FAME (1982) Cast: THEN & NOW 2023, The cast is tragically old!!!
Fame is an American television series originally produced between January 7, 1982, and May 18, 1987, by Eilenna Productions in association with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Television and sponsored by Yamaha musical instruments, which are prominently showcased in the episodes. The show is based on the 1980 motion picture of the same name. Using a mixture of comedy, drama and music, it followed the lives of the students and faculty at the New York City High School for the Performing Arts, now known as the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.[1] Most interior scenes were filmed in Hollywood, California. In all seasons except the third, the show filmed several exterior scenes on location in New York City. - Розваги
Getting old is not tragic. It is simply part life. Tragic is dying young.
Yes! There is a click bait in the video too, this is a shame.
I agree! Aging is actually a privilege. Not everyone gets to do it and no one does it forever! Enjoy things while they last!
Yeah, I love it when some old actor passes away in their 90s in their million-dollar home tended by a 20-year-old hot nurse with a cigar and a scotch in hand and it is labeled "a tragic death."
Cynthia Gibb's now picture is a picture of Karen Carpenter
Yes, I caught that too!
Me too... totally threw me off
I did to. I wonder why they didn't have a current picture of her?
Lol, yeap!
😥😥Karen is the reason I sing and am an Alto. It broke my heart to learn how sick she was.
"the cast is tragically old"... well, more than 40 years have passed, half a lifetime. many of them are still good looking and in good shape, not tragically old
If they're supposed to be 'tragically old' (there's only a couple of weeks difference between Erica and I) there's no hope for us fans, as we're all around the same age as Valerie, Cynthia, Lee, Carlo, Erica and amazing Gene. Please think next time before you make such ridiculous statements!
for me the best dancing series made till now. Great actors, great songs and performers. I still have some vinyl of the show( my pride) I used to have a huge crush on Danny Amatullo lol! exciting , vibrant , emotional. great series.
Leroy was a legend
The cast is tragically old. Nasty way to put it.
What is tragic about growing old! Dyeing young is a tragedy.
Leroy was my favorite one & I am very saddened to hear about his passing. May he rest in peace 💔😪💔😪
My favorite too
Irene Cara played the original Coco Hernandez in the movie Fame, before the film converted into a tv series. Sadly, she too passed away in 2022.
@@rayva1 Till now I wasn't aware she had already passed away. 😥 Moreover, there's no explanation in Wikipedia why her musical career ostensibly ended in 2011. 4-5 years ago someone wrote online that she was living in New Port Richey with her family and was basically retired, selling stuff online and claiming she didn't need to work anymore and that she made more money being retired than she would if she were working. This may well be true, but artists ususally seem to act the opposite way, which is why it strikes me as surprising and odd.
That's amazing. Cynthia Gibb , in her old age, turned into Karen Carpenter, amazing.
The cast is tragically old? You have a problem
Why did I see the picture of the actor who played as Danny Amatullo sitting in a wheelchair?
At was scam to get you to look. I did the same.
It's a shameless click bait, soo sade they use that kind of thing.
Clickbait 😡
Damn…I was in love with Danny!
❤
OMG ME TOO! And I wanted to BE Doris.
So do I
He looks great!
love watching this show, when I was young..🥰
I read the comments section and I didn't want to pile on but DUDE, you have to redo this video, at least for the sake of your channel. Start with the thumbnail. It's horrible and extremely misleading. Not only are the inaccurate photo(s) deplorable but what's with cutting off people during mid-sentences during interviews? Makes no sense. Fix it !
I agree!
Everyone from fame were great role models that helped me in everyday life. I realized all you have to do is work at every dream you have in life. While enjoying the journey I followed their paths to happiness. Thankyou for the inspiration to succeed in everway possible. Follow all dreams and be happy in life.
That's not an older photo of Cynthia Gibb - that's Karen Carpenter, whom Gibb portrayed in a movie.
The non internet stars!!!!The real stars....I wish we were back at the 80s....Now we are living a living hell...
You missed A LOT of people that was on that show!! Or were you just doing some of them?!?! You missed- Nia peeples- Nicole Chapman, Janet Jackson- Cleo Hewitt, Michael Thomas- Mr. Crandall, Morgan Stevens- Daivd Reardon, Jesse Berrego- Jesse Valesquez, Page Hannah- Kate Riley, and Ken Swofford- Quentin Morloch. You need to do a #2 and include them as well!! You want to know who my favorite was on the show- Gene Anothony Ray- Leroy Johnson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cried when he died for real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got to meet him when the cast of Fame came here to Denver, Colorado for a concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was a wonderful singer, dancer and actor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At the very least, how did they not include Janet Jackson, who to me is the most well-known of your list. I also think Ken Swofford deserved a mention, he's one of those character actors who was in everything and has hundreds of TV and film credits. He played 11 different characters just on Gunsmoke.
They left out Ken Swafford (Morloch) 85, who passed away in 2018. Carrie Hamilton (Regie Higgins) 41, died in 2001. Lori Singer (Julie Miller) 65. Nia Peeples (Nicole Chapman) 61, Jesse Borrego (Jesse Velasquez, 60, Morgan Stevens (David Reardon - drama) 71, passed away in 2022, Eric Pierpoint (Paul Seger - drama teacher) 72. Elisa Heinsohn (Jillian Beckett) 60. Loretta Chandler (Dusty Tyler) 60. Michael DeLorenzo (Michael ) 63. They would need part 2 of this video.
Janet Jackson who played Cleo is 53 now
Paul McCrane - Montgomery McNeil
Thank you for sharing this video. FAME had graced my childhood days with lots of fond memories.
Danny was my favourite characeter.
great series thank you to everyone, we love watching this show, too exciting & emotional.
From Algeria
Great show
Oh wow I was 9 when the film came out loved it 😊
Great video. Loved the show.
Just loved the show so much glad have shows on dvd
It would be nice if all your information was verified & correct!!!
Apparently Albert Hague played Lydia Grant 🙄
😂
Loved this show growing up one of my favourite s x
Fame was a great show I ❤ to watch the show the cast was great and danced great!
Tragically old? Seriously. Jeez.
If they’re alive, it’s not tragic
I think the most tearful part was Mr Crandell's goodbye and seeing them all sing starmaker but Bruno was always my favourite
I was a Doris fan. Especially her vocals.
"...tragically old!!!" ??? wow is it a tragic to get old ... Really ?? Wow
Why was Bruno speaking a completely different language? When did Cynthia become Karen Carpenter? Plus they all aged quite well ... nothing tragic about anything other than your lack of research and editing skills.
Yeah, absolute CRAP!
Leroy won’t be able to score crack anymore because he’s dead.. if you’re into hitting the pipe, then that’s kind of tragic…
Oh ~ they all aged gracefully. No botox. No plastic surgery.
Please put the right names with the pictures
It’s Toluca Lake, California. Great video.
They look fabulous ☺️
Tragically researched & edited video.
Debbie Allen has aged well.
you showed a photo of karen carpenter as an old ily laird!!!
The passing of Gene Anthony Ray he lived a tragic life he was strung out on CRACK in Harlem before he died. Miss him I give my condolences to his family N friends may he R.I.P. 😢😢😢
You don't know the difference between Cynthia Gibbs and the late great Karen Carpenter?
The actress Cynthia Gibb actually portrayed Karen Carpenter in a 1989 movie about The Carpenters.
lol aging isn't a tragedy,, it's tragic when someone doesn't get to age
This is true, and a privilege denied to so many🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
What’s the point of the thumbnail clickbate?? Unnecessary.
Turned it off when you couldn't even put proper pictures with names. When was Karen Carpenter on Fame? You can't do better homework than that, what's to say what else you got wrong?
He got everything wrong. It's amazing how YT will allow such garbage!
@@arunphillips6977 There are so many out there talking about how a celebrity just died only they are alive and well. How do they allow that?
Plus Bruno speaking French? Probably never even watched one episode ! And what is up with the intro? He says something about come and pull up a stool and sit by the campfire 😂😂
Again, we have these videos with incorrect info, the wrong pics attached, and leaving off names of the pivotal actors in the series.
If this is someone's thesis project or book report, they should get an "F".
Ok my wife had the biggest crush on Carlo Imperato aka Danny I never watched the show until I was home sick with flu and my wife had day off as it was a Sunday and she never works Sunday she a church girl anyways they had the show on reruns on a cable channel at time so I got to watch and I actually enjoyed
What a despicable clickbait picture! Thankfully it seems untrue. I'm surprised no one else seems to have noticed the trick.
shameful thumbnail
Why do you have Albert Hague as playing Lydia Grant on the Debbie Allen section?
I used to have crush with some guys on that show.my puberty was just around the corner
Picture of Cynthia Gibb then is correct but the now picture is Karen Carpenter
I cried when Nicole died, Nicole and Jessie were my favorites...sad not to see them on here.
This is simply NOT CORRECT information 👎
Bruh, you put a picture of Karen Carpenter on there for Holly's character. You messed up Debbie Allen's name, too.
Carlo Imperato is the best!❤❤
Uhm that current photo isn't Holly Laird. That's Karen Carpenter, sir.
The current picture of Cynthia Gibb is Karen Carpenter. I just saw this exact picture online, and it is Karen Carpenter.
Tragically old? I think getting old is the opposite of tragic considering death is only alternative.
Your picture of Cynthis Gibb now is actually a picture of Karen Carpenter who died decades ago.
I was 13 years old 1982
That wasn't Cynthia Gibb at 59. That was Karen Carpenter...
I liked the show, but the movie was so much better. Loved Irene Cara as Coco.
6.28 that's Karen Carpenter NOT Cynthia Gibb !!!
They used Karen Carpenter picture as the now picture for cynthia Gibb
Not all of them were the original actors. They were the actors on the last season
Your now picture for Cynthia Gibb is actually Karen Carpenter.
I thought Danny was really Ozzy Osbourne
"Tragically old" is a fool's statement from someone who suspects they are not using their time wisely. The only thing that is "old" by definition is time itself, everything else is in a process of change.
find before and after pics and then read wikipedia. yup. you put so much effort into this video. wow I wonder how your found the time and strength to make such a video. great job. on the wikipedia plagiarism and the pics you never took or own. all so that you could save me time not to check each actor individually. your service in saving me time is commendable . I think you should title your channel as. " ill save you time " because at this point you owe me 6:28 min of my life back
You're more foreign than my car.
Leroy❤
That is not Cynthia Gibb.
The pic you posted was Karen Carpenter
"Living out the life..."
The Cynthia Gibb picture now is Karen Carpenter!!
Of course they are old! That’s how time works.😂😂😂 to call it tragic is quite rude.
Ok is it just me ? as the black and white pic that was beside the young Cynthia Gibb pic umm that im almost certain wasn't Cynthia bit Karon Carpenter.
Albert haugue instead of Debbie Allen. Oops
Why does Carlo Imperato have no legs in the placeholder.
That's Karen Carpenter!
dude, you put Karen Carpenter's picture up for Cynthia Gibb now. COME ON .. Amateur mistake. With this many viewers, you need to step up your game.
Did you really put up Karen Carpenter’s pic for Cynthia Gibb? Haaaaaa!!! This is why UA-cam “journalists” are not reliable sources. SMH 🤦♀️😂😂😂😊
That recent picture of Cynthia Gibb is not her...just FYI
If i'm not mistaken is that the photo of the late Karen Carpenter?
AND it's Holly LAIRD (Layrd) not "Lard" !
This is a knowing scam. The thumbail purporting to be Imperato is not. Don't give this video a click. Block the "creator" for bad faith.
Cynthia Gibb = that "now picture" was a picture of Karen Carpenter.
He didn’t “pass away” he died , we all will do it ,
He passed the pipe..
ok the one with Cynthia Gibb showed a photo of Karen Carpenter at the 59 age photo. This is wrong. She did portray Karen Carpenter in a movie but that wasn't her photo.
5:01 I never realized that Karen Carpenter was on Fame.
lmfao
How you miss Irena Cara?
You missed Loni Anderson, the one who played cello!!
You mean Lori Singer?
Tragically old! 😂😂😂
Change immediately the picture of Carlo Imperato on the wheelchair (i mean the picture that we see at the beginning of the video) it's a fake!!!!!!
How is it tragic? There’s nothing tragic about aging. Everyone gets old, and you will too, in a few decades.
The older photo of Cynthia Gibb is actually Karen Carpenter (The Carpenters) a singer who died in 1982.
We all no Leroy suffered from drugs but u could of at least found a better pic of him...smh
Where was Coco/Irene Cara?
She was in the movie that inspired the tv series…. :)
Talk about clickbait thumbnail!
Next time do your homework..You put a picture of the late Karen Carpenter as an older Cynthia Gibb. Also, you missed many of the key characters..
