Over the last 3 years I've had 2 fail, my last one left me on the side on the hwy. yesterday, I am now going to plumb in 2 pumps on separate switches, because there is no warning when one is going to quit. My advice to anyone is if you're going to use one make sure you have a back up plan.
What has your long term reliability been like now? How many miles on the vehicle with the pump? Mine seems to be dropping pressure now with 800 miles on it. It occasionally “runs out of gas” but will immediately restart. I did mount it under the hood, just for ease maintenance but I may move it back by the tank.
Vane style pumps cannot sit for long periods unless fuel Is drained. Evaporated fuel leaves sticky residue that hold vanes in place. I prefer Mallory pumps for my Webers.

Do rotary vane pumps pull fuel?

is it specifically designed for classic German cars because of the rotor design?
Someone beat you to that joke two years ago, wasn’t very funny then either.
Wonder if anyone else noticed the swastika design of the rotor, not good
u know its not done on purpose right? lol
Right, let's just completely redevelop the pump to make you feel better 😑
