Your ability to explain and unpack things is why you're one of the best educators in musictube. Big ups.
Now Oscar is going deep. Cross modulation, layering and enrichment go as FX and the workflow is a never ending loop. You can resample, reloop, microedit rearrange and start again. MultiFx are best but you dont need any weird vst, just stack fx on top of each other, using random Lfo's attached to parameters gives you a bigger sound palette to resample from. It will get a point where everything is glitchy, keep going, its nice past that point. Good diving
That hardware distortion is crunchy. 👌🏻
this was super helpful, but the outro vibed so good i had to try and recreate it just so i could listen to a longer version
Dude, I think you are the only teacher/youtube out there that actually makes dope tracks!!! All the others make trash lol. Loving that bit you made there.
Hehe appreciated!
You make it seem more plausible how you’ve described how to do this. Thanks for creating this tutorial. Love the cheerful vibes!
❤Wow!
I dislike distortion with a passion and when you started playing with it I thought "I'm out of here!"😂
I am SO glad I waited. When you started layering, adding delay and putting the movement in, a sense appeared that I could understand. You had developed massive energy, resolved it into something that I could understand as dynamic music with a flow and drama and retained that punchy drive. Brilliant.
I think the cutting room floor has probably got the bits where you were actually drew in the notes instead of telling us you did.🤩
Thanks for sharing. I think this workflow makes it really fun and its keeps you moving forward and get to the arrangment part pretty quickly. Getting some oldskool 2000's techno vibes from this, love it! Going to give this a try!
Thanks for another great video! You've really helped make my techno harder and stronger
This is so nice! I feel so good just watching your videos! Thanks!!
Thank you oscar ❤️ love your way of explaining things and saying that it's okay to experiment and have fun while producing, i tend to forget that a lot and you always manage to get me back into it ❤️
This is the most fun of all the Underdog videos I've watched so far 😂
Gave me some great ideas for some hardgroove tracks thanks !
Super nice to have more hard techno stuff :) I really like your approach !
Moreeee harder techno tutorials!
Love it! Inspirational as usual! General ideas layed out togeter with detailed workflows to try out, and a few VST suggestions. What's no to like.. Keep it up man! :D
Dude. You. Are. The. Best. Namaste, brother.
Dope!. Almost sounds like some old Speedy J stuff
Yeah - Loudboxer!!! ✨🪐
Amigo muchas gracias desde México 🇲🇽, siempre es grato escuchar tus consejos
excellent video oscar, they keep getting better!
Always guaranteed to entertain myself while trying to produce techno love it 🎉
To quickly change the classic drummachine sounds like in the first technique u can also use the drummachine selector kit. I think that way it's even a little more flexible.
Love your tutorials :D
This is really great! I always get stuck being way too intentional and forget my punk style roots of creating techno like this. This method also directly applies to breakcore as well, which is awesome. Thank you so much for this video. Now off to write some tunes. :)
Great stuff as always!
Super vidéo, merci Oscar
Nice 👌 thanks for all your videos!
Yet another great and informative video, thank you :) I was thinking to suggest an episode on the use of vocal samples (eg. the way S3RL does in Bass Slut).
Really awesome work flow idea
Thank you Oscar ! Always learning from your videos.
Your chanel is great as Alice's 😊
Great message to explore vs overthinking.
AWESOME TECNIQUE!!
The bit when u put the Drumazon midi to a bass patch was the best part.
First liking then watching ❤ thank you for listening to us!! Not sure if you saw my comment on the 2nd latest video, but with CDWs creation of a label dedicated to Bonzai records, it would be cool to see something related to that old school style. Again, thank you Oscar
That actually was fun. And the most important thing I learned was the 2 beats thing ... I usually end up with 4 or 8 bars and then I do melodies because there's so much room and all of a sudden, it sounds like some pop song (haha, I wish!), not like minimal, brute force techno.
I was just trying this out with Kick2, Decapitator, and Reaktor's Grooveboxes. Immediate harsh grooves!
Also too some distortion vsts sound great on hats BUT you have to have a kick drum mimicking the same pattern to get that distortion fizzle. Just low pass the kick out. Great trick too. Also playbeat 3 is a sick sick drum machine.
YOU ROCK
That is all, thanks.
I am no producer but I love your vides for being fascinatinly clear and joyful
Sounds crazy, 😂 now I want to try my own version of this 😅
Nice video! Arturia does a software version of your Culture Vulture (which they call Dist Tube_Culture), and it's become one of my most used distortions.
D16 do make the best-est stuff. But if they were REALLY smart then they'd throw Oscar a free bundle for all the good publicity he's giving them.
You know too that Convo reverb before amp is pretty nasty stuff. Just move the room size and decay for some nasty ass distortion. Pretty dope. Hey also this is a great video! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Good job oscar
brilliant
Great video! Would love to see you do a breakdown on the style of techno released on Karenn’s “Voam” label
love that earring. one day when i'll be rich ill do the course
Hey, Great Tutorial as always. Just wondering: are you tuning your drum samples to the key? Or at least to a note in the scale? Or you think you don’t need that for your drum sounds? Really wondering what’s your opinion on that :)
Cheers!
Really wanted to hear the whole song
Drum machine? Synth? I don't have any of those things, and I haven't made but one bit of electronic sound using Garageband (I won't even call is music 🙂) - I'm just a wannabe. But I love listening to your descriptions about making techno/electronica. Maybe someday for me. 😃✌
this culture vulture maaaaan i wish i had hahaha banger hardware
Drumazon thru decap to tape dist on ozone to resample boom. I also do that same chain through NI driver with super high resonance and low pass the shit out of it resample that for some dirty sub layer. 🤪 but my tracks suck.
I LOVE YOU OSCAR!
Also be great to do this in Reasons beat map utility
Some oldschool hardcore maybe? 🇳🇱
❤
bro pls make more videos for driving peak time!
I'm sorry great video as usual but that opening frame scared me I tought I was getting josh hutcherson whistle scared 😭😭😭
ok tyhat agres.. what hard and what ided waht were working with ? la grtz arno
i think you might have made a mistake in the title haha love your videos
Why do you recommend to resample? To commit to the decision?
Yeah so you can use the same tool to create many layers and not second guess yourself too much!
most music listeners have no idea what mistakes led to the track when it's finished ;)
So chill! Shall we connect?
sweeeeet
Great video. Makes me want to dust off Ableton.
Woof!🐶
Do you make music?
I'd like to listen
I’ve published some techno as Torc! Been putting so much energy into youtube i barely publish anything sadly :/
🎉
that's cool Oscar
How hard can you go?
Whoa, Oscar and a Decapitator. Watch out 😁
BEN SIMS will like this 👌💪💪💪
Anthony Klug Jader
I want mote culture culture....!

You might wanna google adverbs, man.
You're so cute ☺️ I wish I could pet your beard
😂🫶🏻
Just "resample" 🤷
