We just came across your UA-cam channel, my husband and I lived on our hobby farmed for 25 years. Where we raised our children as well. They were the best years of our lives. It was a MARXIST education system from day one.

You can relate? Doubt it lmao! They are millionaires . . . She married Daniel Neeleman, the son of David Neeleman who is the founder of Azul, JetBlue and Breeze Airways (400 million net worth). With Daddy Neeleman's hundreds of millions backing them, they thought it would be fun to cosplay as homesteaders and started Ballerina Farms along with this UA-cam channel. I don't know where you're from, but when I was in middleschool, we took a field trip to this place called Meadowcroft Village, about 53 minutes west of Pittsburgh, Pa. It's was fascinating, but the point I'm trying to make is that for our lunch, us kids got to participate in making our lunch. Some kids helped make homemade biscuits, some help cook other things, but my job was to help churn butter with an old fashioned wood butter churn. Love watching videos like the one you've shared.

Thank you for sharing this with us so we could experience this! Your girls are very helpful and eager to help! So incredible! ❤
Will you please show us how you make your yogurt and mozzarella?! I love your humble, real, educational content. I just used this one and your milking the family cow one as homeschooling lessons for my children :)
This is an awesome video! Answered all of my questions about how to make butter and more, plus what a wonderful family. This is my first time watching one of your videos and I have to say, I do not understand some of the haters you guys get at all after watching this. The only thing I would say is either wash the spoon in between or give the kiddos a new spoon between dunks in the milk - our mouth bacteria makes food go off faster, so you don’t want to introduce it to the jar where it can grow.
I hope my son finds someone like that. Though I am a bit biased he is a genuinely good guy and a strong confident individual. Well built and good looking. He wants a place with some land in the countryside of Vermont and he has a better than 6 figure salary with great benefits. Any single ladies out there with interests like this young woman?
I used to do this with my kids at Thanksgiving… but they each had a tiny jar that they shook until there was a small butter ball. I also added salt. I used store-bought heavy whipping cream, but it was delicious on homemade bread.
A friend of mine put me onto your channel and I have to say how much I’m enjoying it. Your young family looks so happy and your children are experiencing so much more than city kids ever will experience. They are learning so many life skills at such a young age. Watching your girls help with making butter was just priceless. You and your husband are doing such a good service to your children teaching them the true meaning of life and being part of a family. On another note, have you considered getting a Braun mixer like the one Ruthann Zimmerman on UA-cam has? It’s larger and it’s different in how it mixes. It also has a cover so when you’re making butter, it doesn’t splatter everywhere. Anyway, just a thought.
Just a comment- your mixer is so noisy because the mixer shaft has slipped down over time and the whisk is hitting the bowl. There is a screw inside the neck of the mixer (when you lift up the mixer head, you can see the surface of the screw inside) that you can turn with a flat head screwdriver to raise or lower the mixer shaft. The mixer attachment should be high enough that it does not touch the bowl while mixing. Or I might be wrong.... but mine made the same noise before I researched it and fixed it.
What a beautiful family and you are a great mother. Ignore the negative haters. Love how you just keep on despite all the haters who have done nothing except Judge
I love this video. I asked for a Kilner butter churner for Christmas and got it. I take organic heavy cream from the store-, no dairy farmers near me, and churn a pound of fresh butter once a week. Before my little butter churn, I used a ball jar and shook it for 15 minutes and could make a 1/2 pound. Thanks for sharing how you do it. As always, I appreciate your videos 😊P.S. a pound of organic butter in WI is $8.00 and a pint of heavy cream is $4.00, so for us it's cheaper to make our own.
Thanks for sharing that because I was questioning it after she said that she does it because they have so much cream from their cow, but she didn't think it would pay if you had to buy the cream from the store. I look forward to making my own butter!
20 years ago, I had my kids making butter using a clean miracle whip jar. I went out to grandpa's milk room and skimmed off the cream floating on top of the milk in the holder tank. I filled the jar 3/4's full of cream. Tightened the lid really good and let the kids take turns shaking the jar. They loved it. After about 20 minutes you could see the lump of butter in the jar. There was a little butter milk left over. We removed it and added a little salt. It was so good on homemade bread ! ! !

I guarantee (from experience) that these are going to be such fond memories for them years in the future -- and they, most likely, might not even care to look back on the videos because their own personal experience will supercede...all that tactile and taste and just remembering how sweet the peaked cream was off the beater and sipping from the dipper...yeah...this video actually brings back memories for me 40-ish years ago; great job
I love all of the old school farm traditions you do. Keep them up! Did you grow up on a farm to learn those talents, or just when you had your farm / ranch? On our farm, after we churned the milk in the wooden churn and had butter and buttermilk, grandpa would add my grandma's famous cornbread, to a glass of fresh buttermilk, and call it "turkey soup".I still eat it today, but I find few people that understands, or drinks, good buttermilk. Not only does it taste great, but It can soothe a stomach ache, and calm most any food poisoning.

Oh honey ! We only see a little of what they do we don’t see the help they get , you have to give yourself credit because you’re doing it by yourself and no help , I understand you because I’m as well a mother for three little girls under 5 and have no friends and no family around
My kids and I made butter over the summer as a cooking experiment. We used store bought cream and farm fresh cream from our local farmers and we noted the differences in between them and we had sooo much fun doing it ❤ fresh cream butter came out more golden and creamy. We baked so many things, thank you for these videos 👍
Love watching you. I’ve learned so much. We buy raw milk from a local farmer and have been making butter, cheese, and yogurt, and it tastes amazing! Would love to have our own dairy cow one day.
Wow, first time watching a woman with real world skills very impressive when so many women don’t. Absolutely adorable kids look how happy they are. Look how their learning from their mom, a real world skill they’re not dependent upon a supermarket and some corporation to be able to put food on their table. Have to say I’m very impressed.
Kids are so calm and polite. Trying to help mom.❤
They're cute! I did notice the girl doing the pouring push Moms hand away when she tried switching on the mixer-I got annoyed haha, but Mom just looked up and moved on to the next...the issue of fast mixing splashes! I raised twins after divorcing when they were 2, and cannot recall if things like that would annoy me then. I might've reminded her not to push, and to go slow around electrical things/mixers..
You are such an amazing sweet mother.
You are so patient and loving to your kids and teaching them to help in the kitchen. Keep up your amazing life as you are all that a mother should be!!
Thank you for being a wonderful example of what a true mother should be! I love your videos! Keep them coming.
Omg! As a former ballerina, farm food fan, wife (hopefully a mom soon) I feel like I just found treasure on Internet (which I almost gave up). May the young girls of the nation be inspired by you!!!
God bless your beautiful family and your mission ❤️❤️❤️
It is so nice to enjoy watching a mom like you and your your family's principles, values and morals. It is wonderful to see wholesome families. As a former teacher, who struggled in a broken system, I am glad you home school your children. I started government schooling @ age 6 1/2 in 1954 in a one room schoolhouse. I taught for 11.1 years and in those 11.1 years, I only had one principled principal. I knew @ 6 1/2 that how THEY were teaching was wrong. I only had 2 wonderful years of teaching. It was a MARXIST education system from day one.
Such a ray of life, light, and hope in these bleak times. God bless y'all, your family, and all the staff!
I'm gonna be just like this one day😅
She looks like an amazing mother, she is so cute with her kids...
I love that you have the patience to teach your kids to cook. They will forever remember these moments with mom. I know. My mother let me helped her when I was a small kid and I love love love to bake and cook. It’s the memories with my mother 💓🙏🥹
Martha so cute little and mighty with her moving her big chair around so she can stay in the game and help be a part of whats going on 😊 ❤ reminds when I had to keep up with 3 older brothers hehe.
Thanks for keeping it real!! ⭐️ please don't think you have to put forth cooking videos without making a mess...we can all relate to you guys...too many polished unrealistic channels out there. Your realness is why we follow you in the first place 😊
...and thank you for explaining what speeds to use and why!
Time to make some buttah!!!
you know they have a lot of staf around them? talking bout "realistic"
This isn't a charming true to life story of 2 city slickers quitting their 9-5 to make an honest living operating a farm/ranch . . . This is quite literally an example of one of the odd things the rich do for fun - Pretending to be "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" hardworking Americans.
So you can relate to someone who bought a $2.75 million dollar farm? How much yours cost?
Thank you so much for this educational video❤, please continue with it and don't mind the haters😂 we love your channel 😊
@@Scythe1337Thank you for saving me the time, you said it perfectly. I would add that the Christian aesthetic is particularly sickening. Right-wing Evangelicals worship money and power while telling the poor to pray harder and keep voting against their own interests.

I hope you keep making these kinds of videos because I didn't even know how butter is made and finding out it's this simple! Made me realize there's still so much about life that I don't know.
Love your videos and your lovely family ~ from Philippines ♥️♥️♥️
That's how a parent should be!
Wonderful memories.
Back to butter!!!!!
I learnt to do it in a canning jar.
We boys took turns shaking the jar .
Wonderful day !!! Absolutely wholesome!.
Love you kitchen!
We had the old wood burning kind with the water boiler on the right side.
I remember making making butter with my kids by shaking pint cream containers. It was so much fun. I make butter now in my Bosch all the time. Love your videos! Your kids are precious.

I love how genuine and laid back your videos are! I also LOVE the aesthetics of your home. Such a dream!
All you need is a billionaire Father in law who owns JetBlue to afford the 35.000$ designer stove aesthetic 😂🤣😂
And no I am not hating on her, she is a hard worker but I think it’s important to remember that it's not the butter, farm nor the insta that pays for that kind of aesthetic, its their not so organic airline company
@4legs4paws55
You seem jealous with your comments on every thread of this video. Sounds like you are hating on her/them for being successful. I doubt they paid for their millions of subscribers on Instagram
@@jpara617 millions of subscribers on insta doesn’t translate in millions of real dollars. I don’t hate them and actually like what their are doing with their money - we have seen billionaires spend money worse
What I dislike is them being used to hate on single or working mums and LGBT families. And women in her comments beating themselves up because they not as perfect - not knowing that it’s the funds that make the difference
@@4legs4paws55it's all on them, why wanna compare yourself to someone else to feel better about yourself. @@sikhumbuzodlamini8418 please show me were I am trash talking them? I said repeatedly that I like what they are doing and we have seen billionaires spent their money worse Haven’t I ? What’s messed up is right wingers using them to hate on single mothers, working mothers and LGBT* families…
PS And as someone who lived on a proper dairy farm and knows the hardship first hand this might rub me the wrong way more than others
My Mom and I used to bake together when I was a kid. Then, she went on to be a business woman. This lady is both at once! Amazing.
Please keep making videos like this! This is so helpful for myself and my husband who are city folk but want to live the farm life! Appreciate your content :)
That was awesome! I’ve never been on a farm before to see how cows are milked, fed, etc, so it was really interesting to see how you make butter and where buttermilk comes from and how it’s made! Thank you for sharing this with us so we could experience this! Your girls are very helpful and eager to help! So incredible! ❤

Боже мой какая Вы умница, отличная хозяюшка. Ваши действия завораживают. ❤❤❤
You are a talented mom, I wish I had someone like you in my life. Please keep doing what you are doing. Also you have great kids !
lol 😂😂🤣🤣
I hope my son finds someone like that. Though I am a bit biased he is a genuinely good guy and a strong confident individual. Well built and good looking. He wants a place with some land in the countryside of Vermont and he has a better than 6 figure salary with great benefits. Any single ladies out there with interests like this young woman?
I used to do this with my kids at Thanksgiving… but they each had a tiny jar that they shook until there was a small butter ball. I also added salt. I used store-bought heavy whipping cream, but it was delicious on homemade bread.
Какая чудесная семья! Любви вам и мира ❤
How cute, i love the way you cook with your girls. A smell of peace in the kitchen ❤
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!! ran into this exact issue just now and this comment saved the day
What a beautiful family and you are a great mother.
Do you like your butter churner?????I was thinking of purchasing the larger one.
That was so fun! Kitchen aid makes a bowl guard that might help to keep some of the mess in the bowl!

yep, ive tried and from personal experience, a mik cow is the best way to go, i wish i could have one but municipalities in my areas prevent this. i used to make butter every few days and it was the best, eventually id love to move to a place where people can do what they need to survive. so much is lost on modern consumerism and regulation and it sucks .this video was so nice to see, simpler ways to do things and enjoying time spent with family.

What an excellent video!!! I've been making butter for years, but, I just LOVE watching your videos and the children.
