I did this trip in February this year and have booked for next year. I loved it! We were advised not to bring candy as the kids have problems with bad teeth, they appreciated stickers and pencils and I took stuff and donated to the teacher at the school. It was an amazing experience, didn’t want to get off the boat at the end!
What it would have been like to see it 150 years ago! Laos is currently building a dam that we passed on our second day. It will be interesting to see how and if it changes things on the Mekong.
