4 years ago I started my own Story Universe. I create stories just like comics but without the Drawings. I made over a 100 characters and I’m still expanding the Universe. I hope that one day I actually get to do something with my characters because I really think some of them have a lot of Potential.
You should put some of that together and write a book. I bet there are people out there that would like to dive into your universe.

I have this list of original characters I've been writing since 9th grade as a result of daydreams and shower thoughts, so that if time comes when I decide to write novels, I got an unlimited source.
There's currently one for each of my favorite genres right now, sci fi, horror, and noir. All of which consist of around 85 to 200 per universe.

about 6 years ago me and my little brother started a universe. it started off by thinking that we (me and my brother) could control a whole universe because there are infinite. So we did, in our imaginations we imagined that there was a dude named james, he was the very beginning of our universe nearly 6 years later and 1 and a half books finished this universe has started to grow we have a small following of our stories within some kids that were related too and I aspire to become a professional writer. this is a post to tell people to listen to your brothers and play with them it may lead to great things.
I am 16 and my brother is 14. I am a great writer and he is a brilliant artist. One day last year I randomly brought up a character I was writing a novel about and he said it wouldn't work as a novel and that we should do a graphic novel. Then I met Tom Taylor and he inspired me to take this seriously. We're nearly done with the first book and have several ready to start writing after that with over 40 characters to utilise and I am very proud of the work we've done.

I am actually creating my own universe. I have been working on it since 2013. Recently I published the first book/the first piece.
It’s been great. I hope to keep publishing the rest as time goes on.

What i like to do when setting multiple series' in the same world is to set each one in different times. One series might be a couple years behind another and when i wanna make an official team up with the old and new stories, just bring the old characters back but much older, buffed, acquired high tech and probably living on another planet (my world has colonies btw)
Also my world is kinda like a mix of everything 80's and 90's action cartoons, video games, Tokusatsu, etc. Badass vehicles, mechs, unique individuals, mercenaries, alien robots, normal robots (as in built by man). I have so much more, it's hard to keep track

I decided to try writing again. The last time I had written I made it 2.5 chapters before losing all the files and giving up. I don't do comics, I would like to but my art style doesn't work with storytelling yet so I plan on writing a novel instead. I like how realistic you are.

shall I say, that's some pretty solid advice, man. I'm about to showcase a brand new superhero type cinematic universe (there are some other concepts that I think would make this become a thing of its own eventually, so I would not call it a day), and I'd like to believe something this big could potentially inspire millions of people within the next 10 years or so, gotta be honest, there's only two ways out if it goes mainstream. one it becomes a global Pop phenomenon in the likes of Marvel's Infinity War (way more appealing I would say even) and it becomes stable for the next 15 years fair enough taking some major losses here and there, sure, but it somewhat gets considered as your whole new "cinematic standards" by current and upcoming generations. TWO, it goes awfully mediocre (i know, it sounds harsh but it is what it is) and it will go down in history as another weird experiment. Good thing is, me and the team I've built around the project for the last 5 years we are trying to put up a monumental innovation force no matter what, compelling characters are key to it I think. Creating an entire universe will give you some major opportunities to explore beyond your surroundings, but I would like to add some more insights, you could also incorporate existing established characters (yes, it's not that easy, I completely understand this) if you can properly nail what they stand for and how they serve your stories. You still may want to look after your own characters, especially if your coming up from scratch with compelling ideas, so it can stand on its own.

Me and my little brother are currently creating super hero’s for our universe, I have many original superpowers that not many people have used, I’m trying to be as original as I can and I think it’s going good so far, I’ve been thinking about some villains and stuff and I think it’ll be good. Once I have a few characters and villains I wanna make an official comic. Once I make that I’ll see how it goes and maybe I’ll be the next big thing 😉

I've been writing my own books since my last two years of secondary school, I'm in college now and my creative writing skills have greatly improved, I have plenty of imagination and the books that I write about are about Gods who turn into Dragons

Thanks. Glad you liked the book. I guess it depends on how you want to put it out. I choose to write books. I didn't need to bring in a lot of other people (artists, letterers, etc). I also have a grand plan. One that I can look at and know what to write and where to release it. I would suggest blocking out all the negative thoughts and write your story. Once that's done, figure out how you want people to get a hold of it. Hope this helped. Good luck on your journey.
Me and my Friend started our comic universe 5 years ago we have stories its all organized in phases write now we have 2 sagas and good characters hopefully one day it will be good
I am creating a Superhero universe that I call the Phenomenal Universe. I have more that 100 characters and yeah I have some struggles with who to start the story and my main superhero team is still in development (two characters to be exact, the other five are fine), I have other superhero team that doesn’t need as much to work to work so they are easy, I think I have like 7 or maybe 8 different superhero teams, I been struggling a bit on the villains because it’s difficult to make a very specific foe for each hero and not make it repetitive. Overall considering that I alone made all this stuff, I think it’s truly amazing, I can only imagine what can I do if I have a team to develop more and more my universe. Also I am basing all my characters (well most of them) and places in things that I see an like, for example one of my main heroes is like green lantern because it can create hard light constructs, obviously his origin, costume, the tool to use his powers are totally different. But yeah thanks you for the advice.

I have a hard time with creating stories. Mostly because I have a mix mindset of what I want. I want to build my own cinematic Universe, starting from novels, graphics novels, comics, short films, and then a cinematic universe with a mix of Tv shows & feature films. And it’s also different universes, a psychological thriller themed universe, a superhero universe, & a Horror themed cinematic universe. It’s also like a mix of having a mindset of a filmmaker & a writer.
If I could offer some advice, I’d pick one theme and put all my focus on that one. I have different stories I want to share but I choose superheroes as my first. I’m not a huge horror fan, but a horror themed cinematic universe sounds incredible.
@@TheNERDWay1 I’ve decided before I write a story I’m going to draw just 1 picture would be the concept art of each superhero’s & villians, and write their info like their name, superhero name, powers, weakness, age, height, weight, & known for. And I thought about doing a team up story first. And I’ve already finished 3 superheroes. Mr. McThicc, Justice Bull, & Uranium Girl. And I’ve decided to title my team the “Huber League”.
I'm working on my own super powered universe that is basically a revival and retooling of an old idea from when I was a kid. It's basically like if you took the world of Heroes or X-Men but gave it a power system similar to Nen from Hunter x Hunter.
I used to play games(as I would call them )with my siblings,I was the oldest so I had to keep it interesting, eventually I found it fun coming up with different characters,and places....
Eventually,In school my teachers would give me assignments that I could work with and form worlds around them,I'm sure we've all done things like that though 😅...
My point is that I've created a few characters that seem promising,but I'm not sure where to start , Should I just go for it, or should I try something a little simpler,or should I go to college and better my skills

I say go for it. Don’t worry about college. Everything you need to know about writing is here on UA-cam for free. You may need to sort through it until you find the videos that offer you the kind of information you want, but it’s out there.
Writing comics was what I wanted but I turned my ideas into books.
As for making comics, find videos about writing comic book scripts and then find an artist to help you bring your ideas to life. It won’t be easy but nothing good ever is. I hope you’re able to turn your passion into reality. I’d like to read your comic when it’s available.

I don't know if anyone would like to hear this, but I made my own superhero universe, just without the drawings because I suck at that, it's like books, I made it as a tribute to the comics, it starts at the 1930s and it queeps expanding being inspired in the main comics events

been making comics since i was 5 and started making the superhero universe when i got in highschool and wanted to share them, hopefully one day i can get there
I'm creating my own team but I'm not going to list them here to avoid them being stolen I'm very protective of them
It's a brutal and violent team no problem with killing I think it's a good idea and I think an R-rated and TV MA rated Cinematic Universe is a good idea
I've got seven Heroes and I forgot how many villains there are there's not many but there's still a few of them and they're very brutal too sadistic no conscience

So i was bored one day and decided to make my own universe consisting of Superheroes, video games, anime and more. Have no idea how to bring it to life yet tho. I got my characters planned and i have a ton of superheroes in my universe
What makes a story universe work is the pieces, starting out with self contained stories and not cram pack all the characters into one story. Like with my interactive universe are all self contained stories with thier own themes and subject matter. But you still need characters that need to connect characters that bridge together

i have a superhero universe in the back of my head, and the first hero i thought of was x-man (i really need to change his name.) [male : tall : brown hair :] electric powers, x-ray vision, i think there’s more i haven’t wrote anything down yet. 7.5 villains, 5 heroes (2 of the villains i know i need to keep).
there is LOT more to it but i don’t want to spend my day writing comment so that’s all i’m going to write for now.

I wanted to make a Interconnected Universe with my short films, and after 5 years later I made a Timeline that has an abundance of Characters with my random characters and crazy stories

The best way to create a superhero universe or any franchise for that matter, is simply L.T.S. LONG TERM STORYTELLING
Im making a Universe starting From 1700 (I might change it) to 2022 and so on
I have ideas for a few superhero characters, with a villain or two, but that's mostly what I have so far. The heroes are kind of like twisted takes on existing DC and Marvel characters. The thing is... how do I know if I have a good enough imagination?

I have been reading Comics since I started to learn how to read
Different Genres
Until I met Marvel
In my teenage years , I rooted for heroes
Now in my mature years , I got fascinated by Villains
But , it has a lot to do , the way Storytelling changed
Through the years , Marvel got very dark
In my Oppinion , its about believing in your Project , but also be aware in what time you are living in
The World is constantly changing , and the Audience with it
This is what Marvel understood
Until there came a time , when they got greedy !!!!
Too much Power corrupts everybody
You just loose sight of the right reasons , you started in the first Place
my comic series is not the typical “superhero protecting the city” type of stuff, in my comics it’s just a normal guy known as “normal man” (real original I know) saving a run down city one bad guy at a time as the villains own the world in my comics due to the high amount of them. There is only 1 hero, his sidekick who helps him with inventions and the civilians, the only other source of good come from anti heroes, the main reason there is more villains is due to this one villain, a big stone with an ancient gem on its helmet, letting it push evil into the core of the planet, my universe just takes a big twist on the “good guy beats bad guy” thing because in my comics I always make it my goal for the villain to be stronger than the hero.

Cool and instructive video. I'm actually creating my own dark & edgy sci-fi action comic book small universe. I will put maybe very few "superhero" inside as it's not superhero centric like the Big 2 and it gonna be mostly oriented towards 18 years old + readers.

I don't want my universe to be oversaturated in supers like Marvel and DC.
Supers are supposed to be special and rare.
Also I don't want my characters to be overpowered.
My speedster character Captain Bullet for example doesn't run as fast as the Flash. On foot he runs fast as a racecar which is "slow" for a usual superhero but impossibly fast for a human being. If he really existed he would certainly be a supehero by our standards. And he can fly as fast as a jet fighter thanks to his jetpack.

@@TheNERDWay1 It's a character I came up with as a kid. I do have ideas for other characters in the "Bulletverse" but I'm mainly focusing on manga now.

@@TheNERDWay1 I did make a short (badly drawn) comic about him when I was a kid but I lost it a long time ago.
Imagination, he suggests a good imagination and his dislike for marvel.
I appreciate the simplicity of it all, but a good creator wouldn’t throw other peoples work under the bus. Creators support each other, especially in such a small industry as comics. Just do what Stan Lee said and write what you’d want to read, but understand that won’t be for everyone. Much like other people’s work aren’t for everyone. Whether they were poorly made or not. I’m surprised how often I don’t like a story, then see perspective from what the creator was thinking when making it, and then I actually kinda enjoy the story.

Im 15 years old and also a big comic book fan. Currently I like to do my own comic universe it currently have like 8superheroes and Im expanding it. I think I have the writing mind but I can't Draw and I cant hire a person to draw. So Sir can you please tell me what I should do. And also I don't want any money from the comics I like to release it on Instagram like 10pg per 2weeks. But I Have this fear of people will laugh at me. Can anyone tell me what should I do??
I can’t draw and I don’t have the money to hire someone, so that’s why I wrote my books. It’s my superhero universe without pictures. I would suggest you try that. Instagram wouldn’t be the place to post pages of just words. I would try Wattpad. You can post as much or as little as you want. I currently have a monthly title on there called Wrath & Blaze. Give that a try. I hope you much success and don’t worry about people laughing at you. At least you’re doing something creative. The world needs that.

@@DC_SLREVIEWS you can use Canva to make a cover. It’s free to use if you want to go that route. I found people on Fiverr to make my covers. You’ll spend some money but a good cover can really make the difference between someone picking your book up to look at it or just pass it by. People DO judge a book by its cover.

You could do what I did and write a book. I’m working on book 3 now.
