You can get even thicker lines foiled using cutting dies if you put a piece of parchment between the die and the foil.

Very awesome video. Anyone that does mixed media painting/mixed media, use the 2 way glue pen and make random lines on paper, and get streaks of additional color. It is really cool, and easy.
Thanks for showing us so many cool techniques. I especially appreciate your knowledge of which glue pens work, sometimes it's fun to just add little details to stamped images that way. Turns out I have one of those you talked about, yay! I missed the link to the video you have about foiling different substrates, do you remember the title?

If you put the release paper from 8.5 x 11 sticker paper sheets between the foil and the die to get a slightly thicker line.

That's what I did with the negatives :)
I was experimenting yesterday and got pretty good results using regular dies but having trouble with using the waste foil and the solid hot foil plate for a complete transfer. I added a shim but got a distressed result. I think I need more add more heat. It’s a brand new machine. So is the platinum six.
Try very smooth paper like Yupo or something glossy for waste.
@@NancyStamps Thanks, Nancy! I did what you suggested and the result was much better. I just wish we could get the same effect using regular card stock rather than needing to purchase more expensive paper. 🙂

No. That's a little trickier because they are thicker.
Hello Nancy wowl it’s so cool that we can do a cutting dies. I would like to know if I can use my laminator for this technique I don’t have that heating plate that you have to do the foil.
No this won't work with a laminator

I use washi tape to tape the dies and paper. Heat safe tape on the plates.

Do you sew? I found some beautiful cork fabric that looks like leather. I wanted to add embroidery and then sew up a bag. I don’t have an embroidery machine but I have a GoPress and foil machine! Can I add a foiled design on the fabric before sewing into a bag? If so, how can I do it?
You can hot foil it on or use heat transfer adhesive with Toner foil.

Why do you need to angle the dies?
If you put them straight across when they go through the die cutting machine they could "jump"
Why keeps the die from cutting through the foil?
It's not a thick enough sandwich. The foil just kisses the die & paper.
