Dive into this relaxing and rejuvenating 30 min yin yoga session designed to both relax your mood and release tension from the body! Yin yoga is a soothing practice where we hold postures for 2-7 minutes traditionally. In this class, we'll be holding these yin yoga poses for 2 minutes each.
These extended holds allow our muscles to relax into the full body stretch. Anatomically, these longer yin holds allow our fascia - the connective tissue that envelops our muscles, tendons, and organs - to reorganize into ways that allow for greater flexibility and range of motion.
Fascia that is not worked and moved is often the tissue that makes us feel tight - not the muscle. As we melt into these yin poses calmly, your fascia will release pent-up tension, while our nervous system relaxes simultaneously.
If you're seeking yoga for a mental reset or that yin yoga stretch, this class will give you the space to open your body, release tension, and calm the mind. Perfect for beginner yogis to advanced yogis who want that yin yoga stretch.

This is sooo good. As someone with a spinal injury I’m always so tight and find quick movements in yoga too difficult, but this is perfect ❤

the most challenging pose for me was pigeon! I felt it most in the middle of my hamstrings. my legs felt so tight! but it felt amazing coming out of all of the poses, especially the first two arm/shoulder poses!
Will this be good for releasing knots in the upper back and neck?

This was my first time practicing with you, and I enjoyed it very much. I practice daily and am certified to teach, but I found new depths through this practice with you. I often limit myself in seated forward folds, but this yin allowed me to breathe and fall into the stretch, taking me to new levels 🤍🙏🏻

I really loved this one and needed it today! I have done so much driving the last few days, and this one really helped release the tightness. I don't know what Yin yoga is or even going along with the video as I'm writing this comment, I'm just looking for a video to follow along in my planned out workout and stretch routine and I can already tell how good the stretch is going to feel. Think of yin yoga as your nervous system reset + deep stretch. It's a very meditative practice. Great for to chill out, if your hormones tell you you need something less powerful, or to get grounded. :)

I've been doing yoga for a few years now and have not tried yin yoga and I can't believe I haven't come across it. I have a lot of lower back pain and use yoga to warm up each morning. But this is just the right pace to get deeper into the stretch without feeling like I need to hurry into the next pose. I really appreciate your calm intentional approach.
Yin yoga is magical! I'm so glad you had a good first experience! I used to train athletes and this was their favorite - to just be still, and stretch.

This was my first time of practicing yin yoga with you. It allowed me to cry and release my emotions with a deep sense of gratitude. So far on my self as a beginner Yoga I have become discouraged and in pain because I have been pushing myself trying to keep up with other styles of yoga videos like Hathaway I think and vinyasa. And it is too much for me too soon. I don't want to give up and finding your yin yoga style seems like a much better fit for my journey. Thank you and Namaste

Thank you for this class... I've been really stressed out lately and surprisingly I could feel the relaxation I haven't felt for a long time... also, I stretch consistently but these slow, deep, long poses gave me a sensation of a deeper stretch and I felt much more open and flexible in my body. Great experience ❤

Awesome. I'm not a yoga person. Body built like a fire hydrant. Inherent been able to sit on the floor with m legs crossed in years. At the end of this class, I could comfortably sit cross legged with no discomfort. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this! I feel like you hear people releasing emotion a lot during hip opening stretches but I had a great emotional release during the chest opening portion. When I looked up was stored energetically in these places, the release made so much sense. This is a very beautiful practice that I intend to do again!

Amazing 🙌 I've been practicing yin off and on for a few years now... this was perfect motivation. Sometimes yin brings up stuff or makes us agitated (or even angry!) at slowing down. That's all really normal.
If it's hard in the body then please bring pillows/bolsters to put under your body for comfort. I want you to feel comfortable here. :)
If it's hard in the mind, you can try to breathe through it or gently come out and take an easy seat.
