I saw Brian with the Beach Boys in Dec 76 and he suddenly got up from the piano, ran across the stage, jumped over an amplifier, grabbed his bass and sang "Back Home" - talk about energy!
I love Brian’s eventual beautiful admittance and then radio wise back paddling in case he was being inappropriate but it was the 70s after all lol, and radio stations would provide lines and Js to artists lol. I love Brian Wilson he’s so great in this interview. I love these 70s interviews of his!
It's kind of sad that Brian was trying so hard to get more people to see their show - one of the best bands in the business ever and in their best lineup...
Brian was having a blast during that period before the buzzkill of Landy. He should have just retired then and PARTY. Fohget the misery memoir of wouldnt it be nice autobiography.
It’s was the hateful voices telling scary evil things that had him decline. He said he’s heard them every day of his life. That would drive anyone insane. The drugs kept th voices at bay.

It’s my only UA-cam video
I like Brian Wilson and I could listen to him forever. I loved it when Brian said Dennis Wilson, the best drummer around.
You could play a lethal drinking game based on how many times Brian introduces himself.
Sure you just had coffee, Brian.
Yep, he is just exited
🙄
After listening to this I'm exhausted!
Seriously!! I
His name is Matt Foley. He has been down in the basement drinking coffee for the last 12 hours.....
Must’ve been some _really_ strong coffee. Strong, white, powdery ‘coffee’. ☃️
KJR: Ever been up the Space Needle?
Brian: Launches into a discussion about cocaine.
Did he breathe at all in this interview? Whew.
Def the coke days. That shit must have been pure as hell
Or speed
I would've totally gone to this concert, but I wasn't born quite yet

I grew up with people just like Brian 24/7
God bless this man
I never had the desire to do cocaine…until listening to this interview.
It's like no one can stop him talking 😂
This is too hilarious!! 😂
😅😅😅😅✌️✌️✌️
Cocaine is a hell of a drug
It most certainly is.
He’s the opposite of how he is now in interviews.
It sure is
It's kind of sad that Brian was trying so hard to get more people to see their show - one of the best bands in the business ever and in their best lineup...
It’s just part of the business. The Boys did extremely well touring so I wouldn’t feel too bad
Slow down Mr. Wilson!
i think the tape is sped up. The dj sounds fast too.
Rick James: Cocaine...is a helluva drug.
sure is
Brian Wilson: Does 3x more Cocaine than Rick James.

What a fucking legend lmao. Thank you for making me feel better about my intoxicated rambling Brian
absolutely lost it at "and Dennis Wilson probably the greatest drummer in the business"

Love how they're all about "Surfer Girl". 1976 lol.
I know how that feels like... you have to talk..before you go crazy
No more Coffee for u, Mr Wilson!!!
lit
I'm high on cocaine just listening to this
Does anyone know if making all those explicit drug references was allowed on the radio in 1976? The DJ didn't seem phased by it...
the 1970s was loosey goosey
The degeneracy of the 2010s and 2020s doesmt even compare.
The real question is, did it sell out in the end?
Yeah, it did
The year Brian had Bill Murray's voice.
mike love being a diva is hilarious
Wow! People were really into drugs then!
Holy crap... speed say what?
Singing about the beach in Seattle? Must be high.

Only a cup of coffee huh? Lol brian reminds me of porky pig here.
What year was this interview?

He sounds coked up
This isn't really Brian, folks.
Go on, indulge me
If it’s not, it’s the greatest impression ever done
