In this video I have a previous police Dodge Charger that came without the oem center console. I am showing how to install the factory console and fit it in. I am not showing how to redo the wiring, just how to install the console itself. Middle console is mounted by 2 small phillips screws at the front of the console and four 8 mm screws at the back. If your Charger has a shifter on the top like mine, you will most likely have to get shifter trim bazel separately. Everything is explained in the video.

First check wiring behind the radio unit. Then check wiring at the driver door jamb behind the rubber sleeve. If you have a previous police unit than it could be a problem as they strip the car off everything before selling and usually cut bunch of wiring. Dealt with that lots of times and every time something else is wrong. Quite hard to diagnose
I heard to get the rear climate control there is a foam sponge do you know how to remove the sponge or where it is?
Sorry don't have any knowledge on that. Try calling dodge dealer and asking for the part # explaining what you are looking for. They will have all the detailed diagrams

What is strange is my car is 2015. I bought a 2015 center from a junk yard and all of the wires are different!
Is your car ex police? If yes most likely you will have to get wiring for the console. depends on the department, but they often leave their own wiring inside when striping it and don't return the original

Side panels are called center console panel right side and left side.
Metal trim is called middle console gear shift panel trim.

@@JLCra87 Yea there is a local salvage where guys know me so I get extra good prices. They crush hundreds of cars monthly so they don't care too much about parts

Charger on the video is ex police so the shifter is up next to the steering wheel
How did you install the shifter bezel tray? For some reason mine doesn't snap into place
It should just snap in, maybe you are missing some of the clips on the bezel tray
They are starting to sell crap so you have to cut some of the plastic away and sometimes file down clips.
Does the charger port inside the arm rest work?
It won't work unless you get all the correct wiring for it and reconnect everything. But again it depends what police mechanics did and how it looks. Every ex police car is a bit different depending on the department
Does the rear A/C works? or is it something that won’t work since it was a police unit?
It will not work, police charger is not equipped with it. The console that I got was from SXT which had rear climate control
It should work if you have the plastic pipe that goes to the unit. If you buy a aftermarket one new it comes with it

Can I put a 15+ console in a 2012
Hmmm I don't think so. 2015+ is after the facelift so probably they changed something. Your safe bet is 2011 - 2014

@@Caine459 I mean with some modifying it can be done probably. I've just never done it. There could be only small differences such as mounting points or something bigger which will be a problem
I sell adapters on ebay for people that made the mismatch mistake. Happens all the time.

Man they really chopped your wires there. Luckily they left the Power outlets and USB/Audio jack on mine.
Yea it really depends on the department what they do, but usually they cut pretty much everything without thinking
