We’ll, I mixed up half a batch of these rolls today. As mentioned in another comment I am Scottish and often make Scottish morning rolls. Hubby and I had them for our tea tonight and he’s very fussy on his bread and rolls! He said that was the best recipe yet. Quite a compliment coming from him Bincy. Can I point out though in the link for the recipe that it says to bake at 240 f. Instead of centigrade just incase anyone has a failure n the baking process f them, and it should always be lard or veg hard fat as butter alters their texture. This is definitely my go-to recipe now. You’ve outdone yourself ❤❤

I made these and they were delicious. I made them bigger and flatter (we call them barm cakes) and they were perfect. Would they turn out good if I used half whole wheat flour? Thank you for all your videos.

I have followed many recipes for whole wheat bread but none of them were very good. Your recipe is the best. Thanks again.
Thank you for another great recipe. I've just looked at it on your website and noticed that you have the baking temp set at 240F instead of 240C. You may want to correct that 😁

Hi Doris, yes you can prepare the dough using stand mixer. Just knead the dough in speed 1 or 2 for 5 minutes or until it forms a homogeneous dough .Then you can do the rest of the steps as in the video.👍💕

Hi Bincy! Another awesome recipe. I have a question- will they get that deep brown colour even without an egg wash or milk wash?
Hi Rachita ,yes they will.We bake these rolls at a high baking temperature and the top of rolls will turn deep golden by around 13-14 minutes.
