    Can you boil in the water if you dont have a steamer?

      You can but place it more in a simmer not boil. Make sure you drain and pat dry completely or you will have some issues when frying!

      It depends on the size of the chicken! It took me 25min for a 5lbs bird!

    I love the steaming before deep frying technique. Do you think it will come out well if I air fry instead of deep frying?

    Would the chicken be dry if you steam it before frying?

      You can pat it dry with a paper towel and like it rest the refrigerator, so it can dry out!

      It’s the most common fast food in Guyana! Chinese Food! It’s the style of cooking that’s Chinese, but it’s found in Guyana.

      Plus, chinese are an ethic group in guyana. Our chinese food tends to be more spicy and has more flavor than your regular american chinese. It caters more to the taste of West Indians.

      Makes perfect sense, actually.
      The steaming process cut down on the time in hot oil, hence a juicier meat than cooking raw chicken in old. Duh!!!
