I was all over the internet literally yesterday looking for this exact information. Almost perfect timing... I picked up the m4s last night. Sick goggle.
HI SportRx team, thanks for the video. It pairs well with your recent Anon Top 3 goggles vid. I'd really like to see an Anon lens guide, similar to those you've done with Smith and Oakley. However, one thing I felt was missing from those, and I'd suggest in an Anon vid like that, is to give really good camera views up close (maybe have a little spinning platform to show 360 or just hold/spin close to camera lol) and of the interchange systems (mag, locks, snaps, etc) - but especially views through the back of the lens to see the color tints. Maybe a comparison like lens on left side of screen, no lens on right. Having snow in background would be great, but I understand may not always be doable. I know you consider video time, so it could be a part 2 if needed. I don't have as easy access to see these in person where I'm at in NC, so I like seeing details in videos. Best,
Wouldn’t it be awesome if they made a toric lens for the M4 that extends a little bit more, just enough to cover the frame, in order to get a totally frameless look? Awesome content Rob and Sport RX 👍
Finally some explanation. Thank you. However! For prescriptive glasses you moved way too far. Many people for stake of their healthy and type of correction must go for having own prescriptive glasses under the googles. I am not sure if M4 supports it ... Also we miss dimensions - width?
I recently grabbed a set this season of M4's the exact same colour (Gargoyle) as Rob has on which came with a Cylindrical sonar silver lens and a Toric low light infrared. So best of both worlds :) M4 are brilliant for OTG.
Just snagged a pair of m4's from my local ski shop. wore them around for a little and i have that pressure on my nose causing me to be nasaly. Back to the m3's i go.
Missed a huge extra cost associated with the M4. Out of the box any MFI accessories you get are NOT compatible with M4. The neck warmer you get with the goggles obviously work, but for any other standalone accessories you will need to buy a $25 MFI XL carrier to get them to work with M4. You can swap the MFI carrier that comes with accessories (only compatible with sizes up to M3) from your existing neck warmer, but it’s fiddle and definitely not something you’ll want to be doing hillside or regularly. The packaging says MFI accessories are compatible with M4 goggles, and they are, just with an extra $25 purchase or regular swapping of the carrier. Pretty low of Burton to not offer a swap program or provide carriers with the M4s given they know it’s an issue.
I ran into this issue as well. I bought additional neck warmers and they were not compatible with the M4 even though they claim they are right on the product packaging. Well, they are compatible after you buy the adapter. Lame.
I would be shocked if you weren't extremely pleased with the M4! Don't forget - if you were to order from SportRx, then you would be protected against any satisfaction issues thanks to our guarantee!
Great. Got a pair of M4 to replace 3 year old M2 which finally gave up the ghost (3 x ~80 day seasons of mainly tree riding!). Now, I am still waiting for an MFI RX insert solution… Where I ride, there's just one gondola and lots of snow. I pop my lens off and stash it to melt the snow and keep it from fogging up while I wait for the next 'dola, then pop it back on when I get to the top. Sometimes I'm hustling to catch the gondola, then sardined in with a bunch of folks… one-handedly taking the lens off is already hard enough without the RX insert popping off and falling out… would be great if it were clicked in there with the magnets! I mentioned this to you here 2 years ago. Obviously hasn't moved yet. ah well sad face. ;( Maybe I'll prototype em with some 3D printing… hmmm…
That is an interesting idea! It would be tough to make because there isn't usually much metal in the goggles to hold them in place. That would require a lot more than a simple insert design - probably some sort of housing that would have to fit in the goggle that the insert would clip into? We'll send it to the design team! No promises, though, of course.
@@sportrxeyewear Hmm… I am thinking of an insert specifically for the M4 where the "arms" of the insert are tipped with magnets and line up perfectly with the goggle's magnets. *click* My old inserts are in Japan. I'll see if they line up at all when I get back there, then see if I can't prototype something (glue some little magnets on the arms haha). 👍🏼
So annoyed they discontinued the M2. Had them since first released. Been through multiple. Kinda one of those things when you find something thats perfect for you why switch?
Hi Rkky! The M4 lenses will only work with M4 goggles. While the sizes are somewhat similar they are in fact different and will not accommodate other goggle models.
SportRx it wasn’t an internet store, but a store nearby that has had trouble selling their winter products, and therefore selling them very cheap, so no worries there. Thanks for the advice
Hi Glen! The M4 toric lens may have slightly better optics than the spherical Flight Deck lens but the Flight Deck may offer just a bit wider peripheral view. The M4 also comes with two sets of lenses to cover you in a variety of conditions but we have been stoke don the Sonar Red! Check it out here: www.sportrx.com/anon-optics-m4-toric-snow-goggle.html
Thanks for the response! Ended up nabbing myself some M4’s! The lens change system and MFI mask swung me in the end! The sonar red is stunning, might have to get it as well! Keep the content coming!
I got a light scratch on the inside lens does anyone have any good tips on how to fix it?? I tried doing research but I feel that the inside of the lenses for these are special compared to other goggles/glasses so I don't want to make it worse. If anyone has any tips that would be much appreciated!
Thanks for the video.Could you help explain about MFI sizes? Are the women's face warmers compatible with the regular mens M2s? Are the women's face warmers tighter on the face than the mens? (looking for a more snug fit!)
Hello Osirls! The MFI face warmers are available in 1 size only, but come in a few different materials and designs. They are compatible with all Anon MFI goggles. The 'carrier' is the magnetic component that attaches to the base of the goggle, and is what the facemask attaches to as well. The carrier comes in a few sizes, each pairing with a few specific Anon goggle models. Hope this helps!

Great question! Unfortunately, our knowledge of helmets isn't as deep as of goggles. What I can say with confidence is that the M3 was designed for helmet compatibility. I have worn a number of different helmets with it and had no issues.

Got two black eyes from my brand new Anon Goggles - $310 and Burton won't stand behind them. Probably a chemical they use in production, but they turned my eyes red and puffy, then black and blue. Burton said tough luck basically. Never buy from them.

Sorry to hear about your experience! It's too bad that you've had trouble with that. I've not found that Anon are more scratch-prone or less scratch resistant than any other goggles I've owned. Speed and velocity can force a magnet dislodging.
