Staining, sealing, and lacquering - The results may SHOCK you! But probably not...

Alvin shows us how to choose a stain color that goes with your project, and also how to apply and finish that stain.
Alvin uses an HVLP gun to apply the sealer and lacquer in this video. As he mentions you don't have to have this equipment in order to do this process. You can purchase spray cans of vinyl sealer and lacquer in different sheens from your local hardware store.
Alvin also buffs the sealer before the first coat of lacquer using a maroon Scotchbrite pad that has about the same coarseness as a piece of 220 grit sandpaper. Alternatively you can just use 220 grit sandpaper!
