are you kidding me right now, seriously what is going on with our radio stations? FYI i think this is more of a self rant by a sleep deprived babysitter who was supposed to be gone 7 hours ago and not up all night . I just heard this song & randomly just got mad haha. Literally every single person not only loves this song, but actually mentions the same words like haunting, beautiful,etc. Most song comments are more like good - bad- explaining / debating a meaning or whatever, & then actual people fighting (never noticed that until today its actually hilarious) The point is, no one is always in total agreement especially on social media. So now this is what I'm mad about. I'm just wondering how this girl is not a "known name" or at the very least on the radio! Everyone found this song by a commercial or the originals, idk that just makes me so mad because , well if you have ears you'll know why. Now i'm just thinking about how many songs like this are out there that the radio never plays. I'll wrap it up by saying the song alone is so unique & original, It's almost as if she took songs in general to a whole new level. Someone please put her on the radio!!
Hannah, this is Britt. I am my own manager, agent, and social media administrator, so I am answering you personally... I love your rant, thank you for everything you wrote. Your point about radio---especially factoring in all the amazing independent music we'll never hear---is valid and largely due to "payola" by major labels to the stations to get their artists heard. They think the majority of the population is too numb and dumb to develop their own musical taste---execs crunching numbers decide what will inform your emotional world. The best thing you can do is share the music you love with everyone you know. Word of mouth is more powerful than any old pay-to-play promotion. And pester your local stations---including college/NPR---with requests to play the music YOU love. I'd LOVE to hear "Diminuendo" on the radio, are you kidding?! It makes me so happy when my music-art connects with someone in a meaningful way. Which is why I will make music until my eyes, ears, and heart fail me, regardless of household name recognition, and am lucky that Burberry, XBox, The Originals, and others synced my music with their visuals and sent so many vast and varied souls my way where, amazingly, you all agree that you love this song. hannah sherwood really agree. Her voice is totally something else! I have never heard a voice like her. And i love this kind of music. This song makes me feel something that i can't explain. Something beautiful but intimidating at the same time. And yes. Are you kiding. She should have been known by now!

I always interpret it as a tragic love story where a woman's partner succumbs to depression and/or drugs and she works tirelessly to continue loving him, and though she isn't able to save him with just her love, she tries anyway, and forgives his mistakes while trying to get better.
