On the highland can you use the right scroll wheel to control CarPlay (select items and move the cursor) and also use it for autopilot?

The display looks a little more "blue-ish" campared to the OEM display in the middle ?? Do you know if its possible now to change car model ?? (model y and 3 )
Teslasy is still working on adding Model Y & 3 to the car graphic.
It should be available on the next OTA update.

I didn't take premiun connectivity because I share the data with my iPhone. The problem is that when I activate CarPlay on my phone, I lose the connection and my Model 3 no longer has internet: very frustrating, I no longer use CarPlay, I use the screen only for speed :(

CarPlay does stop WiFi connection when it connects to CarPlay device. Let me try to reach out to Teslasy and see if they have any suggestions for you.

I noticed the blind spot indicator took half a second to go from the center screen to the smaller screen. What is the delay latency?
You are right the delay is about half a second but sometimes it shows on the display right away too. I guess it depends how far the car next to you and how fast you’re going pass that car.

Makes sense. Honestly the delay isn’t bad for the quality of the product. That UI and screen is the best I’ve seen for a Tesla so far.
The camera add on is not required right? I don’t think I would need camera

Do you know if it's possible to watch UA-cam via android auto on the display, while driving?
You might be able to watch it using Carstream app for android auto but I wouldn’t recommend for safety reasons.

I’m going to buy, when „old“ model 3 can also be displayed and if it stays compatible to version 2024.14. So just waiting a bit for Tesla update and display firmware update with old model 3 style car.

Does the blind spot warning work in split view ?
Blind spot warning only shows red blinking light on the display. It doesn’t show video from camera.

Can you install this with the sexy buttons? I am concerned that there is only one plug to get power so this display and sexy buttons can't grab power at the same time.
Yes, you can connect two devices to the same power source at the same time. I tested on my 2021 Model 3.

Just installed my screen and did update and have blind spot warning but no autopilot warning. Is the autopilot warning not out yet?
It should have the autopilot warning in the same update.
I would try to wait for it to reset by park your car overnight and check again tomorrow.
If not you can try to check the OTA again tomorrow.

@@juradosty I have the same exact same car as you and there is 20 pin OBD port on the front passenger side just like in the video.
You can also check first to make sure you have that port. If you do you can get the AMD version.

Hi Paul, it might be a stupid quesiton from me, I just got the 2024 Model 3 highland and it does come with the front camera, if I purchase the Display without the camera option is there a way my tesla front camera works with this display? Thanks
All Tesla cars come with front camera but the vision measurement not that accurate compare to sensors from older cars that’s why some owners might prefer to have additional front camera for parking.
You can’t connect the camera feed from the car to this display.

Hi Paul, I have purchased the unit using your promo code, received last week and have it installed! However, because my car is right hand drive and when I try to run the wire from the frunk into the cabin, I can't find a grommet to run the fishing tape, The video you have is Model Y (if i am not wrong) not the model 3 Highland 2024. Therefore I am wondering you have any suggestion how to do it? I can see there is a grommet on the right hand side when I am facing the frunk but it has a thick cable run through the firewall and I am a bit worry to touch that! I believe there are other viewer for your channel might have the same question so hopefully you can assist for a solution otherwise the camera i have become useless in my case.

Will this work with the 2024 model y?
Yes, please make sure you choose the right option for your car.
If you have Long Range Model Y pick Model Y option but if you have standard range you have to pick standard range option.

What’s the point of the camera? Is it needed?
Some owners with newer model with camera base only no sensors might prefer to see what in front of the bumper.

It’s particularly useful when I pickup my daughter at the kindergarten. I want to be sure that there is no little ones that I cannot see. Before, so many times I came out of my model Y to check. A front bumper camera should be standard. So many child died, specially since the SUV era. Note that the autopilot is ignoring even an adult at slow speed.
Can we watch UA-cam and Netflix here ?
Unfortunately Apple CarPlay won’t allow streaming apps for safety purposes.

Would be nice but the white difference to the main display ist not similar and horrible… so not worth the money as long the don’t get the same display color
I have tested so many instrument cluster display and non of them can match the warm tone white on Tesla main display all of them seem to have cooler tone white but I think this one is one of the closet one. I know it’s still not exactly the same.

What a piece of crap!!! You have to disassemble the whole car, drill holes, remove the frunk, etc etc. ... another source of parasitic noise !
Crapy Tesla ... why don't one just buy a one of the other great EVs that has a screen on top of the steering wheel or a heads up display?
Because now other EV brands don't have FSD and Model s,x are more expensive than necessary.
Does this void Tesla's warranty?
The only thing that this would void would be the part that you replace from original car which is the steering wheel column cover.
But I don’t have official documents which parts on the car will be covered. It’s just my personal opinion.
