    11 gt manual. Change the fluid to ams oil blowfish bracket. Stainless clutch line. Mines notch sometimes and whines like crazy. I’m in Canada so hopefully something come here to help us out up.

    I have a built mt82 stage 3 twin disc exedy clutch with a Barton v1 short shifter and I don’t experience any problems. But like Doty said we shouldn’t have to build our trans to handle the power our mustangs put down stock.

    I drive a manual and already had the shift forks replaced under warranty, now the 1st gear syncros are gone and I need to get another rebuild (out of my pocket) or do a TR6060 swap. 2013 GT Premium

    I mean I’ve changed the clutch on mine but only because I learned to drive manual with my car and I was really rough on it I didn’t really need to replace it. I can tell from 1-2 is short so I baby it to 2nd and 2-3rd I have to baby it unless I’m getting on it and then it goes in very smoothly from 2-3rd not clunking no grinding. 2-3rd gear while cruising through town and can feel slow because I’m babying it but it almost feels normal to have to do that because I still can’t drive manual 9:12 worth a shit😂 but atleast I’m much better

    i just got a 2020 and had no idea that this transmission was faulty im honestly so disappointed in ford no wonder the dealership doesn't let you ride at higher rpms my trans keeps locking out in 4th and it grinds just driving regular with the clutch pressed all the way

      Any update as to what they did with your Bullitt? Mine since day one has been notchy as hell, takes me a good second to shift between gears as it takes a long time for the synchros to spin down. I also get high rpm lockouts. Downshifts are brilliant with the rev matching though.

      @@webhito those downshifts are delicious 🤤 Clutch plate, flywheel, clutch spring, and that’s all. Ironically enough the car has not been in the shop since November 1 but today it was really notchy and I think it’s about to start acting up 😣
      Anything over 6k rpms I always feel like it will lock out.

      @@BJTF3D Yea, 6k+ on mine will lock me out, I do not force it in but takes a good second for it to pop in by itself, speed shifting is out of the question, its a grind fest.
      Did Ford replace your stuff under warranty? They have denied all my claims.

      @@BJTF3D Mgw shifter, reported my issues before installing it but they claimed its normal. Ford loves beating around the bush when it comes to warranties, at least for me.

    2018 manual gt with a broken mt82. And after so many times bringing it in the flagged my warranty blaming it on “street racing” even though it’s stock other than sparco seats.

    I have a 2013 manual. Mine hasn't broken yet but it's one of the worst transmissions I've driven. Its too jerky and gives a feeling that if I push it, it will break right away.
    I hope this lawsuit goes through!

    I owned 7 FORD cars 1966 through 1984 had no problems. Bought 2003 Taurus and transmission went out. Set me back about $6000.00. I like older cars.

    I have a 12 and its in the shop right now getting my transmission rebuilt. I have the mgw short shifter and i was lockout of third gear and then bam no more third gear. I sure hope ford pays for my cost to fix it. I doubt it but it would be nice.

    I have a 13 gt with the mt82 and in the mornings it is un happy with the gears and i have an aftermarket clutch and roush short throw shifter, got the car as is w those parts but looking to go for mgw because i get locked out of 1-2 when launching hard and rarely will miss 2-3 but its happened twice, im looking to get a tr6060 to save trouble down the road

    Definitely should have to pay I’ve had 7 fox body first one had a Borge Warner I’ve also had 5 T5 which that I had problems with the best I think is a TKO 5 speed that is in my totally built 86 GT have 600 to back tires I race it and beat on it good

    I have a 2020 gt with the 6 speed and i have had issues with the clutch staying half in when i take my foot completely off and it doesnt want to come up until im slowing down to 2500rpm on the high end 1500 at the low end

    i took my car ti the dealership 2 years after i bought my track pack 5.0 brand new in 2014. they said that they couldn't fix my trans because i had after market mufflers.....i told them that the mufflers got nothing to do with the trans and they told me that the decision had come from Ford.

    If my trans ever totally goes and I can't find someone to properly rebuild it, I am just going to order a new Tremec in the crate and pay to have that put in.. I have been thinking about taking the car to Ford to see if they owe me anything or if there are any Re=calls that I don't know about.. But I will either have to leave my car with them or spend a whole day there! And I hate hanging out 8 hours at a dealership just to get something stupid done..

    What is the claim outcome desire? Transmission replacement? Car buyback? Money reimbursement for repairs? 🤷🏼‍♀️
    Bc if ppl are claiming that they’ve been in and out of the shop with the same transmission issues/problems, they can sue under the lemon law as long as they are still under the statute of limitations. In other words, the Lemon Law would apply to more newer vehicles. The older models would probably benefit from the class action lawsuit. 🤷🏼‍♀️

    I have a 2014 gt/cs and the Ford dealership has it now and I am in a dispute as to the transmission itself causing my clutch to explode which is only 3 months old maybe 1200 miles on it.
    When the transmission is blown. So Ford get ready to grab your pocket book.

    Camaros have tr6060 as well. Ford just needs to use the TR 6060 with all Mustangs period. My 14 5.0 manual had the same issues. My mt82 on my 19 Ecoboost has clutch chatter/rattle when shutting car off. I have to press in clutch when shutting off the car to save myself the noise. Other than that I enjoy driving my car. Just wish it was a 5.0/GT350!

    I have a 2019 eco boost it’s automatic and I’ve already had to replace the head gasket have one of the cylinders replaced because of coolant leaking into the cylinder My car pulls really bad and shakes when I turn it on probably have to replace another cylinder again fml

    I haven't personally had any issues out of my mt82 in either of my mustangs. Both of them make 700+ hp. My 2014 GT350 (Yes they exist, go look on my page) this car has about 6500 miles. Its supercharged and makes 613 to the wheels. I've had no issue with it. My 2015 Mustang GT has 41241 miles. The car makes 680 to the wheels. I did replace the clutch but stock clutch is NOT rated for that power. I did a Mcloed twin disk, flywheel, new master cylinder, and added a Barton short throw. I've raced the car, put it on the dyno and down the drag strip. Never any issue what so ever. However with that being said. I have about to put a built MMR motor in my 2015. I thought about going with a MT82 for it however they can't hold the power level I'm going to (aiming for 2000) no matter what you do to a MT82 it will not be able to hold wear and tear for anything over 1000hp. I do agree Ford needs to do something. Maybe like KIA did if you have an issue they replace it totally if there are no issues they extend your warranty. I do not believe they will just replace everyone's trans. And they could still fight it to drivers error. Plus if you've done any kind of performance mod they may deny it. I'm not sure how it will go in court for the simple fact is it's a manual transmission. There's no guarantee that every single one who owns one knows how to "properly" (I use that very loosely) drive one. So I'm about 60/40 at the moment, and I'm looking forward to see how it turns out. It's been a common fight among Mustang people for a while.

    I bought a 2014 v6 mustang with the MT 82 at 42,000 miles on it and one owner. I’ve had it for under a year and now it’s currently at 49,600 and the feel of the transmission has gone to shit. At cold start it’s jerky. Sometimes you have have to manhandle the shift knob to get it into gear. Over all it feels like shit. I’m taking it to the dealership tomorrow to get looked at. It honestly sucks bc the point of having a manual is to enjoy having control over the cars gears and shifting and it’s honestly not fun at all. Every time I get in to go anywhere I honestly worry my clutch or transmission will give out on me. The catch point in my clutch feels too early and is catching earlier than it was when I first bought it less than a year ago. I hope this helps

    2020 GT premium - 6 speed manual - temps are dropping now where i'm at, clutch/flywheel starting to make more noise than normal - 2,200 miles - I'm pushing the RPM's a bit more now that it has some miles on it and noticing how sloppy the clutch is when trying to move through the gears quickly. Disappointing. I keep thinking I'm hearing piston slap, but pretty sure it's clutch/transmission related. Appreciate the info the the lawsuit.

    I know this is 4 years old but I just got my 17 GT Manual like 9 months ago and I am starting to get that 3rd gear lock out which is the worst.. Should I go to Ford and see if there's anything they may owe me on this car to help fix thing's a little more? Any recalls?? And it's not wear and tear, because I still have 12,700 miles that's it......

      Try the BG fluid and additive. It cured all my notchyness, I'm at 18k on my 11 gt.

    I have a 14 V6 manual with mods and the transmission is horrible. Hard to get it into 1st. Lockout at high RPM etc. they should replace with tremec

    Is there a way we can report our problems to help out on the case? I have a manual. 2014 with ONLY 42,000 miles. 3rd gear synchronizer is shot. Ford wanted to charge $6,000 for a new transmission. I laughed in their face and left.

    My clutch went out on my 14 at about 30k and they didnt cover it thru warranty. I literally was driving and it just didnt want to shift anymore it popped out of gear and basically rolled the car to park on a sidewalk. Also i baby the car so i was surprised as to why it went out so fast. Cost me 2 grand to get it fixed. Car still feels weird when shifting and kinda locks me out of first or has a weird jerk. I put a ford performance shifter which kinda helps but still meh. I hope they give me my money and fix it again.

    My mt82 is fine after some BgProducts fluid. It’s a little notchy for 2 minutes when cold... doesnt bother me because it’s a manual transmission, they aren’t the smoothest when cold. Camaro has a better trans, but costs more money. Not sure about other cars, but I know the Porsche 911 996 came with a Getrag trans. With everyone complaining about the manual, maybe Ford will discontinue manuals altogether!

    Auto driver here but my year doesn't qualify anyway. But I do think that Ford needs to be held responsible. It doesn't pay to skimp on quality, especially with such a popular muscle car. It's almost like a flap in the face when you think about it. Pay up Ford boo! You f'd up!

    I’m a huge fan myself of Ford and the Mustang. But they should’ve just stuck with Tremec for their other Transmissions. I own a 2014 3.7 V6 with the 6R80 Auto. Now as much as I love the manual trans shifting. I gotta tell ya this particular Auto trans is a dream to drive with this model. But I believe that Ford should pay for the screw up that they made.

    It always seems like the 11 to 14 Gt's have the biggest issues.. The 15 to 17's too from what I hear.. I have a 17 but with low miles barely driven So I guess thats why mine doesn't feel that bad.. It does feel loose... Sloppy is a strong word.. Anyway I did the Steeda Insert and Steeda Body bracket and i totally regret it!! (The NVH is like a Race Car now!!!) I am 50 I want Calm and smooth if my life when I am just cruising around.. Someone on line said it's the Insert and to just pull that out, and leave the Body bracket.. And that should be a happy medium. ((It's even super loud inside the car Cabin. (( It used to be somewhat quiet to about 3300RPM now it's a shaky loud mess at 3000 RPM...))

    My girl and I both drive 2014 'Stangs w/ 6 speed manual transmissions. Both have issues with shifting lockout and clutch issues. Mine is currently getting a new clutch. My girl's is next in line for the same. Thankfully mine is still under Premium Care Warranty, so cost is only $100. Sadly, hers is not, so repair will cost significantly more.

      if u want to save money I had lockout everytime. I added steeda trans bushing that mounts trans to body, also the bushing that goes into the big void under trans brace . the biggest thing was fluid. bg synchroshift fluid change helped daily driving. shifting felt like a stick thru marshmallows before.. and 5th gear was the weirdest feeling ever. after fluid change it was a dream. it all cost me under 200$ . I still havent upgraded the clutch line either and I never get lockout anymore. those are all bandaids I did but yeah

    i ordered my 2021 GT/CS with the MT82. So far so good but I'm not getting on it every day. It does feel ratchity at times and I've been locked out once or twice on hard pulls 2nd - 3rd...i blame that on me but maybe the MT82 has something to do with it. Only have 1,800 miles on it since last August. Did the lawsuit only effect up to 2020 or does it include the 21 and 22 MY.

    The mt82 in my 19 gt makes a weird rattle noise between 2500-3000 rpm. I bought it new and its been doing that since day 1. Keep us posted, thank you.

    My 14 has the mt82 and I have experienced the actual flaw design of NYLON shift forks going out in 5th gear causing it to grind. I had the MT rebuilt and replaced all nylon with brass internals and new synchronizor assemblies from AMP. The drivability now is amazing and no lock outs or missed shifts as before. You right tho bro we shouldn't have to come out of pocket like that for these #yotes. As high as they perform Ford gave us a 💩 drivetrain from start tryin to save money smh. But i still love my stallion!!! 🐎🔥💪🏾

    Manual 2020 gt. Supposedly they did some revisions internally to this year. I'll comment with an update in the spring when the tracks open to let you know which shift forks I fucked off.

    If past experience with class action law suits holds true, everyone will get $10.65 from Ford lol. What I never understand is why why why companies (Ford is not by any means the only company to do it) cut costs in areas that really matter. Plus, my car was 42k. I would have paid 43 if it had a better trans. Mind you I’m boosted now for around 20k miles. First procharged then a VMP Gen 3. I’m at 28k miles total on the car on stock clutch with MGW shifter and no issues with the MT82 yet.

    I just bought a garage Kept 2017 GT PP with only 9,000 miles on it. Really it was 8,909 day of purchase. I am about to hit 10K . It is a little rough, but worst of all it feels slopy.. I have no 7000RPM lock out issues, My issues are with down shifting with confidence.. I know where my gears are but it's so slopy that it's easy to miss a gear.. I need to find someone in South Jersey who does Barton or MGW??? Unless Ford has a fix for it.. Most get a Steeda Bracket, and trans insert and it fixes it.. But I want a race shifter..

    I have a 2019 Manual Mustang, and the transmission is not acceptable at all. I live in Canada and my girlfriend is a lawyer, she will follow up the lawsuit for me. If you hear anything please keep us posted!

    Isn’t the mt82 a getrag which is a German transmission they are just built in China, I know they cut costs but I DONT think they are horrible, could they be better yes. But a shift bracket and better shifter and fluid change usually fixes most issues. some have had clutch issues and shift forks breaking. 7k rpm missed shift will do a lot of damage and these are 400+ hp cars people are missing and beating on. Things are going to break. Guess we will see what happens, hope mine is good for a long time 🤞🏻

    I’ve got a 2014 V6 with the mt82 only 44,000 mi. No problems yet,knock on wood. But then I don’t drive it hard. I am 67 yrs old. Yes if Ford knew they had a problem then they should have to pay. I can’t believe they had so many service bulletins,and they haven’t fixed the transmissions. Yeah they will probably loose the lawsuit after spending lots of money to fight it. Ford should think about what this does to their reputation, but that’s how the big automakers roll. ,

    They won't even make things right for everyone with hood corrosion.
    I owned two 2015 GT performance packs but am glad I have the 50 year anniversary auto.

    14 gt/cs manual all day everyday only for me. I have changed clutch flywheel, pilot bearing, slave cylinder, braided pressure line, Shelby iso reservoir, dual clutch atf (called Amsoil they said they highly recommend motocraft dual clutch not to use Amsoil, that came from Amsoil) I’m an authorized Amsoil dealer. I run Amsoil gear oil in diff with friction modifier. I have OG Barton shifter & bracket with shifter rubber gasket to reduce NVH. Have diff gear oil been venting out due to high oil temps since brand new. I also run a driveshaft shop 1 piece DS all arp bolts have thousands dumped into my driveline

    Is this lawsuit just for California residents or nation wide? I've had nothing but trouble with the tranny in my 2013 Boss 302 since I bought it new. I have a little over 12,000 miles on the ODO now and had the entire transmission replaced at 2000 miles because it kept stripping second gear. Now this evening as I was driving normal it locked up on me in second gear and won't disengage. I paid over 40 Grand cash for this car and to have these troubles is insane. I'm at a point where I'm pissed!

    If you want a tremec get a Camaro of any year like I did, or a challenger. The 1 problem you will run into is changing the fluid for smoother shifts, other than that that’s the only issue 8/10 times

    2013 gt. 37k miles syncro for 3rd and 6th gone. They need to admit failure and replace. Id love to get onboard with the lawsuit. I live in Pa. Anyone else from Pa wanna look into this?

    I just found about this lawsuit. I have a 2013 V-6 purchased used and had a transmission leak repaired at 18K under warranty. The car has only 33K on it now and hear noises out of the trans after shifting at lower speeds. Baby the car with no hard driving. Sad to see this kind of workmanship on such an iconic car.

    Sounds more like a clutch issue at the stock power range for the 5.0. Its well known that the clutch is very poor from factory and once you replace it, all the problems go away. once you start making over 450hp wheel, then the trans starts goin.

    Manual and ford should pay to swap the transmission out for a tremec

      Look at the price difference between the two trans. Then look at the average price for a transmission swap. Then multiply that number by the number of MT-82 owners. That’s not good business bro🗣😂

      Dude that would be awesome if they switch out transmissions. I bought my 2019 Gt new and at the time I had know idea that the automatics were faster or I would've went with a automatic

      yup T56 tremec 6 speed quick time bell housing, change the clutch size done. i would take a t56 on the house for Fords stupidity on manufacturing.

      My MT82 (2013 5.0) has been essentially flawless. It's the stock clutch I hate and that plastic clutch line. I'd rather have a Ben Calimer MT82 stg 3 with the G-force gear set. Handle way more power than the Tremec.

    I have a 2018 mt82 didn't know about the issue in the Trans but I've had 3 Trans. 1st Trans was shift fork in 3rd gear. 2nd Trans maybe shift fork again not to sure but it was stuck in 2 gear. The told me I had to buy another Trans so that was 5680 dollar. Now I'm on 3rd trans now and the 3rd gear synchro is all jacked up. And they don't want to fix it. The car only has 10000 miles on it. But iv bought upgraded clutch and steeda shortthrow shifter for the car. Hopefully this Trans will last. Just wondering how do I take part in this law suit I don't believe a new car with 10000k miles I need to buy a Trans myself out of my pocket.

      A Ben Calimer MT82 is a better bet. The stage 3 can handle1,000 hp /900 lb-ft for less than a Tremec swap.
