    Peta, I have to tell you this. I don't snore so I didn't do this exercise before sleeping. But I realised that I am a mouth breather and that is why I used to wake up with a sagging jawline and nasolabial lines. I have started doing 50 of these before sleeping since the last few days and my face looks so much better!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

    Hi Peta! I have to say, before I began your exercises I had serious TMJ. I had botox injections to help but they did not help. Since I have been doing your exercises I do not have TMJ at all anymore! As far as snoring, I sleep alone so I have no idea but I bet I do not! Thank you again for sharing all that you have learned!

    Thanks so much for this, Peta! I don't snore, but I've always been a mouth breather because I could never get enough air through my nose. Surprisingly, the nose exercises seem to clear my nasal passages so I can breathe through my nose, Lol, but it's still a habit to breathe through my mouth. I've been doing this exercise for four days and noticed that I'm breathing through my nose without even trying! Who knew facial exercise could help a problem I've had for years?!

    I've trained my hubby to not snore by wiggling the bed or shushing loudly because I read for hours while he sleeps. His weight loss has helped him to not snore as much too. Also, if he sleeps on his back he actually stops breathing so sleep on your side too.

    PETA, I trained myself to sleep on my back a couple of years ago and my DH tells me that I snore all night long. I must sleep on my back as I get terrible vertigo when I sleep on my side. I’ve been doing the exercise from this video without any changes in my snoring. I believe the snoring is contributing to my dry mouth upon awakening and also accelerated drooping of the skin around my mouth and jaw. I watched one of your videos in which you talked about wearing a chin strap to keep your mouth closed while you sleep but I haven’t been able to find it again. Can you please tell me which chin strap you purchased for yourself and/or which one you would recommend? Thank you. I appreciate your advice,

      Hi Two Moons, no as I have said in many videos and comments across the channel, the EAWM Series are not to be changed. The reason why is that I have constructed the exercises so that people do not over exercise their faces, and by changing one exercise, you could be doing that in the next routine. Just stick to what I have created :-)

    Hi Peta,
    Should my teeth press tightly together when doing this? Also, should I be hearing a sound in my ears each time I contract my muscles? The sound I'm hearing is almost like when I am trying to pop my ears when I'm at high altitudes....
    Thanks!

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  8 років тому +1

      Hi Jamie, yes you will hear that sound, possibly however you are pushing too hard to be hearing it. Do not press your teeth together at all, just press your tongue to the top of the roof of your mouth as you are contracting the muscles. The teeth do not come into it at all.

    Thank you very much for sharing this.. i am suffering from snoring so much that i want to get rid of it as soon as possible.. I have one question.. how much days it would take for this to effect? I have been doing this for few days but nothing has changed yet.. Or am I doing it wrongly?

    Nice exercise, thanks. But keep in mind that snoring isn't just caused by the jaw muscles. It can also be caused by weak throat, tongue and soft palate muscles, as well as constricted nasal passages.

    • @sherryzink5698
      @sherryzink5698 5 років тому

      Exactly. I snore and have had a couple of devices to hold the mouth closed at night. Nothing helped. I'm working on this strengthening the palate and tongue. We'll see how it goes. I'm also trying a tip used by singers and making specific sounds to accomplish that too, so if you hear me pass you saying "GA GA GA" - join me. lol

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  5 років тому

      if you exercise the tongue muscle it will strengthen it, and make it sit in its proper place, which is at the roof of the mouth and then will prevent you from snoring.

    Hi Peta, can this one be added to any full face routines a person does or does it replace some exercises depending on which face routines you do for certain muscles. Also wondering if it will help my area under my chin that hangs down? The left side still hangs lower than the right side.

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  8 років тому

      Hi Mary yep this is a really good exercise. it can be done thru the day, but just possibly a few repetitions, dont over do it. Yes, of course, it is great for toning up that area. xxx

    Hi Peta. I'm just about to start the series 2 EAWM so I'm going through the 'how to' videos. I'm trying to perfect this exercise but when I press in the 'i' button for the notes, an error message comes up, Maybe because I am in the UK not Australia?!Anyway, I'm a little confused as to how to move my tongue - do I curve it backwards so the under side of my tongue is on the roof of my mouth, or curl it forwards so the middle/tip of the top side of my tongue is pressing against the roof of my mouth? Apologies in advance for being a bit dense! Thanks Peta ☺

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  7 років тому +2

      I have changed my website, so the notes are not available now. When I open the premium facerobics Gym they will all be available in there. Well the ones to the EAWM Series will be. With your tongue, press it to the top of your mouth. You dont have to move it, just press firmly to the roof of your mouth. Its ok to ask, you need to do it properly. Hope that is clearer.

    Peta, as the tongue makes contact with the roof of the mouth, should the whole thing, tip and all be behind the ridge behind the upper teeth? And is the tongue pressure more toward the back of the tongue or mid? or tip?

    Hello Peta... I am now in Series 2. I dont know what do do... I can now finally see changes in my face, but I also have got som cracking in my jaws when I chew! I can feel that I am strained in my jaws. I have always before been relaxed in my jaws. I´m afraid to continue, especially theese excersices when the jaws are involved. Shall I take a time out and see if it disappears? Can I do all the other excersises anyway? Is there alternative-excersises so I do not strains the jaws? This makes me sad, because I like the positive changes in my face. Please guide me what to do... Thank you Peta in advance :)

    • @facerobics
      @facerobics  7 років тому +1

      sometimes this happens monika, it happened to me. it depends on how much cracking. I had more crunching. But, what i did was back off how hard i was pushing in the exercise. So, you need to determine if it is being more of a problem or just adjusting. If it becomes a problem you wont be able to do the exercises as you need to be doing a full face routine and possibly will need to find a more gentler system.

    Dear Peta, I just started doing the series 2 level 1 with you and the last exercise isn't the stop snoring that I have been practicing on the playlist. I'm confused; it is a jaw exercise.
    Is it an older exercise with you? Thank you! Maureen

      Hi Maureen, the snoring exercise covers the jaw and the neck and also stops you from snoring. It is one of the best exercises in the programme :-)

    Hello Peta.....I am working on learning the exercises for the 2nd series. I finished the series one exercises for the recommended amount of time. Actually, this is my 2nd time going through the series of 3.
    Here is my question:
    I have no problems with snoring, but my biggest complaint is my neck. Should I do the snoring exercise anyway for 6 weeks....? or should i replace it with a neck and chin exercise that you don't have in series 1 or 3?
    My neck still needs a lot of work, after over a year of doing the exercises. My neck is maybe slightly better, and my face in general is slightly better....at least not getting worse. It's a bit frustrating after so much time, but i am 66, so maybe it will just take a long long time. I'm not giving up yet ! Please answer my question about the neck exercise in series 2. Thank you for all your great videos and all the help you give all of us, with such sincerity and kindness. Barbara

      Hi Gary, glad to hear you are working away with diligence on your exercises. The snoring exercise is the ONLY exception I make to the Exercise Along With Me Series. You can do this exercise 20-50 times each night after you finish your routines to help you stop snoring. Do not change any of the routines. As you would know this is displayed as a big note in the beginning of all of the routines. Do not change the routines, otherwise, you will cause over exercising and more skin sagging. Just do the snoring exercise each night after the routines if you snore.
