@@Mike_to_the_kI’ve seen stock cars bottom out in many different place, the US just thinks everyone drives a lifted truck or semi everywhere we go, I always thought engineers and construction site coordinators are actually kinda morons sometimes, for example uneven roads that feel like your going a speed bump during construction….sure my car is lowered it’d be my fault if my bumper split in the road, but corvettes are pretty low….lower then my car actually so if they damage something…who’s at fault? There’s just no reason for designing/leaving things the way they do here, most of Japan roads are flat, and Japan in NOT a flat place yet they work around it, so the US has 0 excuse especially Florida 🤦🏽♂️

As someone who’s had stock suspension, coilovers and bags, I can say the coilovers hurt on some roads whereas the bags do not hurt at all. That being said, I’ve never had a coilover or stock strut straight up blow itself out to a degree where a car was undrivable, I have had that happen with bags though, and it really, really sucks when it happens a good distance away from home.
@@bleachstain9785you have so much range of adjustment with coilovers (at least if some properly nice ones are made for your car)...bags are for sure more comfortable but I've never understood people saying coilovers hurt, they can be jolting (if you can call it that) but it shouldn't hurt.
@@MrSirGiuseppe depends on the car. Some cars have enough weight to not have their ride quality be bothered too much by coilovers. But some really small and lightweight cars (Miata, del sol, mr2, etc), can literally hurt your back something fierce with coilovers on them if you hit the right kind of bumps/dips/etc and have racing seat in it.

Here’s a story when my uncle was driving a 1993 Nissan r33 gtst it was just sprayed white with a gtr front bumper and he was coming up a curb and destroyed the bumper and paint the bumper smashed into 3 pieces it was covered in zip ties on the front bumper 😂but my dad fixed it up and selled it.
It's frustrating when it's so easily avoidable. #1 Don't lower your street car that much. There's a reason why there's a minimum ground clearance. #2 Hit the driveway at a 45°+ angle. It won't scrape. This person doesn't know how to drive their own car.
That's why I drive a Vauxhall corsa 1.2, never have any problems like that. Beside my highly modified corsa is pushing out 523 bhp at the wheels, 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, top speed of just under 190 mph, so I don't need any other car .

Carbon fiber lip is the issue, someone's gotta cut that bumper angle & fit the lip angled upwards for things like this.
