Generally speaking the default value of 1.5 should be alright for most materials - including plant leafs. If you do know the actual IOR property of a material then you are encouraged to type it in, that'll be the most accurate way of going about it. That said, in practice a difference between IOR 1.5 and say 1.4 is quite minuscule if you're dealing with non-refractive objects such as leafs. Hope that helps! Nejc
Thank you for your brilliant tutorials. They ase really ery useful and informative. I have one question; how is it possible to put a .png with transparent background to another material or color? Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words, glad you are finding them useful! For questions such as these, best to post over on the forums, as then people can share screenshots of material set ups etc, especialy as there is more than one way to do this really, depending on what effect you are after. forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=49.0 would be the suggested board to use there :) The best way now with the release of Corona 8 is probably the Corona Decal. Other ways include using Layered Materials, if you wanted them to have different material properties (e.g. think one part being metallic, one not), or using the Mixture Shader. If you can pop over to the forums, you can share an example image of the result you are after. Thanks! Tom
Hi! For all bug reports, please submit a request at support.corona-renderer.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402300234001-How-to-report-issues-C4D (link to submit request is up top, or you can post to the forum) - the support team cannot monitor UA-cam comments. Thanks!
Not a single material no, but it can be done using the Layered Material and the Normal Direction shader (C4D) or Corona Front Back (Max) as a mask. Thanks! Tom
There are lots of places - best starting point is Chaos Cosmos, since it is included with Corona :) After that, there are many sites that have 3D models for sale, e.g. Evermotion have a large selection of plants (and more), but there are lots of other sites out there too. Hope this helps! Tom
Hey! Unfortunately we can't, there's a lot of licensed assets in this one that we simply cannot share. We do hope the scene is still at least somewhat easily recreated given that it is a closeup rather than a full room. Sorry! Nejc
Keep the videos for C4D coming. Very much appreciated.
I second that! Keep em coming
Thank you very much to the both of you! Nejc
Thank you for this wonderful tutorials 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Very clear instruction. Thanks for that!
You are welcome, and thank you for the feedback!
Question, I noticed the IOR value was left to the default 1.5. Is this ok for vegetation materials?

I'd really love to see a tutorial how to setup the sun and sky in Corona 7 for C4D
I think that would be super helpful for beginners
Dully noted, thank you for the suggestion! Nejc

Foliage almost always has a rougher underside. Does Corona support some sort of a double-sided material for that purpose?

@@ChaosCorona Hi Tom, thanks for that. I'll try to sort it out into Cinema 4D. Also looking up in the forums how set them up.
where can i get this type of plant model?

Any chance you can share that scene with us?
