Hmm.. I'm not sure. I guess it depends on how much it weighs. I'm using a CarPlay device now setup to the same bar and it's heavier than this GPS or my phone and it stays on there fine. It does vibrate at idle speed when stopped. But once you get going and the engine smooths out its fine
Thanks for doing this video as I was very sceptical about buying this for my 900 Rally Pro, looks solid enough, just ordered it tonight, all the best from Kelso, Scotland, cheers buddy & subbed your channel 👍
Thanks for the comment. I've only had it on for a little over a week, but so far so good. Sturdy, does the job, easy install, and I like that I now have more options if I need to mount things places. Hope you enjoy it. Safe travels!
@user-fv1576 no regrets, only thing I would want is for the TomTom setup to be a little smaller, less bulky, other than that the bar has been great, very sturdy 👍
Hi, just received mine, Amazon, vibration damage is my main concern, but understand there is solutions to minimize them…. Will be fitting on mine today, thanks for vid, will speed up mounting as there is instructions, only one thing, of what I can see, there is no need to undo the spring assembly, seems by just undoing to screen screw the adjusting bar comes off then just install the bracket with washer as you shown and screen screw back again?
Nice install. What power plug are you using for the DIN port with USB cable. (Finding there as some that don't fit right and disconnect). Also what cup holder are you using? Looking for one that fits.
Yes, you can still adjust it. depending on how low you mount the device, you may just need to readjust the device so it doesnt hit the instrument panel. But yes, its just as adjustable as it was before
I had quite similar solution on my Tiger 900 for phone mounting and because of this kind of mounting, camera in my phone has broken. The whole bar, that is intended to slide up and down the windshield, shakes guite badly if there is windy day and there is a phone mounted on it. So from my perspective I definitely do not recommend such a solution for phone.
Thanks, I was worried about that as well as a phone mounted on ANY motorcycle even mounted on the handlebars can damage the camera due to the high freq vibrations of most bikes. This is why I went with the Quadlock and their vibration dampener that absorbs the vibrations to protect the camera. Thanks for watching and commenting
Helpful thanks. do you think If I mounted a tablet...(Active3/5 or Carpe Iter tablet) if would vibrate and shake around too much ??

Thanks very much for taking the time to share your experience.

Has anyone come up with a solution for the vibration other than the EVOMount?

@@kee7678 yup all installed buddy, very sturdy

Is the windscreen adjustable for height after the additions?

Wondering if this person had the quad lock vibration dampener installed?
