@@UA-camWatcher264 they can do that but it will be a gimmick, and now software companies are switching to subscriptions who would want to pay 10 bucks a month to have a full version of PowerPoint on your iphone
This video could have been "Because they are expensive and it's not only iPhone, most phones are expensive". That is it. Spending $1k on a phone with minimal improvements is ridiculous.
right now,if you are here in canada, what they are doing is asking us to buy an iphone with emi options and when your emi is done, you can pay half money to actually buy the phone or give your old phone the emi for which is done and purchase a new one with new features, but again you'll have to pay the monthly money bills so the money you are paying for your mobile data is included with the emi bill, and its like if you are paying 40 dollars per month for mobile bill, why dont you pay extra 15 dollars per month and youll get a new phone. This tactic is great but i already have a new phone so why would i buy one, there are lots of factors which come into this case like your phone does not have enough bands to support canadian sim so you have no other option left to consider.
That's why I switched to the Fairphone 5. I don't need the newest gadgets or a chip that tries to compete with the one in my PC, just one that gets it's basic stuff right and powerful enough to last for a long while (I don't play very taxing games on my phone, and most of the time I'm just reading news articles or comics on my phone), and that it can be repaired. The Fairphone's 10-year support and ease or repair (plus it's pretty durable) and it's mid-range performance is all I need for the rest of this decade. And if the battery gets too weak in the meantime, I can just replace it like on the cellphones of old.
In not so wealthy counties people leased iPhones. But they aren't such status symbol anymore and viewed just like a phone. iMessage didn't take off outside of US and Android camera handling in apps become better. I would argue that some android phones even have better cameras. So at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what phone are used to run Instagram and WhatsApp. Even KaiOS supports them!
Some of Apples best innovations have been under tim cook, so that is a very simplistic viewpoint, it's likely he is following a plan or strategy laid out, in part by, steve jobs.

And they weren't just the top % earners, fkn lol
Probably not because people are switching but because there's no reason to upgrade... I still have my iPhone 12 from 2020 and it works flawlessly, I don't see a point in paying a premium for minor improvements
I have an Iphone SE gen 2 from early 2021. I believe, unless the next phone is truly spectacular (I’m firmly anti-AI), that it’ll be my last apple product. The price tag and how big the screens are getting just don’t make it worthwhile to me.
I think people just lost the overview over all the different versions. So even if you are an Apple fanboy, you just don't have a feeling of what is new anymore. If I look at an iPhone 12 it looks reasonably modern to me, I wouldn't even know that there's something new.
yes, no reason to upgrade. I bought a Samsung S20 FE in 2021, and when the S23 is out I thought I would get a lot "more" new things and faster performance. I still have the S20 FE when I bought S23 and when I compared both its literally the same with only "slightly" improve in few things that in some reason it not worth mentioning really. in the end its all about adaptations, the battery couldn't last a day then charge it, its getting hot then stop using it for a moment.. those comparisons in youtube that we see just make us feel out dated and feel the need to upgrade..
Galaxy S24 is killing it, with sales up 14% from the S23 series last year. It's not really surprising that Samsung's flagship is taking some marketshare from Apple this year - they did a significant redesign, added intuitive AI features, and did a large marketing push.
iPhone compatibility with anything non-apple is such a pain. I was so happy when I switched back to Android phone. It is so clear, the Apple tactics is to extract as much money as possible from their users and prevent them from using better non-Apple accessories:/
Agreed, can't believe Apple needed EU to slap them to their senses with regards to USB-C. USB 2.0 speeds for local full-device back-ups and needing a dongle for USB accessories was NOT ACCEPTABLE anymore.
I bought iPhone 15 two months ago and I start feeling regret for my purchase, the only good thing about iPhone for me is performance and long iOS support. I'll keep using this phone for years to come then back to Android
I was so happy when I found out that my S23 could connect to my laptop trough quick share as it now available on Windows and it work perfectly as I wanted it to be.. I feel lucky to cancel my decision to buy a Macbook one year ago
1. expensive = Yes 2. no innovation = When exactly was apple innovative? 3. no design change = Yes 4. boring = Yes 5. better competitors = Yes 6. useless = Yess 7. people are getting smarter = Yes 8. inflation = not really, people just realize that apple is not worth the money apple claim for their outdated junk.
I was fine with paying 1600 dollars for a phone. But that did mean I was going to keep that same phone for 5-10 years. You did this yourself Tim Apple.
The last iPhone I had was an Iphone 5S., Switch to android, not looked back. Been able to side load apps without jail breaking my phone, so much more freedom!!

@@You_are_wrong99 well for me it's due to my family having a relative working for AT&T and thus a new apple phone every upgrade year. I love how economists hate good products. This view of “endless growth” in economy must end. It’s going to kill us all. I mean how is people not replacing phones every year because they are so good a BAD THING?
It's not really the "durability". It's just that phones used to be fairly slow, so people replaced them with faster ones (and for some new features). Now a mid range phone that's a couple years old is totally fine for basic use. Why buy a new one? Same happened with PCs.
I think it also use to be common for amoled phone screens to develop dead pixels. Idk but I think this is less prevalent with newer phone models from the last 3-4 years.
iphones are too expensive for a lot of people, and when people buy them there's not enough difference with newer models now to always be updating. Same thing is happening with Macbooks
I work in the cell industry. I am seeing fewer sales for the 15 series than 14 or 13. Customers don't see the point of the huge cost for little change.
i have been an android user and switched to Apple 3 years ago. Now i'm switching back to Samsung because iphone cameras are just not great if you're not using Pro Max.
So right, Pro models keep up with stills from Pixel and Galaxy but the standard can't compete with Samsung offering a better 3 camera setup for the same price on the base Galaxy S series. For video iOS is still king, mainly due to apps targeting it for native camera support.
with the current economic landscape, few people can stomach forking close or more than 1K for a phone and on top of that feature are just marginally better
I think the profit margin is insignificant. What they will be really worried about is that the phone is the key to the super profitable - and walled ecosystem. Personally, I think it is excellent that the EU breaks that up regarding compatibility and the blatant anti-consumer behavior of Apple, when it comes to repairs. As a first time iPhone user, I had quite some WTF moments, e.g. in the App store. Like. Oh well, the calculator on this phone is really shitty, how is this possible. Ah here are some other calculators. - For 5,99 SUBSCRIPTION per month. WHAT. THE. HELL. ...
Bro, the repair program is a joke here in the EU. If you replace a screen yourself for the iphone 15 pro for example is 395€, while they will do it for 405€. They just give the illusion of choice...

Apple is a victim of their own success. They became so successful that they ignored past mistakes of past great companies thinking "oh please! We are Apple. We're the best". Basically Apple's business model in recent years under Tim Cook can be summarized in two words: RIP OFF. Never liked Steve Jobs but the man loved tech and his attention to detail was top notch. Tim Cook is all about money.
@Muhammad-bin-american ----- The business model was 100% an innovation by Steve Jobs. Cook was one of his two closest assistants and knew everything that Jobs thought about. Cook has not changed the model in the least. He has just operated the model more effectively. For example Jobs always wanted services to be a big part of Apple's business. When he died service revenue was 10 billion. Now by adding innovative services Apple has sales of 85 billion in the category. It's likely to be over 100 billion in 2 to 3 years. About the business model Jobs always said: "Focus on the products and the money will take care of itself". Products are still the focus of Apple and their CEO.
@@bruxi78230I agree, there’s this simplistic notion that Jobs was the wishful tech innovator and Cook is the ruthless business man when in reality the two are far more similar than people like to give credit. If Jobs was alive today I don’t think Apple would be as different as people think it would be. There are many similarities between the two.
All the monopolistic bullshit Apple does today was set up by Steve Jobs. In fact, *being more monopolistic* is credited as him saving the company in the 90s, when he killed off all the Mac clone vendors that were out-innovating Apple instead of shipping trash shitboxes like Motorola's Mac clone.
Steve Jobs was not known for attention to detail. When he started a business with Wosniac, he wasn't into the tech - he was the salesperson. He designed contracts to funnel money to himself. He was very much all about the money. Wosniac single-handedly engineered those first computers. The "attention to detail" in early iPhone designs were Jony Ives' handywork. Steve Jobs just insisted on the phone having one navigation button.
@@bruxi78230 You sound like someone invested in AAPL stock. Jobs liked pithy quotes. In the early days, he liked to pace around practicing profound quotes while Wosniac did all the work of design and engineering. People who worked with and around Steve Jobs did not have the impression that you seem to have of him.
I’m still using my 2018 iPhone XR because it still does everything I need it to do. The only thing I miss is the better photo quality and the longer battery life. I’m glad I bought the larger 256GB storage size. That one fact has helped me get the most out of my iPhone.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the main reason people are not buying the latest iPhone, And that is the extortionist price they are asking for them...
The latest iPhone ad I watched emphasized how much storage the iPhone 15 has so that you don't have to delete any of your photos ... and I thought "Bro, I delete photos on my 2 year old, 400 bucks Android because they are clutter, not because I'm anywhere near to running out of storage" - it's such an iPhone problem and you have to pay iPhone prices to fix it.

Simple hype for iphone is decreasing. I bought iPhone last year after my friends recommendation but after using it for year i switched back to Galaxy S24.
I think you've got it backwards: Beijing's escalated trade war with the US? China is answering in kind but only after a long time of accusations and embargoes. China is way different from a small island called Cuba.
I show my iphone friends about iphone anti repair, i simply said if you broke your phone you can't repair it because of the software lock. And surprisingly many of them are very scared to use thier phone because of that.
I switch between Apple and Android each time I need a new phone. I have had no preference. I just like to keep up with the tech from all sides. However, the iPhone offerings have been sub par in recent generations. Basics like touchscreen response and screen orientation are frustratingly clunky. My main issue is that they do a lot of automatic processing on photos, some of which you cannot remove, and the photos don’t look natural. Apples marketing is better than their products, and a lot of people fall for it. My 2 year old Samsung S22 is better than my iPhone 15! I will keep using Apple for now, but they need to keep up with the competition.
I think you can shoot in RAW now which should remove most of that processing I think? Just takes up a lot more memory. But I’m pretty sure most phones do a lot of post processing, just in their own way
@BlackMarketHoney ---- You said: "They need to keep up with the competition" Bad news for you. In high-end phones Apple outsells their only large Android rival (Samsung) by a factor of 9. The reasons why are very obvious. They keep releasing a new iPhone every year and it costs $1,000 just to buy a new one every year. Why would I buy a new one if my iPhone 12 Pro Max is working just fine.
@@marsallen4298 ...Ok, and? That still doesn't make my point wrong. For the price of the cheapest iPhone I could buy a PS5 or a Quest 3 without worrying about them refreshing the devices with newer models every year. I could even upgrade my PC with more powerful components rather than buying a new iPhone every year. The point is people could get a lot more value from the money they spend if they don't upgrade their smart phone every year.
and let's not forget when Apple was caught intentionally slowing the batteries of their older phones. As someone who bought an UNLOCKED brand new Motorola Stylus in 2020, I haven't had to replace my phone, but purchase a 512GB SD card for further storage. I do have an 128GB iphone 6 that I use for youtube and other media consumption as my Stylus is the hotspot for the iphone 6.
You're misrepesenting the battery issue. I had one of the phones affected and it had started to turn off randomly. Apple's throttling update FIXED THE PHONE for me and let me keep using it for longer, at the cost of making it slower.
My previous iPhone (6S) was around 7 years old - the build quality was really excellent. But when it came to getting a new phone I went with android - it's simply so much cheaper and more adaptable
I've lost a lot of respect for TLDR overall the past year or so for this kind of reason, had to unsubscribe from their main channel bc of it tbh. They keep making clickbait videos about China's decline to get tons of clicks, when they're repeating the same bs that they've been spewing in previous videos that hasn't come to fruition. A 10% decline is absolutely nothing close to "collapsing", and we know sales are gonna spike again when they release their foldable phone in 2026.
It´s the same kind of videos every year. Hundreds of them saying Apple is doomed, only to stay silent when Apple sales reach a good number again. They have been having the same reactions for several years alredy, so I don´t know why people take these videos seriously anymore...
@@ChrisJohannsen Obviously people bought it if you have people saying they would purchase another. It just didn’t do “Apple” numbers which is always the most absurd amount of units possible. Not the most practical for insane numbers in revenue. The Plus 14 introduced a year later actually did worse than the Mini 13 or 12 but I don’t see anyone talking about that fact ironically.
maybe huawei could be allowed to sell its products in the us and contries allied with the us. huawei had some of the best phones on the market before it cot banned.
Technically Android is the new Nokia globally. Nokia's market share never reached Android's level. But you cant sue google for android because everyone is allowed to use Android without google's permission.
iPhones are cheaper than ever, and the main reason people don’t upgrade much is because they don't think it's worth it. I have had an XR for 5 years now, dropped it multiple times on the ground and in water, and it still works well for a phone with 64 GB. (I also don't use a case or screen saver.) IPhones are reliable in the long run, and Apple not adding cool features to the newer models because they have iOS updates on past models makes you think you can continue using your phone for a few more years.
I'm still an Apple guy, but I do know 90%+ of what I use my iPhone for, I could do on a good, and much cheaper non-Apple device. The 'killer features' of 5-10 years ago, are all commonplace now. I expect I'll get at least one more iPhone, but cross-platform services and apps have evolved to the point where it's way less compelling than it used to be.
The difference between iPhone and Android doesn't make much of a difference to me. I just need basic features. Produce a showstopping new feature and maybe I'll reconsider. I have a 2020 iPhone SE. I purchased it two years ago new for $150 USD. It was on sale. While more internal storage is attractive, I have no reason or desire to upgrade. It still receives software updates. Money is tight and I have better things to spend it on.
Probably the main reason is that Tim Cook is not an innovator - his only way of making sales is to increase the MP on the camera, increase memory and processing speed - and of course degrading the battery to force you to buy their stuff.
@@tomtom1541 As an android user that used to have an iPhone I mostly underutilized the toggle mute switch, and having a digital mute option on android works just fine. My point remains you can still use the new action button as a mute switch if you want. USB C is a greater win overall.
over hyped and over priced piece of metal that gives you inconveniences just to make a trillion dollar companies an extra few bucks, the don't even give a charger in the box...
I jumped from an iPhone 8 to the iPhone 12 mini and have seen nor had any need to upgrade. The only annoying thing at this point is the charging point getting worn out so I have to wiggle the cable to charge my phone haha
true but I got a free IPhone 15 plus. I then went to an apple store to repair my broken glass on my old iphone 12 and got a brand new Iphone 12 for 50€
And then you want to upgrade to something really worth it - with cheap satellite calls/internet all over the world, for example. And with 5.5/6G ability. And so on. So it won't be iPhone for sure cause it won't have it in the nearest decade.
I would add is Apple is no longer the innovator and customer focused tech company it was. Their entire business model is about looking you in their over priced ecosystem in which even repairs cost you almost as much as the phone itself. Since people are looking at other brands more often, people are realizing how amazing android is when it comes to compatibility between devices. So there is a more consumer focused market there compared to Apple.
That was the last straw for me years ago, my iPhoneX screen died. It cost me then £360 to replace, which is nearly half the price of that model then. Waste of time. 🙄
To quote John Brunner in the great novel Stand on Zanzibar, "Why do you think you get such a generous trade-in allowance when you switch from next year's model of some gadget to the year after next's? Because some of the parts are going to be put right back into the new sets, and what can't be cannibalized will be sold as precious - and I mean precious - scrap."
I’m on an iPhone 12 Pro and the reason I haven’t bought a new one is that the 13 Mini had no 2x zoom camera and then there was no more Mini iPhone. I’d buy a 16 Mini with a 2x or 3x zoom camera in a heartbeat - preferably a thick phone without a camera hump.
I used to upgrade my iPhone every other year. You could count on big upgrades from the original all the way up to the X. The only reason I got a 12 Pro is because it had 5G. Going from, say, a 3GS to 4S was huge. Same if you went from a 5 to a 6 or 6 to X. But now, it’s not that different between a 11/12 to a 14/15. Why pay $1000 for a phone when you can just get a new battery from Apple themselves for $90? But there’s been nothing new or enticing for me since then. Only reason I’ll get a 16 later this year is because my phone is finally starting to slow down for games like Honkai: Star Rail and Warzone Mobile. USB-C is nice that they finally did it, but I didn’t wanna replace my cables yet since my last car had CarPlay (after an aftermarket upgrade) and I wasn’t sure if swapping the cable would mess that up. Now I don’t have CarPlay in my new Model 3 anyway.
Main problem they face is the commodification of the smartphone market. They refuse to offer midrange and low end devices. Most people, me included, do not see any benefit to owning a flagship smartphone. The difference between the cheapest and the most expensive phones nowadays are miniscule for an average user. Apple would fix a lot of it's problems if it gave up the brand image of "expensive product maker" and made a CHEAP phone. Like, proper cheap. 200 dollars or so. They don't have to give up the premium label either, cheap phones are often extremely well made and pack great cameras and smooth performance. Generally speaking, everyone has seen a trend recently of flagships or ultra premium devices just not being worth it. The improvement year by year are marginal, and being able to play ps5 games on my phone is a gimmick at best, because why the fuck would i genuinely want that. It feels like people have a tendency to hold on to their devices longer because they're better than ever, and when they do purchase go for the cheaper option, or the older flagship for a massive discount. There is literally no point in having the latest possible phone. The ultra premium market will simply continue to shrink, and Apple refuses to make phones that are stripped down and sold at a lower price, which will ultimately kill their cash cow if they continue. The luxury market is incredibly small and aside from selling new phones at 10k each, they can't rely on it.
* Totally deserves this.* Customers pay such a hefty premium price for their products - only for them not even being the slightest generous to include an Adaptor, EarPods, double Stickers, full phone Peels, User guide manual or even a box Wrap covering anymore at all.
I remember people always wanted the latest iphone and got them now those same people get the regular iphone 14 and keep it for two or three years, only changing cause of the usb-C to make it easier to charge. So in my experience the only innovation they have done since the 12 is the usb-C port
This would've happened years ago if it hadn't been for the Huawei ban. The US government bought Apple a lot of time and they still failed recapture the market.
iPhones are generally durable. My 6 has lasted 9 years and is still going, albeit repaired. Replaced it with a 15 Pro. Pricey here in RSA. But wow, what an awesome phone. Add unlimited Apple Music at +- $4 per month and a stereo with bluetooth, and you're laughing.
I mean I bought iPhone 13 Pro and after 2 years it still going strong, works like new, makes great photos and video, plays all the mobile phone games better than most phones out there, battery is at 94% health and newer iPhones haven't show anything worth €1200+ price of another iPhone Pro to replace my current one. So why bother with replacing? This isn't 2000s/2010s where every year there was major upgrade done on phones.
They have brainwashed their customers for long enough and people start to look for a more suitable product in term of price and functionality. I guess that the case now.

I replaced my s20 with an iphone two years ago just to see. I was shocked with how buggy it was. Just bought a pixel and damn...Apple is just coasting at this point.
Because people only buy new phones when the old one is beyond repair. No one is buying new phones just to have new phones bc they aren't innovating as much. Seems like the only improvements made over many years has been water resistance and more cameras added... Other than that the most recent iphones are basically the same as an iphone 8.
@@santostv. Both can be true. iOS market share doesn't increase when people upgrade their iPhones. It only increases when people switch to iPhone. That's still happening, even when iPhone upgrade cycles are longer now than ever before.
Having the same UI and design language kept the same people interested, but it also means the younger generation who are more tech savvy rather have custom launchers and waaay more free apps are turning to Android devices.
The USA also needs to outlaw designed obsolescence in electronic equipment and make it easy for third-party vendors to repair electronic equipment like Apples also making their service-manuals readily available to the general public (I'm referring to the "Right to repair" movement).
I use an iPhone 15 Pro. Some of the problems I've had so far include: 1. Speaker function when on the phone didn't work, which has subsequently been fixed via a software patch 2. Can't answer a phone call as the screen doesn't seem to respond. I've missed many calls as a result. It's the 15th generation and they still can't get the phone to work reliably. Never again. Huawei or Xiaomi you've got a new customer.
So basically Apple made the iPhone so good and long lasting that it's affecting their sales. I don't think Apple is in big trouble, they always find a new strategy to keep money flowing in. Besides that they have high profit margins on each iPhone they sell, so that offsets their loses.
Weird thing is, I noticed this because they ramped up the advertising here in youtube Indonesia. And they got those terrible 10-15 second ads that cant be skipped. When they spam it you tend to notice it. Now I dont see it again though, maybe they change direction for my nation? Possible since there is a lot of buzz of Apple investing here.

The Chinese selling more of their own smartphones is increasingly because their domestic manufacturers sell at cheaper prices, and most people just use WeChat and maybe one or two other standardized apps. This means that people can relatively easily switch between different phone operating systems. Given China's failing economy, while they might want iPhones, Chinese Consumers cannot buy them because they cost too much, so if they need to replace their own phones, they increasingly look to their own manufacturer's cheaper discount models to use instead.

How do you use iMessage on that thing🤔
If my phone costs 1k, it better last for at least 5 years (which it does)...
That's why I'm using mid-range flagship killers, every single upgrade that I made in my entire life feel significant
Too expensive and lack of innovation.
It is getting to the point we are gonna have smartphone loans like we do auto loans.
So dystopian. 😔
They Already do with service providers billing the phone initial cost on an extended schedule on top of service fees
Absolutely correct. There's no reason for flagship phones to be damn near 1500 for the base model.
What do you call getting a smartphone on a contract or tab with your carrier then?
Under Tim Cook apple went from a company focused on innovation, to a company focused on profit, and the stagnation in R&D is finally showing.

Probably not because people are switching but because there's no reason to upgrade...
I still have my iPhone 12 from 2020 and it works flawlessly, I don't see a point in paying a premium for minor improvements
And this goes for Android too! I bought my Galaxy S10e in 2020 when it was already a year old, and it still keeps up with modern stuff just fine.
I have an Iphone SE gen 2 from early 2021. I believe, unless the next phone is truly spectacular (I’m firmly anti-AI), that it’ll be my last apple product.
The price tag and how big the screens are getting just don’t make it worthwhile to me.
I finally upgraded my iPhone 6s to the latest… SE. Still annoyed it lost the headphone jack which I occasionally used.
That is because their ecosystem has gotten MUCH better and you have options for any of the things like watches, earphones etc due to it being android.
The AI features are meh. The real reason people jump on Samsung latest stuff is their camera.
its AI + camera + customizability of android + ecosystem (galaxy watches are great), etc etc
iPhone compatibility with anything non-apple is such a pain. I was so happy when I switched back to Android phone. It is so clear, the Apple tactics is to extract as much money as possible from their users and prevent them from using better non-Apple accessories:/

I have had an XR for 5 years now, dropped it multiple times on the ground and in water, and it still works well for a phone with 64 GB. (I also don't use a case or screen saver.) I expect I'll get at least one more iPhone, but cross-platform services and apps have evolved to the point where it's way less compelling than it used to be.
Because some of the parts are going to be put right back into the new sets, and what can't be cannibalized will be sold as precious - and I mean precious - scrap."
The iPhone died with Steve Jobs
Dead = multi billion dollar per year products. If that is so, I want to make dead products too
Maybe for you, but clearly for a lot of people it didn’t. The best selling iPhones came out after Jobs passed.
@@Alieththe iPod touch 4th generation was like the iPhone 4
Dude c'mon. That's an exaggeration.
Lol, it was shit even then.
Lack of innovation and conspiracy combined brings apple down 👇
How about the PRICE!?!
The price is the same as last year
I’m on an iPhone 12 Pro and the reason I haven’t bought a new one is that the 13 Mini had no 2x zoom camera and then there was no more Mini iPhone.
You could do Android auto over USB C. So there's no reason carplay won't work too.
Bro just get a gaming console for a few hundred bucks and play real games. Mobile games are a huge waste of time and money.
In other words, every one that wants one has one.
The end of the iPhone era is when they started raising prices for a lame camera upgrade and nothing else
* Totally deserves this.*
Customers pay such a hefty premium price for their products - only for them not even being the slightest generous to include an Adaptor, EarPods, double Stickers, full phone Peels, User guide manual or even a box Wrap covering anymore at all.
I still love iPhones but I refuse to have to buy a charger separately because they are “saving the environment” by not including it like they used to.
Yup agreed the only one who still puts a fast charger brick its the one plus pretty amazing
iPhones are generally durable.
10 year iPhone user switched from iPhone 15 Pro Max to a Vivo X100 Pro here. Still have both - the Vivo is Not as smooth, but the camera blows the iPhone out of water, lightyears and beyond. No regret.
I still have a complete Apple setup at work, Mac Studio and like. But still.
Golly Gee -
$35 (yes, thirty five) for my zippy fast even when multi-tasking Android 12 Motorola,
with 32GB memory onboard, and an "extra" $20 for a 256GB expandable memory card,
..or $1200+ for an iPhone?
Motorola are better than iphones and better priced than samsungs.
@@zog97xy They are kinda underrated.
I got the s10 plus. 5 years now. Still looks great and runs great. Had to replace the bettery twice but i learned to do it myself. For around 25 dollars.
Nice oneeeee
Imagine: an entire empire destroyed because they didn’t want to give blue text bubbles to non-Apple devices… 😂
This is because Expensive price and Not including the Phone Charger, A Headphone Jack, they started this trend they should reiterate this issue to come back, instead of AI Implementation
Apple forgot about their hardware business cause they are so focused on their banking/finance division
There’s no way a phone should cost $1,000 and more.
Can we talk about how clean the transition into the ad was?
finally someone who speek English 😅
I replaced my s20 with an iphone two years ago just to see. I was shocked with how buggy it was. Just bought a pixel and damn...Apple is just coasting at this point.
The reason people are not buying iPhones it’s because it’s the same phone every damn year.
Because people only buy new phones when the old one is beyond repair. No one is buying new phones just to have new phones bc they aren't innovating as much. Seems like the only improvements made over many years has been water resistance and more cameras added... Other than that the most recent iphones are basically the same as an iphone 8.
Short answer: We are poor, and their prices keep rising.
That isn’t it chief, iOS market share is still increasing yoy.
@@santostv. Both can be true. iOS market share doesn't increase when people upgrade their iPhones. It only increases when people switch to iPhone. That's still happening, even when iPhone upgrade cycles are longer now than ever before.
1. Too expensive
2. Cost of living crisis
3. Maybe people finally realised they don't need new phone every year
Having the same UI and design language kept the same people interested, but it also means the younger generation who are more tech savvy rather have custom launchers and waaay more free apps are turning to Android devices.
The USA also needs to outlaw designed obsolescence in electronic equipment and make it easy for third-party vendors to repair electronic equipment like Apples also making their service-manuals readily available to the general public (I'm referring to the "Right to repair" movement).
I use an iPhone 15 Pro. Some of the problems I've had so far include:
1. Speaker function when on the phone didn't work, which has subsequently been fixed via a software patch
2. Can't answer a phone call as the screen doesn't seem to respond. I've missed many calls as a result.
It's the 15th generation and they still can't get the phone to work reliably. Never again. Huawei or Xiaomi you've got a new customer.
Going on about 4 years with my phone now. Got the iphone SE (2nd gen) and it was super cheap ($400) compared to apples other lineup at the time.
So basically Apple made the iPhone so good and long lasting that it's affecting their sales. I don't think Apple is in big trouble, they always find a new strategy to keep money flowing in. Besides that they have high profit margins on each iPhone they sell, so that offsets their loses.
Yes apple iPhones are so good that they last long with a maximum life of 10 yrs and so on unlike android phones that only last for 5-6yrs
Weird thing is, I noticed this because they ramped up the advertising here in youtube Indonesia. And they got those terrible 10-15 second ads that cant be skipped. When they spam it you tend to notice it. Now I dont see it again though, maybe they change direction for my nation? Possible since there is a lot of buzz of Apple investing here.
>gave up a datacenter to the ccp
That's huge, glad I finally hear about this 7 years later but nice apple.
Hahaha you are the only one out of a hundred comments to bring up that excellent point. I was pissed to when I heard that. You know there a lot of people who support apple products because they are American.
Every company operating in China need to give cpc access, is nothing new.
@@santostv. operating yeah, but needing a datacenter? Hell india would be the better choice wouldn't it?
was the datacenter operating in the US or China?
If it’s in China, then they have every right to do it.
Companies have to comply to foreign laws.
Also look how the US treats TikTok.
What the US is doing is going against international law, that’s why the president will be blocked by the court again.
Never had an iPhone, never will.
The Chinese selling more of their own smartphones is increasingly because their domestic manufacturers sell at cheaper prices, and most people just use WeChat and maybe one or two other standardized apps. This means that people can relatively easily switch between different phone operating systems. Given China's failing economy, while they might want iPhones, Chinese Consumers cannot buy them because they cost too much, so if they need to replace their own phones, they increasingly look to their own manufacturer's cheaper discount models to use instead.
yeah chinese economy are collapse from 20 years ago , and now they drop to number 2 economy in the world , i decades they will collapse even further to number 1 economic because US economy are bright and good with their massive debt and all their deficit ,also Dedollarisation
huawei mate 60 pro huawei pura 70 series cost more than an iphone, yank. all chinese folding phones cost more than an iphone. all other chinese flagships cost more than an iphone.
@@hink0027why are you so aggressive 😂. China is also struggling giving money to countries to get other nations into debts. China forced itself onto others because they need to safe their own economy as well. We just let them do that. But we are going towards world war 3 so this will not continue like this for much longer
@@apieceofcheesebackup3271 not in Europe though. Here iPhone is the most expensive
1300 dollars for phone is crazy.
Take that ring tone out it’s so triggering
The whole discourse around government regulating tech companies' monopolies through antitrust laws is so asinine, it's the *government* who gave these companies monopolies through the patent system!
Considering base model iphones cost like half the annual per capita income in my country no wonder its sales are falling
I believe they’re playing the long game. They want to make sure your next phone is an iPhone , even if that takes 14 years or whatever
Don't ...don't put full volume iPhone call noises...
I’ve had my iPhone 11 since the month it first came out. It’s the first iPhone I had that didn’t conk out about 2 years after I bought it. Now with everything costing so much, plus being older and not really so pressed to have the newest tech, I don’t plan on upgrading until I need to or there’s some big improvement in the new phone, which there hasn’t been for quite some time
People are finally starting to ge tired of the apple tax i think
iphones are too expensive. I used to have iphones and ipads, but I have switched xiaomi and huawei mainly due to the price.
