I have done it like you said but, it didn't work that well. There are two things here 1. The slope is very steep 2. The snow is soft and deep, so tires find it difficult to get proper attachment to the surface of the snow.
There are winter tires on this video. Problem is that the driveway is very steep. Moreover the snow was so deep the the car hang over the show with the body of the car.
How's that possible? Like 2 wheels drive system. My Audi 100quotro went to everywhere and if wanted more just use locks and the even to the tree if wanted.
I think it was used at some point. The problem is not in the car itself but the terrain which is very steep here (not shown in the clip well) and the fact that the snow was so deep that the car literally hanged over the middle part of the trail. You notice how flattened is the middle part of the road creating friction and additional pushback to overcome.

Yes it is AWD all the Wheels drive. Butt it is not 4x4 with high and low ratio and diff lock, the problem with te EV motor on the rear axle is, it is inpossible to reduce power it is always full power. ESP off is maybe better.

There are a very good and new continental tiers on this car. The problem is with the snow that is very deep here. Look at the middle part of the road and imagine the friction it creates against the bottom of the car and no the top of it tires which have limited contact with the ground almost “hanging” over the road. That’s why it was so difficult to drive up this hill.
The car is ok, but the terrain here was very difficult to drive in. Deep snow, very steep slope and low suspension causing additional friction of the snow against the bottom of the car. It’s like pulling the slides up the hill.

For those of you who might be interested this a 2.5L gasoline-electric hybrid engine. It has winter tires on it.
In such cases, you have to: 1. Deactivate the traction control system. 2. Push the Trail button. 3. Give it gas and use momentum. It will amaze you ;)
