Where is the darn sheet????? I am so freaking tired of you Barton directing to sheets that either doesn't exist or is impossible to find!!! I have been looking and searching for this specific sheet once again in vain! Went for a walk after messing around imslp for an eternity went back repeated the frustration once more and in vain! I have now experienced this extreme frustrating thing one time too many.
@@skipzcs somehow i'd always thought tr and upper mordent meant the same ornament, and lower mordent (strikethrough) the mordent. well that clears it up.
There is this thing in music where the player is one with his instrument. You can't learn that, you have to feel that. When such artist performs it is as if he is playing the very fabric of universe. Such harmony between a human and an instrument is nothing short of fenomenal to witness. I congratulate you for you and your piano are one and that is rare to see.
Paul Barton is my favorite pianist. All the pieces that I want to learn and that he also plays, I often listen to them. And then I play them in a very similar way to him. Currently the Adagio of Marcello/Bach. I love it! 🤩
Your graciousness astounds me... helping those needing encouragement be it in whatever sphere... also budding future pianists can see notes yr playing...bless you lovely peep for sharing....Godspeed ...
This song is so beautifully complex yet simple. No I cannot play it yet, but I will learn. The treble cleft seams to rising and deciding repeatedly throughout the song but the notes seem to change. Thx again Paul for your amazing piano interpretations.
One advice to any piano beginner who want to play this marvellous piece of JSB, for training and pleasure you have to work with "JS Bach 371 Four-part Chorales BWV 253-438 Breitkopf & Hartel" play it again and again until you can play it easly, the rythm is simple, after that you can read 4 voices et you can begin to work seriously many JSB piano scores like the Inventions and the well tempered clavier...
Paul, don't know much about you...but you are doing all this for the love you have for great music and you love to share it around I guess! You are doing great service and you are succeeding!
@@greggreggreggreggreggreggreg1 it's not awful, you're being irrational. And this guy plays outstandingly, much better than you probably. Don't be mad on the Internet and enjoy life, dude
Mr. Paul Barton had really so generously provided such an angle of a point of view that so wonderfully helps to demystify to some degree(s) most wondrous piano compositions . Kind of as good as owning a player piano kind of affect (at least visually 🤗🙏🏽👍🏾)
I am an adult late learner in piano. I know it's foolish to try play something this hard straight away without the proper foundations and understanding but I just had to try this song as I love it so much. I practice just the first two pages and then head back to my beginner piano book
Hey! I'm in the same boat, I tried my hand at this a few months ago having barely any experience on piano. Trust me, it'll be difficult but stick with it and youll get there! I'm only now able to "play" it through. Good luck friend!
I'm in my 5th year as an adult student and I've learned it the hard way that such pieces are not to be underestimated. This looks like it needs a lot of playing time and study before getting it right. I also started to play above my level of proficiency and it took me almost 10 months to get Beethovens Sonata 14 - 1st movement in my hands. My teacher warned me upfront that it is way more difficult than it appears, especially to keep the tempo and get the dynamics right (pinky has to work a lot). My persistence did get me to a level that I can play it without any major flaws and most of the dynamics are about right. Nevertheless, it's still a mile away from how it was meant to sound and how it's played by professionals. So my advise: keep practicing, even if it sounds impossible.
Música celestial. Muita profundidade. GRANDEZA. Fora da realidade normal desse mundo. Herz musical na vibração divina correta. Batida do coração elétrico e magnético do homem.
Paul - thank you for the beautiful piece. I now play only the piano pieces that you have played, always a sure bet but of them are beyond my league 💕❤️
Elephants are all fine, thank you for asking. My elephant friend Romsai, dislocated his leg and was in a lot of pain.. but he's thankfully getting better.
I adore this, have just finished chopin nocturne op 9 no2. And I'm starting this tomorrow , along with Mozarts 12 variations twinkle twinkle little star.,, good to learn a few things at the same time, more to practice,, just a wonderful recreation of the 2nd movement of the original
I liked so much this interpretation, thanks! Next time I will go in the Vienna Showroom i will ask for you for compliments! Excellent the idea to put the sheet, it helps. But I have a question. At min 3:52 you (and some other) play a note (A5) that is not in the score. Some pianist play it, some other no. What is the reason?
This is by far the most beautiful version i have found. He plays so gentle and lovely.

Hello from England, Paul
Beautifully played, thank you
0:42 was...
was that vibrato?
unity of mind and sound
Vibrato is not mechanically possible on the piano, no matter how much shaking one does.
Evan Streater not true. When you shake the piano enough, eventually it will. It will even break.
It's new. It's a Roli FEURICH.
Evan Streater What they meant is that he did a vibrato motion when playing. Not that they actually managed to play vibrato on piano..
Bless you Paul!!
