We live in Paraguay, and our recipe is for 5 litres of milk with 3 Kg of sugar, and a tablespoon of bicarb. It makes about 1 litre of dulce de leche.

Making it now, almost fully reduced, so excited! Every other recipe calls for condensed milk, which I don't have, so this is a life saver. Thank you!

Thank you! This is the best recipe instructional for this that I have found, by far! We have a milk cow on our homestead now and I have been looking for things to make with our beautiful milk. I first found the cheddar cheese video, which I made the other day. (Which requires another thank you as I have been nervous to branch out from soft cheeses and your simple recipe with awesome explanations gave me the confidence!) So today I made dulce de leche as per your excellent instructions and my husband about died of ecstasy 😂
I so appreciate you and look forward to exploring more of your videos now that I’m subscribed ❤️

Great video. As an Argentine, we put dulce de leche on EVERYTHING and now thanks to your instruction, I’m ready to stop giving nestle my money 😂 Would love to see a video of you guys making alfajores (Argentine/Peruvian sandwich cookie with dulce de leche in the middle). As a side, dulce de leche is pronounced phonetically: dool-say day lay-chay. Keep up the great work. Subbed.

Mmmm, those cookies sound so good! And fun to hear about dairy in other cultures! Thanks for watching 😊

We bake cookies from home in Paraguay, and the people's favourites are alfajores and pastafrola. We've just started our UA-cam recipe channel. Sabores Tia Ina.

Thank you so much for this recipe!
I have a lot of evaporated milk at home. Do you think it will work with this recipe instead of normal milk?

You’re welcome!! To be honest, I’ve never tested it so I’m not sure. If you try, let me know how it goes!

Love your tutorial. I just have a question why did you add baking soda to the recipe?
    Tks!

Good question! You could omit it but it helps prevent clumping and helps give it the golden brown color.

Organic cane sugar means literally nothing, it's still heavily processed and is nothing like actual cane sugar such as Raspadora, cane juice, or molasses.

Organic isn't the processing It's the method of growing which means they use non-toxic (to humans) pesticides like soap, olive oil or tomato juice spray
