solo hiest.
We didn't lose a heist. We got a cooldown. While you wait try out the businesses they are also solo friendly

All these random kills from outta nowhere just to increase your goddamn KDR in both freemode and in PVP? For what? Come on. TBH I don't think griefers and a K/D ratio always go hand in hand, some players are just arseholes who want to just destroy the fun you are having. I have been harassed while getting Cayo Heist preps done, they don't even take the equipment, they just want to stop you.

I’m excited for everything in this dlc except for the cayo Perico heist nerf and how they are going about nerfing the Mk2. All they needed to do was remove lock on to players and keep lock on to npcs that would have been a better change. I would still be able to grind with the Mk2 while eliminating the griefing problem with it. With Cayo being able to do solo helped those that couldn’t play for long make a quick mil or 2 in a short amount of time.

Absolutely! I had fun grinding this solo, and with a quick amount of time to play Hard Mode and grind again. Also, switching the highest value to reduce down to lesser value treasures but raising secondary targets for the next 72 hours is just stupid!

The nerf on Cayo Perico makes me wonder why they did this. I mean I know why, they want to make more sales. However I feel like this has everything to do with GTA plus. Knowing Rockstar they will put some BS statistics that makes things go by faster. Random example but Clash of clans gold pass allows you to upgrade stuff 20% faster. I think the GTA + is gonna include some p2w stuff like that soon. the can increase payouts or decrease wait times for various things I wouldn't put it pass them. I mean they already showed their true colors with GTA+ already with Diamonds being available 100% only for GTA + members.

The announcement of Cayo Perico nerf discourages me even more from cooperating and inviting other players to heists. My way of protesting is going against the purpose of this nerf, that is to COOPERATE in the game.
its frustrating because even though the payouts increased, you still have to work with braindead retards in doing the OG heists. Cayo on the other hand, you only have to worry about yourself. The cayo nerf was so unnecessary.
Cayo Perico is the only heist you can do solo and that's why people do it frequently, as opposed to the others where one person will do something stupid and ruin it for everyone else
when i played gta online on xbox one, the one thing that kept me from playing cayo perico solo was the glitch where it kicks your teammates. This nerf makes it even more not worth doing cayo perico solo or co op.

I think new achievements should be added to the game to give players more of an incentive to complete newer content in the game. No new achievements have been added since the Doomsday heist.

I think rockstar should encourage people to use deathmatches or they could make newer competitive modes outside of freemode so if someone wants to fight they can just join one and the grinders don't have to get griefed

Agreed. I personally enjoy and want to enjoy a lot of other things rather than constantly grinding the perico heist for money. I still do think it’s a heavy nerf, but it’s not really affecting me as much since I only do it once a day or every few days with my bro. What’s sad tho, is I wished to see other activities/heists can sort of match the money making efficiency of perico so it wouldn’t be so unbalanced, but we’ll have to find out if the new payout changes are good

What I'd love to see is after you take a certain entry path in Cayo, like the drainage tunnel, Rubio will block it off in response for your next heist, same with the exit route, giving it more security the next time around. It lets people experience all paths and options and makes it less repetitive.

I’m really glad to hear we can sell our businesses safely and I’m glad the K.D is going away. There is nothing more annoying than trying to just drive around the map peacefully and getting blown up, I shouldn’t have to live in passive mode. However the nerfing of Cayo Perico makes me so mad, I have one friend I play gta v with, and even that is very seldom. Most of the time I’m by myself and Cayo was such a great opportunity for solo players like me. Now they go and do this, they say it’s to increase player activity or interaction or whatever but it’s really because they think we’ll buy more shark cards which I won’t just like I won’t be interacting with other players. All I’m going to do is find another game to play. I really don’t understand why rockstar has to do this they do so much good then ruin it with something stupid like this, like you said professional, one step forward, one step back.
When Cayo Perico came out their intentions came out as "accommodating solo players" since now had a way to be competitive with groups of players. To nerf Cayo Perico by citing to make more collaborative gameplay and exploration tells me we are making too much money in Cayo Perico and TakeTwo and Rockstar aren't happy about it as we become not dependent on Shark Cards and GTA+

It would be nice if they implemented some of the great features in RDO into GTA Online like player blips only visible in your vicinity and defensive mode over passive mode so it's harder for people to mess with you but you can still have access to weapons. I've wanted these features ever since RDO implemented them and it always just seemed like such a no-brainer.

I never could get into online because I didn’t want to pay and it was too grindy. The thought has crossed my mind about trying to get back into the game and using the Cayo Perico heist to do it. I’m a level like 156 so not super high but I have most of the stuff you need for jobs. This officially killed any notion of trying to get back into it. Rockstar you had one decent way to make money and it was still a grind and you decided, “nope not grindy enough. Not enough shark cards being bought.” It had 0 to do with feedback and everything to do with them being a scummy company now
You worded this properly. Not everyone has the patience to run businesses. With the previous state of business troubles and grieving, Cayo was the best grind for me besides the Dre Contract Finale. And that's because Cayo PAID for Contract.

I’ve always been more into single player story’s though. The best is when you can play campaign with your friends. Being 38 I don’t have a lot of friends to play games with and I grew up an only child so the story is what not only I grew up on but what I want. Rockstar used to be amazing on that front. Now corporate greed has ruined it at least for me and I know I’m not alone.

Experimenting with the stock market and how much I can make in them as well as playing older games like GTA 4 and the Devil May Cry series. Even thinking about checking out some discounted games.

I was playing to play with friends and crew just for the laughs and destress, but I felt like I was missing out on other games too. I think companies are forgetting what makes us play video games, as well as buy them. I don't want to put hundreds more hours into getting a few items, and I don't want to overpay for content that should be free/inexpensive. As a kid I thought shark cards were okay. I was really, really dumb, because most of the stuff in Hests 1 was accessible. (Should have said that in my first comment, sorry about that!) It was pricy but you could grind with some friends and buy some reasonable cars to race with. People still played alot of content to take breaks from heists.
Then they made modes and made it 2x just so people would play it, and or buy shark cards after to buy the extra goodies that were inflated.
Long story short, it stuff in Story Mode is more affordable- considering you can still steal most stuff in Story mode too. GTA 6 took so long that now it's just a "meh" as opposed to "oh snap it's coming out". Any game recommendations while Rockstar hopefully gets their act together? Looking to add stuff to the library .

I like variety in what I do in GTA Online, like my bunker/biker/nightclub missions, races, and other activities. Besides, all the good stuff in the update (somewhat) overshadows this.

I was also angry when I heard cayo perico got a 2+ hour cooldown to do another one. I really want to know who suggested it. As a solo player, I’m very very angry.

T2 has never done anything because people want it. Honestly from every thread I read it seems people want GTAO to be a single player game. R* wants you to get griefed because it drives shark card sales.
People dropping to their knees and worshipping the R* gods now should realize 2 things:
1. R* doesn’t do anything unless they see a profit in it later. If they don’t get it, they remove it.
2. They could have added any of this stuff for years. Even though people have been asking for it they chose not to.
GTA+ being added to an old game isn’t a mistake. It’s getting people used to something. It has nothing to do with GTA5. The multiple experiments with with RDO transactions had nothing to do with RDO. GTA players are going to get soaked for GTA6. And you all cheered while they did it.

Ye man I'm mostly a solo player n the reason tbh wit u I stopped doing the replay is becuz u do it too many times u might eventually get banned so especially those moc glitches u have a higher chance of getting banned despite them being harmless but the cooldowns n stuff is wut definitely upset me I'd rather it be 5 extra mins for cayo since it's just 15 mins I think whilst 10 less mins for the Casino, doomsday, og heists since they take forever to get setup n too u need a few ppl just to do all of them so it doesnt make any sense at all it only makes them more of a hassle for getting them done

I always thought players in the lobby should be assigned a threat level. They already kind of do this with red dots being more "insane", but I think the op things like the oppressor mk2 can only be used against players with the highest threat level.
We need a second stat similar to mental state like how much someones been reported for griefing or glitching like godmode that would be useful.

For me that I played solo 100% of the time, I never bought Shark cards, had to start from zero for the first time in 2020 and had to play Simeon missions non stop 3-5 days in a row while it was triple money to buy an office and a Buzzard, then do crates over and over and over again to buy a Kosatka with a Sparrow and then do solo Cayo Perico over and over and over and over again to buy everything I had right now (all fully upgraded businesses, all my cars, etc) and now that they include things that are a good incentive to come back and play like a maniac again, whenever I want to buy something is going to be a pain in the ass 'cause now is going to be so much hard for me to get money from a solo Cayo Perico heist...
And I think just like you the Professional, doing heists with randoms is the worst thing ever. In fact, the only heist I have done as a host was the Fleeca job 'cause people never joined me and the way I played the rest was by helping other people, but still, most of the people f*ck up the heists by falling over and over, even by the most stupidest things.
Races are a pain in the ass because of what you said, wins whoever didn't get crushed at the beginning; or the ones that have the meta car for that kind of race. You can be a really good driver but if you are against someone who has a really good car for that type of race and yours is not as good as that one, even if the other person sucks, you're probably gonna lose.
Also, I even join a community about selling products in glitch private lobbies and had to abandon it because later was a pain to the get them working or griefers by pass them I came to destroy the cargo.
I seriously hope that just as they doing good things with this update, I hope they learned from the feedback and change back things that shouldn't have changed, modify those they already did to make them better and do the ones they didn't fix.

I honestly think people are disappointed with the cayo nerf because before cayo came out, gta online was a big grind which took many hours to make tons of money and it didn’t help with a lot of things being overpriced so cayo being added solved all this and there is nothing else in the game that is as good as cayo in terms of payout.

Very man tbh they dont even have to buff cayo at all but they shud buff the og contact missions, buff freemode event payouts, buff the armor instead of just added more convenient ways to get armor n no changes to the armor itself, increase the number rounds when u fully upgrade a mk2 weapons since it decreases the amount of ammo the more upgrades u have n give the agency 4x as much since the payouts r trash many times u may get 9k from which is nothing n buff it 10x more to where other players who are not the host when you do the finale would get more than just a weak 50k
For the prision break its $500,000 for the pacific standard heist for all difficultys its Easy difficulty - $500,000. Normal difficulty - $1,000,000. Hard difficulty - $1,250,000.
For prison break it’s $500,000 for hard $400,000 for normal and I’m assuming $300,000 on easy. I don’t know about easy for sure I don’t do that

Cayo nerf is so bad. For anyone going “it’s all anyone did it needed a nerf”… just no. If you don’t like it, then don’t do it. It’s as simple as that. It was a way for those of us who don’t have time to grind out other businesses to make quick money to be able to enjoy the game. It feels like they added all these changes as a way to remove Cayo as a serious money maker without the community losing their minds because this 100% will encourage more shark card purchases.
Due to the new update expanding the other businesses, it makes sense to nerf cayo. Even I as a small solo "grinder" that did it like 2-4 times per day for a week sometimes and took a break, say it does need a nerf. Getting an average of 1,2 million per hour isn't what they intended the game to be; Variety is good, and doing the heist different ways isn't enough.
Though I gotta agree three entire ingame days seems awful since that's 2 hours just to do it again.

It needs a nerf due balance the gta economy, but adding a cooldown that takes 2 and half hours to start again and 3 days to get better primary target is far ridiculous. I was thinking all they needed to do is increase to 1 in-game day cooldown and slightly decreased payouts.

ur still making 1.2 million an hour chill out. Back when we first started playing gta we made about 100k an hour grinding rooftop rumble. 1 year ago we made 1 million every 2 hours through MC businesses (with all equipment and staff upgrades. Ur still gonna be making more than enough money to have any car, business or property in a reasonable amount of time. Cayo perico is still the easiest, most broken money-method rockstar has ever added. If you buy shark cards that is completely your fault, there is so many ways to make tons of money in this game. If you're going broke its because you are buying useless shit and not investing in properties to get your money back.
The Cayo Perico Nerf was a message from Rockstar about not encouraging solo players that have no friends to play with

I think the increase of the secondary target value is probably like a +50% increase just like how the OG heists got theirs which is good and imagine waiting 3 DAYS to get a high value primary target
I think for the best thing to encourage co-operative play and more variation in the cayo heist would be to “Increase the payout for secondary targets to scale to the amount of players in the lobby to ensure fair and even payouts”
Cayo Perico was the ONLY reason I could come back to GTA Online and have FUN as a solo player.
And now they do this? Feels like a slap in the face. I finally find an activity I can enjoy and progress the game with which led to me getting new buildings, new cars and millitary toys and even upgrades for said weapons....... and they go ahead and make it harder for me to enjoy the game? I would look forward to playing online for the first time since the Oppressor mk2 was made, I would grind Cayo for one day only getting blown up once or twice but that was expected to get a bit of money, sell my Nightclub cargo (which I love because again, one truck that I could upgrade to be faster and tougher and add guns to. It simply gave me a bigger and slower truck the more I sold, which was fine the upgrades helped.)and then mess around the next day with my new cars and toys. But now I really don't want to play anymore as they make my enjoyment that much harder. Unless.....I buy a shark card.......nope would rather stop playing, was nice while it lasted :(
So many nice additions with this update, but I agree that the Cayo changes are just unnecessary. So many w's but they had to drop an L in there too.
Personally I'm interested in checking out the Next GTA Online Update. However I don't think I'll ever forgive Rockstar for their Stupid Decisions. I'm so upest and disappointed that I'll never ever buy a Shark Card or GTA+ just to play anything that's locked or too Expensive to Grind for.

I don’t agree with the cayo perico nerf, I’ve recently moved to next gen and none of my friends are on next gen so basically I’m literally doing everything on my own without help, but if R* isn’t going to change it, they could at least make it so that you can get more duffle bag storage.
Also I agree with your points from the solo player perspective on the Cayo nerf but I personally as a solo player is not mad about the nerf, but a little disapointed they state that they will make the cooldown on all the heists the same except Cayo which get 3x the cool down, but if it’s only for the finale I think it will be allright. I can go sell crates and bikers in the meantime or join a heist or something.

This sucks. There was a time where I would play with all my friends, but it’s not the case anymore. I was in high school back in the day. Now I’m in University, all my friends left the game and I did as well for a time. I do like to come back to it tho, but no one I know still plays GTA V, so I’m a solo player now and Cayo Perico was the best thing. Now the 3 hours cooldown throws everything down the drain since I only really play for 2h per sessions.
People can say 1-0 without score cards which they will most likely do. But if you kill each other a lot of times lets say 40 times each then nobody will most likely keep track of that. Very good video and it's fun to hear your opinion. I think gta after 5 years of hell is finally going to the right direction. Hope R* keeps it up!

They have been neglecting solo players for so long like filling up 111 crates is like a tough challenge because I’m gonna have 50% chance of getting grief and I don’t want that. I stopped doing Cayo because it was getting repetitive so I did my ceo crates which are a big pain but I own 5 large warehouse and I sold 555 crates on double money. I’ve done that 3-4 times, and because of that I found my own way to make big profit like I know Cayo is the fast money method but ceo crates is the most profitable if you own 5 large warehouses. So nerfing the pay is pretty awful and increasing the normal heist and doomsday heist to 50% isn’t gonna help at all especially with the doomsday heist like honestly it should be doubled and tripled if you’re gonna keep it balance.

I didn't watch the whole video so bare with me, but personally I used the KDR system to gauge what type of people are in the lobby I'm in and so far it's been completely accurate. As someone who grinds missions and usually just plays for fun, taking a quick look at the players in my lobby is usually the first thing I do and see if I dodge the lobby or not. One of the things I look at is the player's KDR, and it's one of three things usually: if someone has a crazy high or impossible KDR, I usually consider them an illegitimate account or a tryhard who cares way too much, I don't do high risk missions with these types of players in the lobby, and I usually dodge the lobby and look for a new one if there's more than one. Having a modest *legitimate* KD usually tells me the player is a legitimate player and they simply can be considered effective in PVP situations. In my experience, players like these are usually people who stick to themselves and are simply just ruthless when provoked and I've rarely seen tryhards in this category (who are usually all pretty bad and are just an inconvenience), I consider myself and my friends to be in this category. Lower KDs can simply be seen as casual/normal players and I usually don't see them as threatening say I see them barreling towards me in an aircraft. Once again, this method of gauging what type of people are in my lobby has worked nearly perfectly for the some hundreds of hours I've been playing; but maybe the removal of it in freemode could be for the better

I``m a level 980 so people tend to go after me just because of my level. open world tends to suck for me so I hope this makes my experience better. and I`m not the best PvP player I`m 65 retired so i`m not near as quick as these younger players, I like taking my time, and helping others. very seldom play in open world and if I do i`m in passive.

The fact that you have a new character on PS5 and you already have a level of like 200? and 50 million dollars shows that you're a true veteran of this game, and you know exactly what to do to make the most money possible. In my opinion you are the only GTA UA-camr who pays attention to every single detail the game has to offer, and whenever I watch people talk about updates, I always listen to your point of view as well, beacause it's important to listen to someone who has over 9k hours in the game. I normally don’t care for GTA 5 content seeing how something the MK 2 came out in 2018 and they only nerfed it now, It just goes to show how much they care about us. If they still go through with this nerf, I will probably permanently leave gta. The cayo perico is the only way I can get money because I'm relatively new, but now that grinding it is gone, there is no reason to play it anymore.
I completely agree with you. Everything else needs higher pay, at least double but definitely triple. Cayo Perico was fine as it was. Rockstar should've made those payout changes years ago. Since they're so far behind they needed to increase the payouts to a higher extreme.
The cool-down is fair and guards seeing dead bodies makes it more realistic imo
I like how Rockstar said that they wanted players to keep doing what they want to earn money but then increase the cool down on cayo perico and make the good primary targets even rarer than they already are
Secondary loot value is increasing though. Be interesting to see if for once we can steal all of the potential take.

I'm pretty much indifferent to a majority of the changes besides the increase to payouts, and the stupid value cooldowns of Cayo, but my main concern is if PC's gonna get the cars that were previously exclusive to consoles' E&E update. I just love the cars in the game and seeing how the coolest ones are inaccessible on my current platform is a bummer.

A multi million dollar company still after over a decade can't stop using insecure and outdated peer to peer servers. Why haven't they allowed consoles to transfer their old accounts with their own exclusive content to PC instead of having to start all over especially since there is still a shortage of the new consoles? Some people have years worth of progress and exclusive items on their old accounts. They say account transfers were shutdown cause of all the modded accounts from PS3/XBOX 360, but it was removed awhile ago so what is the problem now?! The hypocrites might as well allow account transfers again since they can't clean the PC servers full of modders/hackers and modded accounts. Same with Red Dead Online since they pulled the plug on it.
The nerfs/cooldowns for already worthwhile content is lazy and moronic. No one wants to play worthless dogshit content if they're not worth their time. Easy fix is to buff them massively and give underplayed content dynamic daily/weekly multipliers instead of out of touch event weeks. The phrase better late than never for to describe this update is pathetic. These quality of life changes should've been in the game ASAP. All these problems were really obvious especially being in the game for years like how overpowered Oppressors were, having to pay insurance for weaponized vehicles (btw all insurance was already removed on PC awhile ago because of modders using it to drain money lol) or how bad the older content payouts are and still are even with the measly 50% increase.
It's a shame R* didn't just keep most adversary modes. Stuff like Motor Wars or Trap Door were really fun in the rare times where the lobbies had some people in years gone by. I wish the modes were more popular, they're the most fun in the game.
I love my opressor, keeps me out of the line of fire when theres pvp going on below me. I don't use it for pvp only pve and it really helps alot. I wish they would make it only for missions and not pvp. I was just going to my office and got blown out of the air by another opressor. so we will see what happens.

The scorecards only existing in 1v1 death matches is a good concept but often you end up fighting against more than one person so starting a death match with one guy would give the other people a huge advantage.
Solid review for even I who hasn't been on GTA online on console, pently of valid points made and glad to see Rockstar made some massive improvements. The fact they nerfed grinding a heist that actually has some valid payouts no suprise there. Maybe when Rockstar sees they are going the wrong direction decreasing payouts on heists that players enjoy, they boost payouts on old heists that aren't worth the payout. Me for example i was told even 3 years behind attempting the Doomsday heists, don't bother payouts stink not worth it and I couldn't even find a mere 2 players to join per any mission or heist. Thanks to seeing how long it took for Rockstar to make these improvements, I moved to PC role play lol 😆 I'll be rejoining gta online when the new consoles prices go down or if the new consoles PS6 ! and Xbox 6 release lfmao I pray 🙏 and say I hope Rockstar starts delivering for all you hard working loyal players! Hi from Mexico, I never comment but.... I have been playing GTA V online for 5 years now, I followed your guides in how to successfully become a rich criminal in this game, which I am now. Im a 669 level with 180 millions in the bank, all biz, all properties, all vehicles, etc. So I just want to say I agree with your logic, usually It's better intended than rockstar's movements in the game. I understand your frustration, I feel same way. Just wanted to support this particular video, you know, liking, commenting. Rockstar should listen better to their clients wishes. I'm mainly glad to be able to sell my stock in a private session. Prior to this update, I always fulfilled smaller orders from my Nightclub in Public Sessions, that way if someone did chase me down with an Oppressor Mk II, it wouldn't be a big loss. But if I sold over a million dollars in stock, then that would be a huge loss and I would have to start all over.
Speaking of the Mk II, I never use it to grief people. I mainly use it as revenge if someone decides to blow me up with theirs, or business battles and freemode missions. It saves so much time going from Point A to Point B with the Oppressor.
I'm gonna guess that the MK2 missiles will be less accurate or you won't have the ability to spam them. Overall, I think it's a solid update to the quality of life in the game. Yes, it is annoying that they have longer cooldowns for the Cayo Perico Heist, but I'm guessing it's to encourage players to do other things in the game to make money, especially with the pay buffs to some of the jobs and the ability to sell businesses in private lobbies. Overall, I think griefing will be reduced to damn near zero.

This might be a crazy thought but this is some what the most effort in “game changing mechanics” I’ve seen but this is good, but kinda makes you think why considering they are working on GTA 6, I think they are going to take a little longer in making the game and or testing new mechanics for it.

The reason why they are doing this now is because they milked the game to the point where people started leaving and just gave up, they purposly waited so long to get an update like this so that when it comes it makes people come back to the game and get hyped again, this way they will now have some more time to milk it before GTA6 comes

Exactly agree. If you want to encourage playing with friends/other players, you should make it much more lucrative for those who help you. Just give them VIP work pay for helping you collect crates and way more people will accept someone’s help request. Because indeed when I filled 10 warehouses solo, you get tired from those 3-crate drop missions where you have to go back and forth to and from the warehouse.
This still isnt going to stop the random killing in freemode. What rockstar should have done was if a player *(Tryhard)* kills himself to avoid dsying, his score is reset to zero. THIS will stop them from blowing themselves up or killling themselfs 100%

I have the same feelings hearing it for the first time at first excited then suddenly fell off due to being Rockstar themselves It is like the Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team they made a really good car and driver or driver pair but developer/team strategy is garbage despite being there current car is reliable as the anti-cheat this game
