@@TheArtofImprovement Have you ever read the book called "dont bitch just get rich" ?? Blessings, Dot
By watching the people in my life I've learned that emotional intelligence and analytical intelligence should always be carefully balanced. Whenever one catagory of intelligence out weighs the other the rest are left unchecked and the ego replaces them. Maintaining a balanced and opened mindset is the ideal way to approach life
how to balane
Exactly ....been explaining that for years or trying to ..i felt it first now I speak about it ..some things people pick up or no naturally without a college course to pay for...
This was absolutely amazingly presented! Thank you.

And it's so true what you said about being passionated, when you meet that person who is passionated about something you can just feel the energy they bring !
Yeah !!
Excellent. Great Work!
So enlightening.
Thank you ☺️
I love this video! Very well put together & informative! I made a likewise video with only 5 qualities, I thought we would have all the same but strangely there were some extra ones I had mentioned! Its so great to see even further elaboration on the topic.
Simple and straight to the point, pure intelligence 👌🏼

This is so good thank you
Emotionally intelligent people say “sorry” 🔥
the people that say sorry a lot use it as a license to do it again
@@TheKlink Facts 💯
So emotionally intelligent people are unpredictable and 🔥 and this passion is infectious! !
I LOVE watching video’s like this that reference a book which it’s based & I have-& read it!!
Thanks a lot for sharing
Very informative!
Emotionally intelligent people are the ones who go places, people who aren’t tend to be drones, the type of people when you look in their eyes and you see nothing, where as emotionally intelligent people are there with you, you can truly connect with the, but there tends not to be many of those people around, it’s difficult
Exceptional video bro
Great video
Valuable information
Such a great channel ....
The EQ is by far the intelligence people should be focusing on increasing the most. - that's what's going to help you most in life. It is sad how our society promotes superficial things such as IQ :(
True that !
GREAT list. 👏👏👏😊 Especially self-awareness ♥️ Such an important skill to master. Thanks for this insightful video! 💫
I wasnt aware i was emotionally intelligent already. Thank you for pointing it out for me.
Nice!👍
How are ur relationships?
@@doralymartinez7256 most relationships i have are either good or bad by perspective. Im still highly introverted, but as I've noticed in the last year the more I've been willing to to explain my expressiveness the easier my relationships become to be apart of.
As someone once said, It's not enough to succeed; others must fail.
I love everything bout this
Your video are the greatest
🤔🤔Very informative video. Thank you.👍🏼👍🏼
Great collection of qualities that make up an emotionally intelligent person! Sadly, I don't think I've ever met anyone who possessed all those qualities. In general, having an optimistic outlook, a belief in yourself based on actual accomplishments and rational and realistic thoughts that dispute a distorted and exaggerated negative mindset are pretty good qualities and probably all most people need.
I struggle the most with #1-empathy? What about you?
@@SelfDevelopmentQuest would you be willing to share some of the skills or techniques you use to increase your empathy? Belief is one that I, and seemingly so many others, struggled with.
@@Mensmentalwealth911 This is really a big problem in my professional life. Mainly because, with HR and having to be PC these days, it's tough to really pry into people's lives too much. You never want to offend anyone, and you never want to get sent to HR for asking too many personal questions while trying to show empathy.
The empathy is a powerful weapon to get knowledge
Until now I cannot even imagine that all connocted with EQ. I understood it is important to know a real purpose, meaning of it.
Amazing 😍
Learning how and when to let go of emotions is letting go of the past and grasping hold of the future.🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
You've got to let go of everything. Focus on the now. Focusing on the past leads to depression whilst worrying about the future yields anxiety for fear of the unknown
@@anthonymendez4145 But when the "now" sucks, it still leads to depression and worry. If you delude yourself into thinking things will get better, you will only get disapointed and still be depressed and worried.
@@mrsniffwell7736 when the "now" sucks you still focus on the "now" and try to do your best in the moment
You should incorporate brief summaries at the end of the video covering the headlines of what you showed.
great!!!
great video! explains clearly and precisely.
but anyone notice the tools positioning in 5:04 lol or is it just me and my immature mind
Any Conestoga people?
Please prepare video on its not yet late for 35+ person
From what I understand being able to pretty much turn on/off means high eq
Am I right?
(Note: yes some or many do it destructive from negative influences but please take what as I say as only what I said, no more no less)
*_Quick Fact_*
*_Emotionally Intelligent_* is known to be more important than IQ in the work place
Life Progress - a channel for introverts soft skills > hard skills. See this all the time. Soft skills help jerries fail upward.
I agree but when you make a statement like that-w/o qualifying that ‘fact’-which the vast majority of people do-it has no validation. Make the habit of being able to cite, exactly, just ONE source, to support that ‘fact’. NOT being a jerk-separates u from vast majority-83%-who don’t (per 1998 study from Purdue)
Keith Anderson from my 6 years experience of work at airport where i work with more than 4000 people i find it 100% true, someone might be extra smart but emotionally stupid which will effect all the surrounding negatively.
Someone might be the highest at productivity, but treat his coworkers in a not nice way which will decrease their overall productivity, that person is a cancer at work and must be out in order to succeed, what the guy is said is 110% true in my opinion and i have personally suffered greatly because of those “cancer at work”
Keith Anderson yeah, your way of looking down on people who dont have the highest IQs prove that you got big Emotional Intelligence problems.
Good luck in running a company, or working with teammates, your arrogance will be your failure.
And btw, remember Einsteins quote about curiosity? Yeah he never had the highest iq in his life, there are literally thousands of scientists who had higher iqs, but he had better emotional intelligence, and he achieved and discovered better than them all.
@@mamindhive how else am I supposed to look at short people besides looking down?
Curiosity is an aspect of creativity also known as trait openness in which I score very high. After IQ, creativity has a massive effect on success.
I run four businesses so it seems you don't know what you are talking about. One of the businesses I run does consulting. I get respect from clients quickly because of high extraversion combined with a straightforward and very blunt but effective delivery. That comes from extremely low agreeableness, namely in the aspect of politeness. Hence me having no issue calling a spade a spade in regards to IQ and so called EQ. It also helps being quite low in neuroticism so I don't care much what others think.
If I had to identify a weakness it would be low conscientiousness. Not very industrious about getting things done. More the big picture type. Strategic thinking is my bailiwick. The IQ and Openness intersection I mentioned.
Perhaps you should offer a counter argument to my claims instead of reassuring yourself by imagining my likelihood of success. But that requires IQ, not feel good EQ nonsense.
Stick to throwing bags at the airport. The airport designed by high IQ people. With tons of planes designed and engineered by high IQ people. That rely on radar and other tech also designed by high IQ people.
You mentioned Einstein, quite a high IQ. I'd wager his EQ score was actually quite low. He had low self awareness and often had disregard for the feelings and even actions of those around him. Not sure you could have picked a more terrible example.
Note, low IQ doesn't make you a bad person, but it is a big indication of potential success. Same with height and basketball. Stating reality and facts is not "looking down on" anyone.
Inteligence.....shld've been intelligence🥰
It's just a concept, emotionally intellectual person. (pay attention) to your imagination
Recommend one part Eeyore to one part Tigger, with a jigger of owl for zing.
Pure Gold..
I wish all people would watch this video to be more emotionally intelligent. 😀
My biggest struggle out of these 10 qualities is #1-Empathy. What is your biggest struggle? Biggest strength?
I’m gonna get my UA-cam channel to 100,000 subscribers one day and this channel keeps focused on that goal
meditate & read the power of now. you will get an answer
A cell phone could be a need because most jpbs wont hire you if you dont have one.
In my experience, helping others succeed has no benefit for me. People just take and never give back, such that there is no gain of allies or powerful relationships; they will just leave you behind.
EQ is a curse for any man if it's too high, it's only helpful for woman or monks, priests and employers. Having individuals lacking EQ, employers often mention it feels like they are running a daycare centre with the amount of childish behaviour/drama in the workplace.
A high EQ person knows when they were wrong, and tries to make it right next time
Too long to share with friends .... but maybe I can figure out a way to snip out a 1 to 2 minute clip to share on WhatsApp.
Send then the link for them to watch it themselves
Cars and phones are a need.

Intelligence is all about IQ and that is something you can't change unlike so-called emotional intelligence that can be developed. So, it's not really intelligence but a skill.
Abraham Maslow was such a high eq show off pfff
In hindsight, fuck optimism. Cynicism is healthy when applied correctly and controlling which opportunities come in to your life is more valuable than just having opportunities.

"There is no such thing as EQ. Let me repeat that: "There is no such thing as EQ."
The idea was popularized by a journalist, Daniel Goleman, not a
psychologist. You can't just invent a trait. You have to define it and
measure it and distinguish it from other traits and use it to predict
the important ways that people vary." -Jordan Peterson
Daniel Goleman is also a psychologist
Let me guess you got an assignment on this topic.

Power of faith? I’m atheist
i took it as faith in yourself....?
As I understand, atheists believe that there is no god. So they do believe...in themselves, and that is a beginning of having faith. May you continue your journey of seeking the truth.
I don't have faith in anything because I'm not religious.

Jonathan Meddis do you think it has anything to do with his preoccupation with competence hierarchies?

@ I seem to have very limited facility to process and discuss my own emotions. I have enjoyed Peterson on the Rogan podcast, where can I find this class you speak of? I found one that was not free.
