- With a view to one of Scotland's finest mountains, I have been wanting to camp at this spot for years. I finally made it up to this rugged corned of Scotland and set about heading up the mountain....

This man deserves so many more subscribers. It's rare one of these UK outdoor/camping channels actually focuses on the geography and the nature as opposed to their gear loadout. I wanna see mountains and lakes, not a man eating his meal inside a tent. Keep doing what you're doing, personally i find it inspirational in a sense, really makes me wanna get out in the highlands.
Ah! But the subscribers he has are probably the most discerning and selective. How many more could there be? :)
Thanks for your nice comments Timothy, I suppose everyone has their own tastes and likes and some will enjoy other styles of videos :) Glad you enjoy the way I get mine done and appreciate your nice comment and taking time to watch the videos - its very much appreciated

It's all faux drama and clickbait now unfortunately, that the good content is often missed. 😔
I agree, completely. Murray got an award from Trail magazine bit back. I think it was for best independent outdoor film maker or something like that. His entire back catalogue of vids right back to when his channel was called steaming boots is fantastic. Best of it is the high standard of film making has been consistent right from the first film. Should be on netflix or the BBC far as our family are concerned it's a crackerjack gem of a library of films😊
Hi Murray as always really enjoyed your video they are so well edited with very fitting music, for a short time they let you forget what awful things are going on in the world. Keep up the excellent work and stay safe👍
This has to be the most under rated channel on UA-cam. I dont understand how you dont have millions of subscribers. What youre doing is incredible, not only are you motivating people to explore the great outdoors but youre giving people unable or incapable to get out to great places the opportunity to experience them in these fantastic videos you compose.
thank you - very nice of you to say so , don't think I'll get above 6 figures let alone millions , but if only a fraction of people enjoy it and can take something form these videos , it wakes it all worthwhile :)

What a lovely distraction from the mad world we live in. As a photographer I really appreciate the thought and patience you put into getting all those camera angles right. Beautiful scenery, but takes a lot of skill to put it together so professionally.
thank you - very much appreciate your comment :)

Really good footage of Beinn Eighe. Lot of memories. Camped at the foot of the mountain. Traveled by motorcycle and both bikes got blown over through the night. Came back at a later date to climb this classic mountain. Such good photography. Thank you once again.
Another good video, thank you, and CHEERS.
What an amazing place for seeing heaven with a splash of mountains🤣fantastic video bud and very exciting footage, beautiful 😊👍❤️❤️🇬🇧
couldn't agree more - Torridon is such a special place with cracking landscapes - can't wait to get back :)

Yes , the numb lips. I always spray my face with repellent and always forget what it does to my lips 😂 but the positives outweigh the negatives 😖🦟
I get numb fingers rather than lips, a superb part of the world, heading into Glen Affric at the weekend for a bit of whatever the weather allows.👍👍🏴🏴
Being a big fan of the Scottish mountains it's weird that I don't like this mountain. Alligin is much of my taste and we will tackle it in June. See you there!
Top stuff Muzza, back on form with this one 👌🏼. 9 years since I've been up Beinn Eighe. A revisit has gone up the list.
I follow you both and have often wondered … collaboration on the cards?!
@@AdamGillies-sm2cw nothing on the cards at the moment mate.
It’s a cracker - so many options too - think I’ll be back to try the traverse - fancy a west to east hike across the mountain :) hope you get back soon 👍 keep up the great work

@@ScotlandsMountains full Traverse would be mint, I'm trying to work out a route up/off to combine the Corbetts to the north.
One of the top 5 UA-cam Chanel’s for wild camping. Excellent content.
Incredible content as always Murray. Can’t put into words how much myself and others I’ve sent your way appreciate all the effort you go to in order for us to come with you on your adventures. As others have said, your focus on the places and terrain instead of the “it’s all about me brigade” makes your content way better than anyone else’s. From one Scot to another, we love you mate and you should have your own tv program. 👍🏼😎❤️ Take care buddy, Steven.
Thanks for the kind words Steven - very much appreciated - suppose everyone has their own tastes and they differ from person to person, really appreciate your lovely comments though
Thanks for watching as always

'I'm on the top of the world looking down on creation' and love every minute of being there with you, Murray. You do go to a lot of trouble to film and we appreciate the thought that goes into making it enjoyable for us. Very happy you made it safe down before the bad weather really hit. God bless until we meet again next week.
Thanks Joan - much appreciated

Scotland 🏴 is very beautiful, Thank you Man 🌹🙏🏻
From the sublime to the tempestuous! Amazing how quickly it can all change.
Camped in the exact same spot at the same time, just 3 years ago. Thank you for helping me relive that magical experience. Just phenomenal. Your videos are what keep me enticed to visit Scotland time and time again.
It’s a wonderful pitch and a grandstand view from the tent isn’t it :) 👍
Thank you again Murray, your film making skills are superb. You’ve captured the glorious beauty of these hills so vividly.
Watching your video dreaming of hills and Torridon……cheers Murray…
Loved seeing the deer, glad you didnt venture off to the claggy grade two scramble down when by yourself. Yes doing the set ups, and walking back n forwards must put a lot more effort to the jaunts, am sure we don't expect you to go above and beyond each time, and we are happy to see whatever you record. thanks Murray.

You are always so humble about the amount m effort you put into capturing these adventures and putting it all together into these fantastic videos. Your focus is never taken away from the mountains you love so much. That comes across in every video, and sets your channel apart. Another stellar video in stunning Torridon.
Thank you once again for your time and effort in sharing your adventures😊👊👍
Thanks folks - appreciated 🙏 Torridon is such a wonderful area - I can’t wait to go back 🤞👍
I agree with the sentiments expressed here. Your humility Murray makes me come back to your channel. You haven't veered into trying to advertise gear unlike so many other channels - your focus is on the outdoors. Thanks for all the effort you put into your videos - long may they continue!
Brilliant adventure Murray....absolutely stunning views! It's an area of Scotland I've always want to walk. Shame about the weather the next morning! :-)
Thanks Julian - Torridoin is amazing - you would love it - so many photo opportunities around every corned up there :)
catch up soon

Sat at home in Liverpool looking at the back garden resting my injured knee, frustrated l can't get out on the hill.
Watched a Murray video to cheer me up and inspire a future trip.
So I did and it did.
Thanks my friend,

I've only been to Torridon once (in a hurry, no high walks) and I don't know if I'll ever be able to get back, but it's my favorite place in the world, partly thanks to you Murray and a few other top-notch videographers. Thanks as always for another gem.
It a great place for walking , low or high - hope you get back their at some point:)

Murray, thank you for your videos. I’ve followed you for 3 / 4 years now and when I can’t get out for a wee walk you give me amazing escapism on a Friday evening (sometimes with a whisky!). Thanks again, hugely, for creating and sharing your adventures. Aw the best.
Thanks Adam - much appreciated 🙏
Awesome footage Murray.. Didn't realise Wayfayrer were boil in the bag, I've been getting in a right mess with the all day breakfast 😅

This video is a fantastic advert for Torridon, as good a region in the Highlands as anywhere, thanks for sharing Murray👍
Cracking video Murray the view's were stunning pity about the clag mate atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Another inspirational video Murray, thank you!
Lucked out with weather for evening. Stunning. I avoid summit camps. Summits and sleep walking not a good match 😂
Outstanding. Thanks so much for sharing with us! Ringo
Torridon is my fave...especially my hike through liathach amazing....
Thank you Murray, an amazing video and wow the Torridon mountains are just incredible, its like having something a bit Alpine/Andean like (prettier here though) but closer to home. Fashion connoisseur as always 😁
Your cinematography (both drone and non drone) is IMAX quality good, easily the best on UA-cam (Scotland).
1 small request, would you consider to make the titles (place names) a bit larger, and possibly include a grid reference or two from time to time?
Regards, Wadirunner
I literally shivered when you looked out from the tent that next morning. Another fun video to watch! Thank you :)
Hi Murray, fan-bloody-tactic. What stunning location. Torridon is a fine fine area. You got some amazing drone footage, stunning. As ever thank you for sharing your trip with us. All the very best, Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴

Ps. Have just seen scientific report on CNN news about earthquake lights which might be of interest after your experience when camping with R S in Glencoe. The hanks again.🏴👍😀⛰️

A see you bagged a munro ey 😝😝😝
A wee donder, has the bug caught ya? 😂
Remember id mentioned this one to ya that I want to do it too man. Love this hill. Specially the views from the corrie lochan below it.
Brilliant video and was nice to see some drone footage 🙏
Aye and yes the grade 2 scramble can recall you mentioning that. I havnt done that yet.
Im buying myself a scarp 1 tent when i can finally go back up hills again. Hopefully this Jan onwards. I'll treat myself, because I love this tent so much.
Oooft bad memories on that hill? :/ :(
I got my garmin 😂 mainly because my mum needs that re assurance 😂
And course for other reasons.
Liking that you have stuck the drone up finally once again. That's the way Murray 😜.
I bivvied Liatach, was amazing in the flat stone platou just off the first munro.
Good to see you had a bit more time on your hands for this one too, to enjoy it more for what it is 👏👏🙏
Fantastic. 💯💯
Brilliant video as always Murray. Scenery stunning and loved to see the deer roaming near you. Brings back memories . Hope you enjoyed your whiskey . Video's always so informative. Look forward to the next one. ATB Murray and thankyou.
Thanks Julie - the deer 🦌 were great and not really that bothered by my presence - they were so chilled 😎
Lovely views before the clag descended, Murray. And beautiful colours at sunset 🌅
Glorious again
Thanks Murray What beautiful mountains, your pretty brave camping that high with poor forecast for following day. I think I recall your camp on Alligan, and the Arora. Not sure with the spelling. Thanks again
The Camp on Beinn Alligin was a special one - I won’t forget it any time soon :) however all of Torridon is amazing - can’t wait to go back :)

Wonderful wild camp 🏕️. The mountain 🏔️ views were absolutely stunning ✨
it's stunning up there...I climbed most of them with my late dad back in the 1970s...the worst sun-stroke I ever got was on Benn Eighe Hill as we used to call it..! 🥵
Love it - walked both a few times but never camped on top - thank you for sharing
Your cinematography expertise shows no sign of slowing down. Fantastic.
Edit: and the views on this remind me of one of my best ever days in the mountains in identical weather. Sigh, need to get up there again.
Thanks Philip - hope you get back out to the mountains soon 🤞👍
class once again Murray ..hard to find a spot as you said up there , Liathach pretty much the same
I enjoy all your films Murray, top drawer stuff mate.
Thank you 🙏
Gorgeous, Murray. Thanks for sharing this experience with us. Glad you could relax a bit on this one.
Thanks - was a little more relaxed - whisky helped too 😂👍
Cracking video M. Well worth the hike up with that huge bag and bailing out before that front came in. Appreciate too, the little explanation regarding the behind the scenes work that goes on to produce decent content. 👍

Tremendous Murray👍Torridon is a very special place👌
It’s a magical place and superb for hill walking - can’t wait to go back for sure 👍🙌
What a place Murray. My second favourite Glen.
It’s not a bad spot for sure :)
Ps what is no. 1 ??
Would you agree, Murray, that deer are much more tolerant of human presence than they used to be. Probably due to far more people on the hill these days. Lovely video as usual. Was on Choinnich Mhor 20 years ago with my collie and watched a stoat hopping about near the aircraft remains. Unusual.
Great to know that 'you have been amongst us' here Murray and your video portrays this fantastic area, thank you for featuring it this time. Approaching 4 years now of residency and still can't believe we are here! The glen's car parks were stacked out today (16 Sept) on another glorious day for these peaks, sadly I was working but we can pick our days can't we?! The Kinlochewe Kid.
Saturday was amazing - I was over on Skye on the In Pinn then had to head out again later in the day and ended up walking back under the stars !
Another brilliant video Murray.
That was a hell of a climb with a heavy backpack.
The view's from the top were amazing and certainly a windy one.
It must have been a horrible drive home in that rain.
All the best mate and take care.
Thanks Tim - the drive home was miserable but I was thankful I wasn't still coming off the mountain =in that rain!!lol

Beinn Eighe is one of the few mountain ranges I can recognise on sight. Doing the CWT it looked terrifying the first time. On my second visit I took the harder route round the western side and one of my best memories of the trip.
What a great 'donder' Murray and you beat the weather front. Very atmospheric. I have some awesome memories of Ben Eighe. Its massive but the views are spectacular. Torridon holds a very special place for me with the 2 dogs too. Its such a dramatic area. Thanks so much for sharing
Nice one !
Thank you for taking us with you, I truly appreciate it. I love that every peak has a name 😊
