Listening to Steve morning inspirations on my drive to work in 2008 changed my life forever. I was broke financially and spiritually, I wanted to drive my car off the bridge and end it all. I came into world a very happy loving child and my situations messed my life up early parents on drugs abused us tried to kill us I went to foster care then molested used and abused threw out at 18 and forced to act like I’m the happiest person ever my life was utter shit and out of my control .. I’m learning god loves certain people and that’s just what it is. .. I’m completely lost in life and accepted god plan for me is to struggle no matter how hard I try ….

This is literally my exact thought process. Like I know deep down that he'll come through for me just like he has in the past but it gets really difficult to remember that when it feels like my heart can't take another hit. Even then when it hurts, I still believe, I sometimes have my doubts but I keep believing. I even tell him during prayers that I DO understand it’s his timing but at the same time don't. The waiting process is what REALLY tests your faith, especially when some people start telling you that you should move on. Lord knows I've had people say that to me, but something inside me keeps telling me, "keep waiting just a little bit longer"

I would pray everyweekend and sometimes in the week.
But yeah, I never got an answer.

The only thing he SEEMS to care about according to christianty, is your faith.
Which is unfair and quite frankly a dumb thing to judge someone off of.

If God wished, he could say "be" and the heavens and earth (everything between them and beyond them) would come into existence in an instant. Yet with all of God's power and might it took him 6 days! Now ask yourselves why? This, I believe was done for us impatient humans to learn that great, grand things take time!
I don't know if this is in the Bible too but a Muslim friend of mine shared this story from their faith about our father Adam which I found powerful and would like to share. According to their traditions, when Adam was first brought to consciousness after having been created, he saw the fruits of Paradise and rushed towards them falling to the ground with brute force. God then said to the Angels; "This is the nature of Adam. He is impatient and whatever he desires, he must have immediately rushing towards it without thinking". Our father Adam at this point just had life breathed into him and hadn't even learned to take a step yet he was eager to rush towards these fruits.
Similarly, rushing always makes you fall. You may see something grand and want it now, but be patient and trust in your father he knows what's best for you and when it is best for you - be patient!

Nope,, no one wants to be around me or help me the sicker I get the more pain I feel the lonelier I am. I've tried twice to to push the knife but it wouldn't go in!!. I use i think HE wanted to use me. For WHAT.. I just lost my home after 20yrs! My Drs all dumped me. I CANT BREATH

God does care about you. He often tests our faith and you seemed to have lost yours. Just switch your thoughts to positive thoughts and only think about what you want from now on, not what you don't want and watch your life change. If you're skeptical start with something small that you want and get in your mind that you already have it and it is yours. You just have to believe and stay positive through it all. It may be difficult when life is rough but do it anyway, what do have to lose from thinking all positive thoughts?

Mind if I share? Sometimes we pray to God, asking for Him to "pull us out" of whatever bad situation, or circumstances, we find ourselves in. So....we pray....and we WAIT. And....we wait more. Then we start wondering why God is making us wait so long for His help. Well, let me tell you The Raccoon Story: Several years ago I was on a weekend retreat at a Trappist monastery with a group of friends. At 5:00am breakfast time we went down to the lower part of the monastery where breakfast was served. It didn't take long before we noticed that a young raccoon had fallen into one of the 6 foot deep window wells overnight and was unable to climb out. As we were all discussing how we could reach down to him and "pull him out" to set him free, one of the monks came walking into the room, so we quickly made him aware of the plight of the poor raccoon. The monk smiled and immediately went outside. Then it wasn't very long before we saw the same monk walk over to the window well outside and stick an 8 foot long board into that window well and walk away. The young raccoon immediately saw the board, and wasted no time scampering up that board to his freedom. Now, interestingly enough, our first solution for the raccoon was to somehow "pull him out". Yet, that Trappist monk knew that all he needed to do was to provide him with a way out of his predicament, and he would take the action to free himself. Question: How many times has God provided you and me with ways out of our predicaments, but we didn't see any of them because we were "waiting for Him to pull us out"? Open your eyes and look for the board. It's been there all along. God bless.
