Great video, Boeller. I like the way you got the cam in where we could see what you were working on, you don't have any filler, don't stumble with your words, and say UMMM a lot...good job with the edit. Thanks! Looking forward to deleting my CRD that I just bought.
By the way, this engine loves B100 biodiesel. But, the B100 has to be properly refined having the Glycerine food chain molecules remved and any micro food particles. These 2 items with Gum up the Valves quickly and lead to full engine rebuild. The filters don't mind properly refined B100. The engine runs super clean and 80% smoother. It really loves it. And so did i. Best of Luck.
That's why I'm here...people gloss over details...where everyone has difficulty. Tryna do glow plugs and gotta take off that stupid Exhaust Garbage Recycler. I needed to see how much stuff I really gotta take off cuz its a decent amount of parts and bolts. Most definitely doing delete as I am in this ªTm
Make sure you change ALL Valve Rockers every 75k with Timing Belt change. I didn't because, told by my Mechanic " It's a Diesel should be good until 300k at least. Well, my Needle Bearing Wrist pins in ALL Rockers wore down by 1/3 and allowed the pins in the bearings to slip out into the Block. My new Mechanic only retrieved 34 pins. The rest are in there somewhere. 2006 still going but waiting to see when those loose pins turn back up. Yes, motor was totally removed and disassembled first. If you ❤ the Jeep be thorough.
Check out get it garage on UA-cam. Link below. He does a how to video on removing the EGR from the computer. Removing the EGR cooler does not affect the engine temperature. The purpose of the EGR cooler is to cool the exhaust before it dumps it back into the engines intake. ua-cam.com/video/sngGdf4NM6E/v-deo.html
Did you use a MPPS? If so which one? I couldn’t find the video from get it garage on the tune. Did a delete and can’t find a tune. Bought the MPPS 13.2 but my computer is to new for this model
Hi, I have a 2.8l crd just like yours. Eliminating the Throttle Body does not affect the efficiency of the engine? loose plugs affect, I just want to know how to do the same. thank you
Hey Boeller i have a 2005 crd im looking for the Air cleaner cover, but i cant fount it anywhere , now what i can do ? becase mine is a llitle bit craked now ): and idk what to do.
preventative maintenance. the Exhaust Gas Recirculation system takes the exhaust gas along with oil and soot and dumps it in to the clean air intake. all the tar like staff in the video is from the EGR system. now all my exhaust goes out the exhaust pipe.
I think once it gets clogged up, the ETC light/system freaks out, and eventually it might shut the car off. I think that's what's happening to mine....
Hey, I have an issue when I turn on the Jeep CRD and after 5 secs it turns off, and to turn it back on, I need to hold the key for 10 secs and then it turns on and runs normally. I have replaced the computer of the car and the issue persists, do you think that the EGR could be causing that issue? any suggestions will be much appreciated.
Check the last jeeps forum. Get it garage did a video on it as well on UA-cam. Basically, I downloaded a stock tune with an EGR delete. When the computer notices the EGR is not plugged in, it will throw a code. This tune will tell the computer to stop looking for the EGR.

Thanks! might be a good time to move the alternator out of the way and do glow plugs while you are there.

How did you get the check engine light to go off. Did it cause your engine to run hotter.

its not the throttle body. its the EGR valve. when open it dumps exhaust into the intake. well exhaust and oil sludge.
