Notice : Thaikovsky liked Chopin and he even has a work named 'Un poco di Chopin'.

@N1gerTV you said it yourself: it's interesting. Perhaps also, because this has a Chopinesque style. God, why is it even important to say something that contributes to the piece? If it is interesting why complain?

I heard the orchestral version of this many times when I was a kid in the early nineties. I never knew what it was called or who composed it and it literally haunted me my whole life.
Then I happen to hear you play this, and suddenly I realized that this was piece I'd been searching for.
It's the piece I heard as a child that I searched for in vain.
    Thanks so much.

Nightfeather that’s the thing about classical music. No lyrics to search up, and when you find a song you like, or in your case, heard a lot of times, it’s near impossible to find. Glad you did.

To say that Tchaikovsky wasn’t a composer for the piano would be absolute nonsense; his works for the instrument are subtle and not very virtuoso, but expressive and beautiful.

I mean they're great of course but when we're comparing the all time greats he is outmatched by the great pianists like liszt, chopin, moszkowski, Beethoven, Alkan, etc

Now, I do not in any way know you on a personal level, but having a beautiful wife and daughter, having mastered the art of playing piano both skillfully and emotionally, and being an excellent artist, I'd say, that you have succeeded tremendously in life. I can tell that you love what you do, just as I love what I do. So glad I found your channel. Hope you're having a wonderful day.

Such expressive playing. I felt each marking on the page in your playing. That coupled with your rubato and attention to phrasing/balance, make this one of the more enjoyable recordings I’ve heard in some time. Bravo!

Thank you Mr. Barton for uploading your video! I truly appreciate it. Your video's inspired and helped me to discover new pieces and challenge myself to play new pieces! I thank you for all the effort that you put into each video which not only helps piano players like us through your form of playing the piano with a visible sheet music, but you also provide us with free links to the sheet music which not all youtubers provide to us!
I cannot express how thankful I am and I applaud each video you make! Bravo!

I swear, we have exactly the same taste...
This has always been one of my favorites. Especially since even a relatively bad sight reader like me can still read it directly from sheet music. It's nice to be able to play a beautiful piece any time without having to study it. Tchaikovsky actually has several good pieces for that (another example would be June Baracrolle from the Seasons).
Great playing as always! Keep it up.

Gobsmacked. Wow. I'm postponing work just to learn this piece. Your playing is truly inspiring and the notation makes it perfect to follow. In effect, you're a fantastic teacher without having to say a word. I'm fortunate that I read music, and the synchro of the notes with your playing makes it easy to follow. Tchaikovsky was nothing short of a sheer genius - and you have made it that so much easier to even attempt to follow! I'm on a mission.. Thanks for sharing this!
