Lady Gaga is an amazing artists; with amazing vocals, plays several instruments, produces/composes/writes her own music, she has an incredible great taste in music and she is a perfectionist who knows exactly how shit needs to get done. Metallica appreciated her talent cause they saw it on her and they loved it.

To be honest, I could totally see Lady Gaga singing metal. She has a great voice and enough versatility to sing anything. She crushed it on "Moth Into Flame!" I've been a Metallica fan since 1983. I've been disappointed with a lot of the stuff since the first four albums, but this new record and Death Magnetic were both great. Can't wait to catch them on tour!

Sound of Music. Tony Bennett. Sting. David Bowie. Nothing Lady Gaga does musically will surprise me. What makes her stand out is that she is willing to do the work to make the music work as best she can (I would argue that she is strongest in the jazz/trad pop spectrum).. The only surprise is that she did not do this with Metallica sooner. *Smile* She is, in essence, a fangirl through and through.
Exactly. What I most love about her is that she's a true music fan in the end, and is open to every genre unlike some conservative musician who's only stuck in one kind of music. She knows she has all the talent but she's also humble enough to pay homage to the legends of music. I really like her attitude.
They are just cute. It's so good to see that they made it through the craziness, they are happy, aging gracefully and having fun. All those parents that were terrified of Metallica and Heavy Metal, had nothing to worry about after all.

I honestly don’t understand why people are calling Metallica a sellout for performing with Lady Gaga?? I don’t understand...I think as long as someone is performing with another artist, who truly is an artist then why not?! It’s all art. She plays like 5 instruments..has a phenomenal voice..can sing anything! She was accepted to Juilliard..also was one of only 20 people in the world to have early acceptance to the NYU Tisch school of the arts..She is just pure talent and I think Metallic should consider themselves lucky to perform with her.
That’s just my opinion.
Luckily, for us true fans of Metallica. They do what they want to do, and don’t care what the “elitists” think. This “sellout” crap, has been going on, since the Black album. I’ve listened to them since Kill em all was on Megaforce records, and I’m glad they have evolved, and became the biggest metal act in the world. They don’t owe an explanation to me, about some of their musical choices. They just owe me a good show, when I pay to see them live, and they have never disappointed me.
We are the same age as Metallica.. We grew up listening to them and as long as they put it out, I am listening till I can't anymore.

+petrichor I've been listening to Metal for years. Seen all the greats, Priest, Maiden, Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeath, Pantera, you name it and I've always admired Lady Gaga's brand of Pop Music. She's a talent and her music is listenable and have had it on my playlist for a while now and I'm not afraid to admit it.

Absofuckinglutely still the best metal shows ever been to are the Metallica shows always put on a badass 2 plus hour show and make you feel like this is the most important show of their tour. Even when James had just got burned by the pyrotechnics in Canada in the tour with GnR and he just did vocals and his guitar tech and dude from Metal Church filled in it was amazing show in New Mexico. GnR sucked and we left after an hour of their lame set. Mostly whiny Axl and too much use your illusion songs.
