I enjoyed the transparency of the couples. Some of my biggest take aways as I reflect on the entire message is summed up as you stated Laterras: couples need to give each other grace to grow. It’s important to be self aware. Be willing to be accountable to one another and the process. Be willing to do the work to continue to grow together. Somethings will not be uncovered to be fixed until couples come together. Iron sharpens iron. Always understand that love is a choice and Christ loves us when we are good and bad. ❤
Preach Doc!...OMG, I had to update my comment and just give a huge kudos to both of these couples. They are well-spoken, articulate, and beautiful couples who provided great insight into their relationships and were candid and on-point. Thank you! Great interview and great participants as always.
It was indeed a privilege to be part of the team and the event planner for this awesome event. And to work with such great Bermudian panelists. I applaud Charmaine Tucker and her vision to bring such a provocative podcast to Bermuda.
Mr. Lateress, so happy you are moving around different black cultures, there are so many. People want to pool us together and want us to act the same, do the same thing, think the same but no, it cannot be. It is so beautiful, the variations, the culture, music, dialects, and language. Maybe you want to venture out the the Pacific Ocean and one day.(Fiji, Solomon Islands, Australia etc).
I enjoyed the topic of conversation. Marriage is a beautiful thing with lots of ups and downs. As long as you choose each other every single day, it is so worth it.
Laterras... 😂 "he just gave you a ring and told you to put it on"?... I'm done. I love your sense of humor and timing... I'm coming along on your journey... Because it's MINE to... Feel myself growing with every episode... Loving this
Such a great conversation! I absolutely can relate to the Runner. Running stopped being a sport I was good at when it became a lifestyle. I stopped running, now I just walk fast. 😂 I am looking forward to Part 2. 💜
The fact that she wed without a custimary proposal or traditional wedding is breathtaking and a true testament of her love for her husband and their marriage. So many people get caught up on the anesthetics of showing off and spending a lot of money, that the vows get lost in reality. Latterrus you have the best humor and it helps everyone be settled and more willing to be transparent. I received so many confirmations concerning dispelling upbringing has nothing to do with the handling of future relationships. It has everything to do with how or if we resolve the tough topics or have true staying power. While healing from past traumas and entering a marriage with the willingness to be receptive of learning and acceptance of our partner differences, the true test of healing will be determined once the two mesh. Beautiful episode.
Wow! Latteras! You were in my country! I love it! My permanent residency is CT. Felt so good to know you brought your passion to my island . Apologies for the rain😊❤❤
One thing I loved about this episode is when the couples talked about their upbringing… even as a 53 year old woman, this causes me to think back and reflect on my own conflict resolution styles etc… once again, Laterras you hit the ball out the park with the nuggets in this episode. ❤️
I have enjoyed the input of the panelists. So much wisdom, so much authentic. The couples are so real, and transparent. I have drawn so much wisdom and I got to relisten again and take some notes. God bless the couples. LT, you bless me. I am watching from Nairobi Kenya 🇰🇪
Love does not have a reason is true. Love is a decision to love someone no matter what. When you really love someone you just do it. Read my words carefully love is not just a feeling....thats where most folks fall short......their feeling change and then it over.
I can’t believe you were in my home country and I didn’t realize in time to get to go!! So grateful for you and sharing your message with our community 🇧🇲♥️✨
Right on time! “To thy own self be true” Getting to know yourself BEFORE making a commitment into another relationship. I spoke about this on my live last night, while on a date with myself.❤ I like the phrase “Having an intense fellowship”😂
🤣Say it for the ones in the back. You are a whole therapist and you had 2 failed marriages. I am laid out. The therapist had a good come back🤣I was a slow learning. You have to have fun with it.
Enjoyed this. Couples need to give one another the space needed to grow. We need to give each other grace. I'm a fixer also but I'm also a runner. If you are not listening or taking my advice, I'm running.... For the life of me, I don't know why people keep doing the same thing but expecting different results🤷🏾♀️
Thank you for the amazing ministry you and your team are doing to promote healthy relationships through tranceparency. If I may, I just miss one aspect that you always used to do with your guest when you 1st started. You used to always end with prayer. When 2 or more are gathered in his name there he will be also. With all of us touching and agreeing around the world..... God is able!!!! May the Lord continue to bless your ministry.
Growing up being raised by single Mum and seeing abuse in marriages with my own eyes made me fear marriage 110%,learnt whose me and whose iam, it's a struggle at times triggers ,Romans 8v28, Awesome episode as always thanks 💚 Zambia 🇿🇲.

I wish we would look more to the Bible for God’s laws when choosing a mate. Unfortunately, we have strayed so far away, that we are making up things as we go. The Bible is still right.😢

The church has to come out of the cultural idolatry. Marriage is not our fantasy. It's God's poetry that He has used to illustrate His love for us.
Enjoyed this. Couples need to give one another the space needed to grow. We need to give each other grace.

Myles Munroe said it first and it still holds true today. Love is a choice and we have to choose it even when they stop doing things we like.
