I don’t know why I felt like I had to hear it more than once 🤷🏽♀️. What a fool am I 🤦🏽♀️ But yeah, we’re divorcing after 15 years. Every chic he got caught with was not Black let’s just say.
This interview has definitely given me a different perspective on the EPIC proposal this young man did at the Adele concert. I am trying to find the "natural" connection here. Although it is being presented in a semi-comedic way, I am concerned for them. Everyone is trying to be nice in the comments but I can also tell they are equally concerned for the success of this relationship. I will join everyone in praying for God's best for these beautiful individuals.
The proposal was Epic and I wanted to know more about this couple. She is the leader and I think he is okay with her being the leader. However, I do have a problem with women who wait for men that have demonstrated they are not into you. Ashely lived with this man for 5 years and without marriage and she is now 33 years old wanting children. That wait was long, but praise God for the fame of the proposal and God Bless them.
I sincerely applaud and admire the fiancé (the guy) for having the maturity to wait until he was mentally ready before proposing. Figuring himself out is such a mature and manly thing to do before committing your life to a person. I pray they have the best marriage by Gods grace. She’s hilariously crazy and beautiful and there’s something about her that I love. I’ll be praying for this couple and I wish you all the best..
It was difficult to watch. I cringed for most of it because she pursued him so hard. But if she's okay and doesn't feel like she compromised herself then great. I love black love and marriage and I truly hope they endure until death parts them.
Laterras is really trying to find a nugget out of this strange convo. But this is just a snippet of their life so there must be more than meets the eye
Ok so i came to the comments to see if I was the only person to recognize this. She wore him down lol. No shade to them because there’s more to their relationship, but kind of have to wonder if he settled or just got comfortable? I love her honesty though.
As a woman with goals to have children I understand her wanting to be married by a certain age, but I can definitely see how she probably was pressing him to marry her. In most of the couples that have been presented on the podcast, the men have been intentional about pursuing their wives, and intentional about knowing they wanted to propose. She seems to leading and directing the courtship up to the proposal. I pray that they are in Couseling for at least six months before the wedding. God bless them and their union.
Same sentiments, then I read the comments confirming what's obvious! A lot of work needs to be done on both- counselling & feminine prowess for her too
I think he left it to chance when he sent his video to be selected. He is still not ready to get married. And i think she has doubts But she wants him to be the right person. She doesn't want to start over. The funny thing about life is that you could be with someone for years and you still dont fit. And you can just talk to someone for months and realize it was meant to be.
I don’t think any of us would tell our own daughter to continue dealing with a man who tells you he doesn’t want to be with them, but somehow this is cute??? She also contradicted herself! In one breath she says “you can’t force a man” but in the next she says he had no choice to be with her wether he liked it or not??? She also says she’s a “queen” but wouldn’t allow herself to be pursued like one??
'We've got to show our love the way the person needs it'... that sums up this episode. He needed to be loved this way, needed someone to prove they wanted him and he prayed for it. And our Father answers. 🙏🏽 Thank you for keeping it Lit, no airbrushing allowed here🙌🏾 many blessings for your upcoming union ❤
She highly passionate and doesn't like men calling their girlfriend's "wifey" but she has been literally living with a man (FOR YEARS) doing "wifey" duties on a girlfriend level...now engaged level. THE IRONY...and they STILL don't have a wedding date set. She's still waiting. SMH The proposal was better...this interview and actually hearing them discuss their relationship...is something else.
Although this has nothing to do with me. I pray this couple has a great marriage. But I wish I knew nothing pass the Adele special because this gives me great pause and concern.🙏🏾
@@keishagulley8076 EXACTLY what I was thinking. I wish I didn't know ANYTHING pass the Adele event...everything after that should give everyone pause. This interview is the only one I've seen since the engagement...I will not watch another one. I was excited to see them on here...now I'm just like 👀 👀 👀 👀
@@rd4469 Bc now I am like Lord I don't think this is going to work😒🙄😓 and I don't want to know anything else. But I went to their individual Instagram pages and was like nope Keisha. Stay out of that. Then when she said she was going to change her name on the papers and the passport 🙄 👀 I am aggressive and that works in my past career military. But not in relationships. I hope it works but this video is giving something else. But I really do want to be wrong.
This was a great interview, I loved the honesty & transparency of both. I realize everyone’s love story is unique. This works for them and it appears they have an understanding of one another, they have a mutual respect for how each is wired and I think it was brilliant to have them on the podcast. These are real relationships issues and conversations. I believe they will last as long as they remain honest & transparent with one another. It doesn’t matter what everyone else likes or dislikes. They came to share their story and I thought it was humorous, brave and brutally honest. I pray all the best for the couple & this show. Keep giving us REAL life love stories, My Future Wifey and every guest on here is helping me. ❤️
Lol...I have so much to say. But, I'll leave it at this- anytime a woman (who doesn't know her worth and understand she's chosen by God), will always wait to be chosen no matter the length of time. And you should have a standard of how long you'll wait and your intentions in dating. It should be for marriage if you're a Christian. If you do it by the Book- the blueprint God gave us, the way you approach and do things should be different than the world. Geesh!
You wrote: "the way you approach and do things should be different than the world. Geesh!" But I never heard them say they were Christians so.... She was smart enough not to have a bunch of kids by him. She is building a whole brand (vegan chef) & working on her career. A lot of women who wait like she did, it doesn't work out the way it did for her so I'm just glad it worked out for her. Too late for shoulda, woulda, coulda.
@@sendit2dede I didn't say or imply that anything was guaranteed. That's what you said. Again, if you're a Christian your approach and perspective should be different than the world.
I see negative comments about Ashleigh but she actually brought another side out of him and it was positive. Everyone’s story will not be the same and she is definitely organic. ❤️
Am I the only person who picked up on his rebellion in asking her to marry him….and ma’am y’all already married if we go by the word of God..and you don’t like the word wifey but you lived with him for 5 years and y’all have been together for 9??? A lot of contradictions here..
He married an aggressive "mother-wife": She was a dictator-mother before becoming his wife. You know, when a kid tells his parent "NO!" Parent repeatedly reminds kid, "You DON'T have a choice!" Kid rebels in every way... hoping parent will go away. Parent stands her ground, kid finally runs out of fight-steam and realizes he can't win... to the extension of FORCED surrender, which is often temporal because anything manipulated/forced lacks the foundation to last! Not saying 'he's' a kid; I am saying, he ALLOWED her to HANDLE him like one; the 'handling' will only get worse during the marriage, without therapy! Hope it works out... Time will tell**
And sometimes the child in the relationship never grows up because they have been programmed to accept such treatment very early by the dominant partner.
@@atlantasfaithsmom Your utilization of "give in" confirms my point: A man (or woman) should never be coerced/bullied into doing anything. When a man questions (or attacks) his relationship by 'rebelling', it's best to let him go because most men never realize their love (or lack thereof) for a woman until they've lost her: If he is allowed to go and doesn't come back, it wasn't meant to be. Of note, most men don't need permission to leave, they simply leave.
Exactly!!! 🚩🚩🚩🚩 I don’t like this. I cried during that proposal but I am not sold on this. He is not that in to get and it shows! 9 years??? Heck to the NO 😑 I truly hope she begins to see her true worth because this isn’t it.
Sweet couple & humorous! I think this couple needs to watch the Red Flags episode.🤣🤦🏾♀️God helped Laterras steer the conversation back though & he gave him what to say to them.🙂
The time-capsule seeds! Whew. Full circle. 🙌🏽 I feel like there's more to his story we didn't hear to make any judgement on her. When he said he told his Father he's going to need a woman to lead him into marriage he manifested her. She's outspoken true, but he did stand his ground and waited until he knew he was ready! Beautiful, though different than what you normally show us, but God guides all of your guests so I know there's something here He wanted us to see! I pray God envelopes this union the day they take their vows before Him! Thank you for this.
I really loved what she said, that they have a way of resolving their arguments in a healthy manner, that's beautiful, keep that up🙂 I hope this Word will reach them: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."🌸
This is everything they tell women not to do in a relationship in order to get married 🤣 I do wonder though, if she had walked away after 2 years, if he would have gone to find her when he was ready to get married? She's really funny!!! I hope she gets to explore where that gift can take her.
@@susandodson1234 he's really handsome and seems very down to earth. I think he'd be able to have his pick at any woman. One thing I really liked is she never wavered from her conviction to get married before starting a family.
Man.. I usually REALLY enjoy the show. 🤦🏽♀️ But.... No ma'am. Overbearing much??? Pushy much?? Annoying much?? MasculineA much?? Lord have mercy. I feel for him. And then she TOTALLY contradicts herself. 🗣Dont call me wifey until I'm actually you wifeY. BUT we can live together for 5 yrs like I'm your wifeY. LOL. This show was much... 🤦🏽♀️
EXACTLY!!!!!! Talking about we doing this right...no ma'am...you just doing this...period. My heart goes out to the chilled guy..she is a lot. She ready for marriage and babies...HE IS NOT. She will resent him and she is going to make his life miserable...yikes
This interview was extremely troubling for me and had to stop it at 32 minutes because I am so disgusted with what this woman was saying. Her approach was manipulative and a form of desperation. Dating for me has an expiration of 1-2 years which is plenty time for a man to decide to go or marry. He doesn't need to be forced. I didn't find this amusing at all. Ladies please go into dating with standards and if he doesn't align to it then move forward.
Yeah, I stopped at 37 min. I couldn't take it anymore. It was really vexing my spirit. It truly revealed who displayed masculinity and that's not a good look. But hey, people do what works for them.
Right!!! l know I am late to the party but eventhough she was entertaining l had to stop watching this Video also because she seemed like she was just dragging him along. Telling him that they are together, telling him to dress like her, telling him she will take his name. 😲🤷🏾♀️🙎🏾♀️ She is willingly signing up for this.
The fact that she knew what she wanted is good. The fact that he was still trying to figure it out is good. The fact that they had the many conversations that needed to be had is great. They stuck it out through thick n thin and that I applaud. Congrats to them both.
I would have loved to hear more of his story from HIM rather than her. She didn’t give him a chance to fully answer the questions himself 🙄. Wish them all the best!
I agree. She’s totally over bearing and everything just seems forced. If I have to chase a man, he’s not for me. I had second-hand embarrassment for her just listening. He seems so nonchalance about her and she's so giddy
I love Dear Future Wifey but I don't like the idea of waiting around for 8-9 years while someone "figures it out". I'll gracefully give you a forehead kiss and loose you so that you can witness me living my best life. The elders say that whatever you do to get him or her you have to continue to do to keep him or her. I can't picture chasing after a man for the rest of my life. I wish them the best though.
Wow! What a way to shake up the conversation on waiting. Each relationship has its own pace. I’m glad to see they lovingly and patiently found a pace that works for them. I admire Ashleigh’s honesty about her expectations and how she expressed her feelings about waiting past a point where she would be at risk when starting a family. I appreciate Q’s honesty about not wanting it to be anyone’s decision to propose but his own and wanting to know who he was first. I respect their total honesty with one another. Much love and many blessings to this couple. Great discussion Mr. Whitfield!
OH WOW. When she said Adele came out, it dawned on me that I had watched that proposal and balled my eyes out. Didn't know this was the couple. Blame it on the tears in my eyes. Lol. Wish them the best. May God cover them. And great to see you back Laterras. Hope you enjoyed your time off!!!!! Thanks!
Loved this episode. Blessings to them. I found it tho hard to swallow that he said out of his mouth and showed her in so many ways he didn’t want her. I’m saying this because I was in the same situation. When a dude says I don’t want you and shows you. Believe him. I guess they evolved. Again best of luck to them.
First I want to say is that segment at the end explaining Kingdom Royale was beautiful. Definitely will be donating. I'm so looking forward to it coming to past soon for you & the boys who need it. Secondly, all I know is a man don't propose to you in front of Adele & for millions to see if he doesn't have very strong feelings for you. Some of our black men (really it's alot) are confused & need major direction to balance them out; sometimes that direction comes in the form of a woman.
Yeah, it’s ok to humble yourself sometimes, & allow the man to be himself. For example, he should have been able to propose to her in the manner that would suit him & her. She may feel that she has to be overly strong & assertive since she was raised by her single mother😇Best wishes to them🍀🎊
@@bamarealist na she feels the need to be overly persuasive and pushy because this man really didn’t want her. And yes, men will marry you and not really want to. I hope they make it. She is crazy about her. He is too blah about her
Wow! He sound like he still wasn’t ready and she puts words in his mouth as if he is forced to say or feel. No ma’am. Girlfriends should do wifey duties? This was extensive.. hopefully it’s what he wants to do in the end and not feel forced to make decisions..
Yikes! 😬I was really hesitant to write about this interview because I don't want to be negative but this is really concerning. This interview was lacking the depth, introspection and substance of the other episodes. I'm thinking it's because God is not being honored here and the couple are not submitted to the Lord. Wow, it makes a BIG difference. I didn't find it funny; it was very uncomfortable to watch. I pray they will each enter into a relationship with the Lord individually and allow Him to heal them and lead their lives. I wish them the best.
Wow. Girllll.. I saw less than 20 seconds of it.. watching his body language and I immediately picked up on something here. Unfortunately… their dynamic doesn’t seem healthy.. or well. Resentment seems like it will grow
I have to agree with you… I was listening to it while at work and I just kept saying… wow… I am not here to judge but this relationship seems forced and it does not take 9 years for a guy to know if they wanna marry you! I have been on edge the entire episode!!!
As I watch this show, it’s seems likes she is emotionally and mentally drained to get tot his place. You can feel the pressure on him through her in this interview in so many ways!! She is demanding and to me… is this something the man really wants to do?? The expressions on his face shows the pressure he was under. It’s like pressured- fatal attraction on her part… if a man doesn’t natural makes those decision, loves it is unsure 😐 felt like he just didn’t know!!! She interrupts a lot- is she the voice or him??
Ms. G I'm glad I wasn't the only one feeling like this. I kept saying I hope his proposal was not because of the pressure she was putting on him. She's funny with a great personality, but yes she seems to be the head of their relationship so I know she will lead the marriage too. Prayers for them and their future together. 🙏🏾
I’m 5 minutes in and feel what your saying. I think Laterrus needs to go back to interviewing people he knows and not hot topics. This couple should pursue counseling if they haven’t already.
@@whitney7063 Now I was thinking the same thing! Lateriuas I’m sure I spelled his name wrong, saw God in it. But they didn’t speak of anything spiritual or did I miss it.?🤔
I've been binding this channel for some weeks now and this is the first episode I couldn't get thru...that says alot. It hits different when God isn't in the mix. All the best to this couple.
I am a wine🍷 person... In this case, if he were my son, I'd have to take 5 shots of HARD LIQUOR (Crown Royal Black 😂) to sit and listen to this ... let alone refrain from snatchin' him and her up!!
Some kids pay parents back for unwanted protection/discipline when they were minors by making reckless decisions as adults, knowing we (out of respect for their adult decisions) can do little to nothing about it. I don't have said parental issues yet (and PRAY I never will), but I THANK GOD I'm a Prayer Warrior for when/if it should happen! 💯
I always wanted to know their story after the I’ve been your girl friend for so long comment. And here we have it. 😬 She’s doing more of the talking, she’s more into him than he is her, forcing a man to marry you will never work. I like her personality, she’s hilarious, but I’m not sure if she knows her worth as a woman. At the same time he gave her all the signs of I don’t want to and I’m not ready for that. Those are all red flags. I understand & respect the fact that he was trying to figure out what marriage is to him and what it looks like for him. However I would have had to let him go. Because at the end of the day if it’s meant to be it will be. My grandpa told me it doesn’t take a man long to decide if he wants Marry a woman. I rather be single and wait long than to marry wrong 🤷🏽♀️ God is not the Arthur of confusion. And his word also says He who finds a wife finds a good thing & obtains favor from the lord. Not she who finds a husband. Wishing both of them the best though.
@@noirefit5954 She who finds a husband usually ends in bitter divorce. 😭😭😭😭 Unfortunately, these types of women think they are being strong in defining what they want....unfortunately.
This was a little hard to watch there seemed to be a bit of a disconnect but I appreciate their honesty and transparency, I pray they have a happy healthy marriage!!
This sounds so unhealthy. “Trained him up well?” “Train up a child in the way he should go.” He’s not a child though 😮 Wait, what??? God wasn’t referring to a grown man; he was referencing children, literal children.
When I saw the proposal I was not impressed because it felt uncomfortable to watch. After watching this interview, I now know why. I will just say what others call compromise people with wisdom would call a setup. Sometimes we should not look behind the curtains.
I enjoyed this episode. I read some of the comments before I started watching so I was bracing myself for something awful, but it was better than I thought it would be. Then I goggled them after to see if they had gotten married and I'm happy that they did! Their love story is their love story. I think one of the main differences with this couple, from the other featured couples, is that they did not mention God being the center or foundation of their relationship. I pray that they come to the realization that it's important to make Him the center of it all. I pray that God sends men and women into their lives who can mentor them and help them navigate the seas of marriage so that it's successful and has longevity. Laterras, it's awesome that you invested into their relationship by giving them a platform to share their story. ❤
I enjoyed the interview I think as women we set ourselves up when we live with a guy before marriage However I like their level of honesty and transparency
She is psycho funny. I see her story on Lifetime in another theme & plot. Lol. She should have pursued comedy. She is funny plus she does look like Sanaa.
I can't speak to the body language, but it almost sounds like she wore him down. Lol. Hopefully that's more of their sense of humor coming through. Their dynamic is definitely interesting.
I admire their candor and willingness to tackle communication problems head on. Praying that the Lord grants them the grace to weather the different seasons in marriage. God bless!
You should t have to convince a man. Our job as women is to present; the man’s job is to pursue. Neither party should have to “convince” each other; at all!
I’m actually thoroughly disturbed 🚩 She literally did the opposite of what the saying is “a man should pursue and not persuade and a woman should be pursued and not pursue”. The conversation was overpowering. He seems so introverted and dismissed by her. I didn’t like how she cut him off……it wouldn’t be my journey. Just know, there are a lot of different people in this world. I pray he gets strength enough to fully step into himself because he doesn’t seem happy and fulfilled or even in love.
@@keishagulley8076 my sentiments exactly. He seemed stifled the entire episode. I didn’t see love…I saw her end game without regard to him. But he allows it, so what is there to say?
Now, that's a man who knows what love is and knows his woman - especially when he decided this proposal is a BIG DEAL, so forget about that behind closed doors/private moment; we going BIG. Congratulations! Your faith WILL carry you all the way, because Love never fails. 🥰
This go to show people that everybody's relationship is not the same. What work for some people might not work for others. I pray that God will bless this future marriage and lead them to people who will pour into their marriage with good counsel and wisdom!
This is the same thing I did with my husband however we got married in 364 days and have been married 26 years. I wish you the best but please Put God in it sister thats what kept us married.
This is so disturbing. 1. She pursued him aggressively. 2. She does not allow him to lead. 3. She doesn't allow him to speak much. She is giving Elmyra on Animaniacs vibes. 4. The dynamic is more like mother/son and not a healthy man/woman relationship. 5. He is not much of a leader. He wants to be led and that is totally out of order. Marriage is going to really expose more and I truly hope they get strong believers around them and their relationship to endure the realness of marriage and everything that comes with it. Marriage is far more real than any fantasy of being married with children.
I mean each to his own. There are lots of Born again ladies on the straight and narrow who are not taking any risks and are still single at 50ish. God works in mysterious ways . May be this is how her story was supposed to be written .
@@efuaa2828 I beg to differ respectfully as the order of God is totally opposite of this dynamic. This is not a "godly" relationship at all and for many reasons. Totally out of (God's) order.
@@efuaa2828 I agree with your sentiments...God's thoughts are definitely not our own. Pray for them and keep it moving. I can definitely see how ppl can see all the red flags as well but God can make some things shake if its for the overall better of the Kingdom for sure.
LaTerras, just hugging you Christianly real tightly and whispering GodBlesses and THANK YOU for the Kingdom Step up. I love you to life. Sister in Christ Monique. Such a blessing!
I'm still watching and catching up!!! AMEN AND AMEN !!! That is what real love does and go girl go. I hope to see some posts on their wedding PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!!
I thought the motto for women was present but don’t pursue and for men it was pursue but don’t persuade. Yet this has the opposite written all over it. Clearly, he had her as a placeholder until something better came along and fortunately for her nothing better came. But I certainly wouldn't Gamble in marriage to see of my lucky streak continues. Best of luck to her though
I don't care how long you live together it will be special when you are married. Its something about God's ordination. You will feel so bad that you didn't have that feeling the previous years by doing things the opposite of what God said.
This episode was refreshing. They have a wonderful quirkiness that l love. Ashleigh is absolutely hilarious! I literally hollered with laughter. They are definitely purpose partners. I love how they found their career passion within each other. Once again sir 👏🏽 Congratulations! The center sounds amazing! May God continue to bless you on your journey. The number of children waiting to be adopted, specifically Brown children in many states is staggering. I am sorry to say we are not adopting them either. Again, Thank you for stepping up! 🙏🏽
I laughed almost the entire time watching this video! Ashley should consider stand up comedy. Babygirl was SERIOUS LOL. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Come through Kingdom Royale!
Omg he is taking all of the romance out of what seemed to be a magical moment. There are some huge Adel fans who would have been grateful. He has a great network and the hook up, he's been on many TV shows according to her, won a radio contest, and finally the Adele proposal.
7 years yeesh. I have been single longer than that but I couldn't imagine being a woman and being with someone that long. I mean I would start to think he would never propose. But when a woman loves you she will put up with anything even when she shouldn't wow. We got to do a follow up he might wait 3 years or more to get married.lol. 25:00 I was claiming you no matter if you liked me or not. He is going to be my man no matter what. Dang if a man acted like that y'all be throwing red flags and saying he's thirsty. 25:44 If he didn't give me his last name I was going to take it myself.
She is much more enthusiastic about the relationship than him. In my experience it takes a man so long because he is still looking for his wife. More often than not He does not feel that you are the one. Which he didn’t even want to claim her as his girlfriend at one point. She really wore him down. They both need therapy separately before getting married. This is why people will be together 10 years, get married and divorce after 2 years.
@@Rashaadthegr8 I agree. Two minutes in it appeared that she doesn't really respect him and is giving Jezebel vibes. If he is not a stand up guy and put his foot down and lead, she will keep dragging him to do what SHE wants. That is totally unbiblical. Totally. I hope they really get thorough healthy counseling before entering into a covenant which is far more important than a pressured engagement. How will they endure the hard times? Will she brow beat him or...? Idk. I do not wish anything bad. I am just checking the fruit. I hope the best for them and that the reality of marriage is nothing close to fantasy. Also, the marriage dynamic should not look like a mother/son relationship. This looks more like a mother/son relationship. Dynamics are totally off.
@@JusDiff lol idk if I go that far but it doesn't look like he really wanted to be with her. She was more like the only one left vs. the one I really wanted.

LLOOOOVVEEED them 🤣🤣🤣🤣👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤭🤭🤭🤭 Each episode removes a bandage from my soul and unveils my wounds in the most vulnerable uncomfortable way with an unfamiliar gentleness. Ive been on this journey to reveal, feel, and heal my wounds that are so deep they have become numb so that I can run and not walk, be weiry but not faint in this Kingdom Marathon...These conversations, in a very weird supernatural and spiritual way, fosters a space that sees me in a way that I can't see myself... it holds a rotating mirror up at my 12 so I see my 6, 3, 9 and all my blind/numb spots... AND its not scary (although it was at first)... it's an unfamiliar yet totally familiar safe and comfortable space for me to receive the fact that I STILL have scars though I've done so much work... You create a space for me that helps me see my "scars" AREN'T my "flaws"; unveiling them allows for the breathe of the Holy Spirit to remove the pain and replace it with a beauty mark. Thanks for being obedient and allowing us VIP seating on these intentional and intimate conversations.... you're courage to be THIS vulnerable and obedient is unmatched. The world thanks you...🙏🏽
Wow!!!! You got the "Adele" couple. ❤️❤️❤️ I clicked like before watching. You are not playing. Awesomeness. I like her a lot. What's crazy to me is their transparency isn't sugar coated. I'm here for it. He understood the assignment. Nothing is complicated about them, what you see is what you get. Will be praying for them.
This is the first time I’ve ever watched an episode, and felt so uninspired. I got more , but I will leave it at that. God bless them. Only The Father knows.
Tomara Doss - thought it was just me! I actually FORCED myself to watch it all! No Spiritual Food whatsoever... I take that back: I was reminded, "If the Holy Spirit is not involved, there will be 'no inspiration'!
I wasn't inspired, but it did remind me of a LTR I was in. I'm glad this interview occurred, because some woman will finally see how she's allowing too many years of her youth to be wasted on someone who simply isn't ready to love her properly.
For me, this Podcast is a space for people to share their journey. None of our journey is spotless or perfect. Mine is very flowed. However, I can’t speak for Latarrius, but I know he was not there to judge or counsel them. He shared his platform so this couple to share there testimony, journey. For me as a viewer, I need to be self aware of my own journey and know what God has fitted for me. It’s each of our choice to partner with Holy Spirit to experience the love story God is pleased with. When I watch any of these episodes I’m asking Holy Spirit what the take away is for me. Would I follow the pattern of this couple, no because it’s not how I’m designed to function. However, there are things that I have taken away from their story that Holy Spirit and I are discussing. From my perspective, Latarrius graciously hosted his guest like he always does.
Tuning in today to see this podcast episode brought to mind that maybe God brought about this podcast to help so many understand the levels of relationships as well as his will towards our commitment to him and others. I can also see how Laterras is changing from the inside out.
I am so happy it turned out well for her. However, for most women this is a situation we'd avoid like the plague. The whole time I was like I love her and her energy, but what happens when she finally starts to rest in her woman hood?It feels like she is the driving force behind the relationship. What happens when she gets tired? Is he able and willing to take her place? (I'm assuming yes because he seems to have grown greatly)Also I dont promote women letting a man do him while he's with you. That's how women end up in place holder relationships and all used up. Also I would feel like his mom if I have to tell a man stuff all the time. Again im not speaking on their love, just what ive seen from situations that started off like this.
She is animated and intense, but funny 😆This is definitely a different type of interview. I appreciate the variety. Laterras, you were funny. Some folks are okay with long term transitioning and playing the games. I hope that this relationship matures well.
I am not sure how I feel about this episode. I wonder if she watches the video, will she see how it seems as though she speaks for him. The guy appears to be use to falling back and afraid to speak up. She may have invested a lot of money in him coupled with the time and feels as though she has the right to speak for him. God Blessed them both!!!
It's awesome what you are doing with your organization Laterras and I enjoyed this interview. They compliment each other's really well and I pray the best for them!
Dang i only now watched this video- then watched their proposal, that thing had my eyes streeeeaming with tears. Pretty sure even healing or an extra build up of faith happened because my heart feel different now. Thank you for sharing!
I am glad your bring different couples to the show so we can see different views. She's different for sure and this couple is different. What I have come to learn is that life is what you make it, people do things differently, I hope for this couple that they are happy with their decision and God blesses their union.
IMO - WOW...she literally forced herself on him. More power to her, I guess....but I can't waste my time with someone who doesn't have a purpose in dating. To each its own. I hope and pray it works!
Real Talk! Love the comments about marriage and how you were MADE for it! You are definitely a purposed couple. It's a blessing to be purposed in marriage! I am a witness! YOU will be the example! Keep it real and keep sharing the blessing of you as a couple! People can glean truly from what you display and how you decide, and how you share and how you witness! That's a blessing! Be the example of what JOY relating can bring! Blessings to you both!
Babyyyy Laterras is such a good interviewer because I’m only 20 minutes in and this is not goal nobody should be your goals but these 2 for sure but I will hold my opinions and I wish them well and pray that some way this marriage will last. Again great job for handling this with care and ease because he said somethings that we are all were thinking but said it in a way that would not be harsh or confrontational great job I absolutely love this podcast
Thank you for acknowledging the care I take with my guests. It is my goal to provide a non-judgmental safe space for them to share. It's scary to come on a platform as large as this and be judged by the world. I respect their bravery.
@@DearFutureWifey you are absolutely right! I truly do hope that their marriage will be a testimony that can help others. God can do anything and a lot of time he takes situations that we can’t see and turn them into beautiful things so I hope this will happen for them! Thank you for responding I also love that you actually engage with your audience
I'm speechless. And I'm never speechless. LOL! I'm almost encouraged because I have quite the personality as well and I often wonder "Is there someone for me?" Now, I think may be 🤭🙏🏾
Thanks for sharing this interview with the Brunson's... I turned vegan two years ago so I can relate to Ashleigh and the whole cooking thing... will be following the vegan page for sure. Be blessed always! Janine
This episode was so uncomfortable to watch. I watched it for 3 days, I kept on pausing it. I don't mean to be negative but I don't have a good feeling about this one. It's clear that sis forced the guy to marry her, she wants this more than he does. I don't understand how she can do this to herself, it's really sad.
She don't give him a chance to speak. Stop cutting him off. Let him say what's on his mine. I hope it works out she is very bossy. Let him be a man. She stated she's the one who's have a family. You're having the baby, but he helped. You can't do it without him.

Amen. Love judge toler
FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ever.
That's IF he even TELLS you in the first place!🤣
You nailed it.
Exactly!!!!
Now this is transparent
🎯🎯🎯🎯
Exactly until he was ready and decided to tag her.
He should wait until he was mentally ready before getting in a relationship.
I agree!
@@Rashaadthegr8 This, because this was nothing but game playing til he was in his 30s and dragging her along the way.
@@19Hollisterchick90 idk if it was games he just gave up and she won.
It was difficult to watch. I cringed for most of it because she pursued him so hard. But if she's okay and doesn't feel like she compromised herself then great. I love black love and marriage and I truly hope they endure until death parts them.
I cringed as well. I choose not to make a main comment. But all I felt was 🚩‘s 😬
Amen!
You and me both! If begging was a person. I know that’s mean, but that’s what she did!
I’ve watched too much Tony Gaskins and RC Blakes to think that what I saw was alright. Nonetheless, that’s their business and testimony. God’s speed!
I agree with you.
Right! I already know what Tony Gaskins would say lol
Absolutely!
Yea this was a Lil cringeworthy
I watch both of them !!!! I love their ministry
Well… one thing I can say is Dear Future Wifey podcast hits all aspects and prospectives pertaining to relationships.
I so agree!
Same sentiments, then I read the comments confirming what's obvious! A lot of work needs to be done on both- counselling & feminine prowess for her too
I think he left it to chance when he sent his video to be selected. He is still not ready to get married. And i think she has doubts
But she wants him to be the right person. She doesn't want to start over. The funny thing about life is that you could be with someone for years and you still dont fit. And you can just talk to someone for months and realize it was meant to be.
Totally agree.
THIS!
Why would he? they've been playing house, she's given him everything why give a ring?
I don’t think any of us would tell our own daughter to continue dealing with a man who tells you he doesn’t want to be with them, but somehow this is cute???
She also contradicted herself! In one breath she says “you can’t force a man” but in the next she says he had no choice to be with her wether he liked it or not??? She also says she’s a “queen” but wouldn’t allow herself to be pursued like one??
I noticed that too.
That whole first paragraph! Facts
SMH
The proposal was better...this interview and actually hearing them discuss their relationship...is something else.
Helllooooooo 🗣🗣🗣🗣
Although this has nothing to do with me. I pray this couple has a great marriage. But I wish I knew nothing pass the Adele special because this gives me great pause and concern.🙏🏾
@@keishagulley8076 EXACTLY what I was thinking. I wish I didn't know ANYTHING pass the Adele event...everything after that should give everyone pause. ❤️
I totally agree. I love them as a couple. They work for each other. I hung out with them all day and they seem to be perfect for each other.
I watched this interview again and I totally agree with you. I love their love story ❤
Geesh!
If you do it by the book then there would be no wedding rings. Adam and Eve never had a wedding ring. #FACTS
I agree
Doing by the book does not guarantee a successful marriage. There are plenty divorced Christians, including Laterras
@@sharbur5906 True!
He may have give in because he finally stopped running and faces and accepted who he knew he loved.
@@jaztee6025 Yep. He is a Flight Freeze, she is a Fight Fawn. Very dangerous types, those Fight Fawn Types.
Propose or death 😬😬 WOWWW. There were so many red flags 🚩 and contradictions in this episode.
Are u single?
I think this couple needs to watch the Red Flags episode.🤣🤦🏾♀️God helped Laterras steer the conversation back though & he gave him what to say to them.🙂
She feels that way because she’s stuck around for so long
The time-capsule seeds!
Love and appreciate your perspective, because I truly struggled with this one.
I really loved what she said, that they have a way of resolving their arguments in a healthy manner, that's beautiful, keep that up🙂 I hope this Word will reach them: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."🌸
This is everything they tell women not to do in a relationship in order to get married 🤣
I do wonder though, if she had walked away after 2 years, if he would have gone to find her when he was ready to get married?
She's really funny!!! I hope she gets to explore where that gift can take her.
I doubt it 😔 he just said he didn't have any women left. "Might as well be with her" 🤷🏽♀️
@@susandodson1234 he's really handsome and seems very down to earth. I think he'd be able to have his pick at any woman. One thing I really liked is she never wavered from her conviction to get married before starting a family.

2 years ? Way to short.
Same! I stopped watching midway. It was one of the worst interviews he’s had on here. I had such a huge headache listening to her.
Same here!! It made me do some true self reflections. I’m praying for her because this is extremely sad 😔
He acts like he doesn’t remember. It’s really not that important to him.
She is doing too much
@@nonikaallen2030 I totally agree with you.

You're so right. It sounds scarry 😨
Wow.

He said he did it because he wanted to. And that she started showing him she could be a wife. And she started cooking, etc.

I enjoyed this interview. It was raw and real. How often can you say that about people? Great job Laterius, awesome interview and awesome guests!

I pray he gets strength enough to fully step into himself because he doesn’t seem happy and fulfilled or even in love.
Queen. This was somewhat hard to watch. I pray it works indeed. But I just wish it didn't go past the beautiful Adele moment. 🙏🏾
Yeahhhhh! Finally watched the whole thing and umm…..ion know both this one, Boss! 🥴
@@efuaa2828 God don't invest in people until they invest in him. They said NOTHING about being God led.
@@JusDiff Saw your comment AFTER mine. Exactly!
Wow, thank you
She basically pressured him and blackmailed him into engagement. Sad.
Jezebel behavior...She may resent that later.
This is an example of when a woman chooses her husband. Never ends well.
I see it as he removed all options to only focus on her.
@@DearFutureWifey No, listen to what he said. He said "no other options were left." There's a difference!
Exactly!!!!!
Once again sir 👏🏽
Congratulations!
This lady is hilarious! 😅😅😅😅😅 I like her energy and everything 🙌
Lovely couple...
This story is very very beautiful ❤❤ i absolutely admire how realistic this story is!! May God keep blessing their journey ❤
She literally made me cringe with her actions and approaches. I mean God has a way of making things work. I hope it works out in their favor!
@@Courie11e I don't know if this is God this is forced.

Each episode removes a bandage from my soul and unveils my wounds in the most vulnerable uncomfortable way with an unfamiliar gentleness.
@@jaztee6025 preeeach! I’m glad I’m not alone!
Same
Agreeed
I wasn't inspired, but it did remind me of a LTR I was in. I'm glad this interview occurred, because some woman will finally see how she's allowing too many years of her youth to be wasted on someone who simply isn't ready to love her properly.
Latarrius was really kind during this interview
Why do you say that?
@@amandanicole9917 Wonderful comment ! Just wonderfully said/written
She was shocked of the proposal after 9 years? Something ain't right but to each their own...
Do you have an IG?
My sentiments exactly.
I was done seeing a grown A man with a bear on his chest. May the Most High intervene in this relationship.
She is animated and intense, but funny 😆This is definitely a different type of interview. I appreciate the variety. Laterras, you were funny. Some folks are okay with long term transitioning and playing the games. I hope that this relationship matures well.
I love that he said, “ let’s not get doing it right with doing it perfect.”
That! ❤️
Wow I absolutely loved this episode … this couple was so refreshing and L asked all the right questions and highlighted the nuggets 👌🏾
Glad you enjoyed it!
She’s giving Narcissist vibes 😏
I hated to admit this but it’s true.
She's gonna have to do it their whole marriage
Ladies RUN AWAY from this type of guy🤞😢 .....
Again I watch this podcast literally almost every other day and rewatch and this is truly one of your callings and purposes!!! Keep going you are blessing sooooo many lives!
Janine
LOVING A PERSON BRINGS ABOUT THE DESIRE TO CHANGE FOR THE GOOD OF THE REAL-ATIONSHIP
