I am starting in Chunk 10545 (Fishing Trawler). My Goals are simple. Completely finish the chunk, never said they were easy goals!
My Goal for this Episode was to unlock the Fishing Trawler Mini-Game through Bob randoms and other xp randoms.

As this is my first time playing OSRS I didn't realize recording in fullscreen was not be the best option for viewers. I have been told by people in-game about stretched mode, So I will be recording as much as I can on fixed. Sometimes I am still on full screen, but at least with the stretched mode on it makes it a bunch easier to read!
Oak trees are 3 by 3s, it's in your chunk. An entity is there when you cannot move into them.
Well, it looks like I have a whole lot of oak logs in my future!

Awesome Episode brother! As far as the Oak tree goes, You are standing in your chunk It should be cool. You're not leaving your chunk to chop the oak. You cant smelt the glass without a forge. The only way you can train crafting will be just repairing nets, cutting gems. *edit* As I watch the video I see my answers are also applied. That is what I call speedy!

Chop the oak. The original creator set the precedent that you can interact with things outside your chunk, but it doesn't count towards your goals
You can chop the tree without leaving the chunk so I say allow it! Also how did you only get 2 angler pieces in 100 trawlers

Great first video! The only minor things that may improve the quality, which were mentioned by some other commenters would be inventory size (likely due to your screen size) and audio quality, both of which it seems like you're getting set up. As far as other accounts: I would love to see you do a main in conjunction with a chunk man "iron man" - The main is unrestricted and you use it to equip your ironman to do his required tasks. Call it "Sponsored adventurer" or something more catchy. Would require a bit of editing to show both account's progress but could give the fun dopamine unlocks of the chunkman with a bit more progress and less depression.
Plus plenty to do on each account while the other is afking!
Either way love the video can't wait for the next one!

I think the oak tree would be fine. Its easier to keep the rules straight if its strictly doing anything you can without leaving the chunk. That allows luring creatures/imps in your chunk and figuring out other weird methods to speed up any xp gains.
That's a good point I am using the imps wandering in so I might as well use the oak tree as well!
cool idea, I hope you dont go crazy before leaving this chunk :D My understanding of the rules is that you cannot leave your chunk, but all within your chunk is required . so by that, you are not required to chop a oak tree, but since you can chop an oak tree while in your chunk you are allowed to do that, since you didnt leave.

loved the vid. good grinding. Like the actual editing. A few minor points for me is the audio quality (better microphone could be good investment) and the ratio you play with. Your inventory etc look very small because you play on a huge screen probably :) i'd try to find a way around that.

Love the vid, looking forward to more! Oak tree is cut able from your chunk so as long as your in your chunk it doesn't matter, imo anyway.
I personally think that the oak tree should be useable. It's not "in your chunk" but you can still access it from inside it. Think of it as an npc that can wander or be lured into your chunk.

Oh wow, i can’t believe I never was recommended this until now! Chop the oak and you can’t do glassmaking without a furnace, which is why the chunk picker isn’t triggering the crafting grind.

The oak tree is fair game because you are allowed to kill imps that do not spawn (just wander) in your chunk. These are essentially the same.

From my knowledge there is the crafting supplies in your chunk but no way to make the supplies into molten glass. So thats why it isn't a chunk requirement I think.
You would be correct, it was just me being a smooth brain thinking I could do that!
@@DilloTheNinja Closest furnace is probably the ardy one which will give you better access to a bank for the grind and you will be able to sell to the general store to save time dropping
Great video, I love longer videos like this, and for your first, it was pretty good. Once you figure out the screen sizing issues, it'll be great. I personally wouldn't mind a video every 2-4 weeks even if it were just videos of you chopping logs/showing tralwer rewards and such, but either way. Excited to see this account grow!

Anything chunk locked = automatic sub lock
Oak tree is definitely in your chunk lol. If other chunkers are luring monsters into their chunk and altscaping for pvm then I don't see how cutting a tree youre entirely staying within your chunk to do is even slightly stretching the rules
That Oak tree will forget how to spawn back in after I finish chopping it!

idk how you plan on dealing with magic, but imo you should avoid lamping it. getting 17 magic for wind bolt adds a ton of goals. you'd get superheat which unlocks 68 smithing for a mithril platebody just from superheating bars to use on your anvil. as well as 79 magic for entangle just from random event runes and lamps. Even buzz has sources of runes outside of random events. Implings would probably be even worse. excited for the series tho!
I plan on Lamping farming, at least for now! As for your mention of Magic, the chunk directly north (Tower Of Life) has a building with necromancers in it, so I am only going to think about magic if I get that chunk! That chunk would then bring in all of those smithing-related grinds you mentioned!
If old school wasn’t so unforgiving this could be kind of fun but since they don’t have pet thresholds which is dumb that they don’t and the exp rates are so low you could get to 200m exp in a skill and still never see a pet. Sparc mac didn’t get the farming pet at 200m.
Yeah, the pets certainly make it drastically more challenging to the point most people wouldn't even consider it, but it's what I wanted to do! The whole reason I am going to start another 1 or 2 series is so that you guys can still get more content while it takes however long it takes to get the pets on this account

Rs3 doesnt have any plugins like osrs does so it would be very hard to do something like that!
About the editing content and time, I would say for me the number of levels were fine, though you don't necessarily need a montage as long as you don't show EVERY level at low levels and just show like every 5. Also, one thing that I like about how other content creators like Settled do it is whenever you are doing something kinda strange (like cooking those raw chicken drops from the imps, which I think you cut from the footage) or find an interesting thing in your chunk (like an object you thought was weird or a random dialogue with an npc that most people don't talk to) to show a bit of that as well. I liked the music as well. I also like the overlay of the tasks and what you completed.

I like the suggestion about the about finding interesting things in my chunk... maybe I will call them chunk specialties which I think sounds decent! and im happy the music was good I had a hard time finding the music I wanted to use and have it be Copy right free! I have seen other creators use overlays before and I think they are really cool so I was excited to make my own!
I would say using that oak is the same as using NPC that wander but don't spawn in the chunk, both options of including or excluding are ok as long as it's consistent between both cases (luring by others/alts can still be excluded)

Do a 1 chunk at a time main starting at the grand exchange for your second series. Do the chunk goals the map give you, while also allowing yourself access to the ge and any items that help you complete them. You'll slowly build up a completionist main

I think including the skilling pets isn't necessary since they're not chunk specific. Wouldn't that basically add all clue uniques of a tier once you can consistently get that tier clue if there's any step of said tier in your chunk? Because technically you could get it by juggling clues.
The skilling is only added due to the supreme rule set meaning you have to get any pets available to you in your chunk. as for clues I will have to get the entire drop table ones I get all the steps unlocked for that tier. However, getting all the super rares like third age and gilded don't count because that could take literal centuries
In between chopping the oaks you can cut up your logs while waiting for the tree to respawn

This was so good! Watched all through an voted. One thing I'd suggest is although the montages were wicked, maybe use a font other then the default? The font in the fishing trawler montage was a bit jarring. Maybe next time you could spend a lill bit of time mentioning exciting things semi nearby, I don't think most would know those chunks super well and most chunkers don't get that far into that area. Obviously there's ardy, but what else?
I have been working on bettering my editing and I've already started using new fonts, Including downloading the RS font! as for mentioning surround chunk tasks that are possible I have mentioned it on stream many times but not in video, so I can mention it next video at most likely at the ending though!
I think for the tree its fine because your FEET would never leave the chunk

You can't get champion scrolls until 32 Quest points so I'm safe from that grind... for now!
Great video I enjoyed this. One thing I am curious about is what is your stance on implings? Would you be needing to lamp hunter to barehand catch them, and subsequently up to lucky impling.
Lamping is not required to meet skills challenges, so I wouldn't have to lamp for hunter. I got any hunter training method I would have to get the corresponding level to bare hand the highest level impling available in my chunk.
I lamped fishing because I wanted to unlock fishing faster. Due to Bob randoms I would have gotten 15 fishing with or without lamping. I chose to lamp it just so I would get 15 fishing faster.
So when are you starting your rs3 supreme?
The oak trees are outside of your chunk, by default rules you would not be able to interact with them, but a lot of people choose to rule it is fine as long as they themselves not leave
An rs3 Supreme would be interesting, especially since source has a the same map made for rs3. However with the time investment needed I don't know if the demand is there for a series. I floated the idea around and most people either would care to watch it or would actively not want me to make it bcz it would take time away from my two current series and other ideas that I may or may not be working on already

the only thing i cant help but point out is you definitely don't need swamp paste to do fishing trawler... unless im missing a requirement for the upper level of the trawler I don't think it was something you needed. I might be wrong as I am kind of a nub
You are correct you do not need swamp paste to do fishing trawler. However, I need to get to 255 contribution to decrease the pet rate from 1/5000 to 1/2500. If I stay up top without using any swamp paste down below I can't get to that 255 mark. At best I would probably be around 170~. so to make up for the extra contribution I use the paste.

I found out about the wonders of stretched mode so I've switched to fixed for recording! there are still some clips ive taken in full screen, but at stretched mode is still on so it looks a bunch better.

Thoughts:
You probably shouldn’t require yourself to complete fishing trawler since that required lamping to unlock.
If you wanted to stay consistent, this would mean you’re required to get 99 hunter for barehanded lucky imps along with other grinds that start with long lamping periods
You're right lamping is not required, however, I would have gotten 15 fishing through bob randoms anyways so I wanted to accelerate that happening so I could do fishing sooner. Supremes have to do all randoms, after all, they can affect our tasks, like how getting the Diamond is making me need to get 43 crafting
