Cold Steel and Spyderco folders were the best in the 90's and just kinda stuck with them. Slowly moved to vast majority Cold Steel over the years with a random Spyderco or other brand knife now and then...but not out of loyalty. So many brands don't seem to have user ergonomics, have dozens of "me too" 3-3.5 inch models with just slightly tweaked shape or colors, charge extra for cool-kid steel heat-treated to perform 99% like cheaper steel anyways and slick handles, etc.
I ordered a Code 4 after watching your video on it way back when. Two minutes after getting the knife, I attempted your one-handed lockback method of closing the knife and cut the SHIT outta my first two fingers, because I had them too far up on the handle. It was an epic, bloody fail that required 8 stitches at the ER. So now, whenever I look down at the scars on my fingers I think about Advanced Knife Bro! Thanks for that!
Lol I did the exact same thing with the first knife I ever bought, a Byrd cara cara 2. My dumbass disengaged the back lock and just wasn't expecting it to swing down as fast as it did. I still have a little line of a scar across my index finger haha.
Cold Steel understands the truth. That everything you thought was cool as a 14 year old is what's actually cool. Heavy metal, huge boobs, dinosaurs, guns, R-rated 80's action movies. Every man wants to EDC a Rajah II, but he denies himself satisfaction and joy for the flimsy social status of performative maturity.

The Spartan, isn't a perfect EDC knife. It's a pocket khukri. It's weight makes it great for cutting brush and I've cut down 2" saplings with surprising ease. It also cuts open Amazon packages. That's not a set screw holding it into a dovetail as it should be. It's the only thing holding it on there.

My Large Voyager in AUS 10 is nutz. I went out on the CS limb because of your posts. I have zero practical use for it but I want one of their tactical canes or walking sticks. Ridiculous.
Huge knives were common, multiple-purpose tools when the only firearm carried was a rifle. Blades were up to 12 inches in length. Once the revolver became a commonly carried tool, knife blades decreased to about 6-7 inches in length. This information is according to one of the Blade Annuals (I believe) in the early to mid-90s.
“It works almost as good as a full length shovel but with the added benefit of back problems”

Unlike the POS kudu which I now have 3 of thanks to SMKW adding them to my order for free. I like to think that they really believe in the kudu and not that they’re sitting on a few hundred of them and haven’t sold a single one.
You bought an iron maiden for $100 also 🥰, Advanced Knife Bro that's so cool man ✊ I think we're meant to be together👍!
🎶Dear Advanced Knife Bro I wrote you, but you still ain't callin'
I left my cell, my pager and my home phone at the bottom
I sent two letters back in autumn, you must not've got em
There probably was a problem at the post office or something
Sometimes I scribble addresses too sloppy when I jot 'em

ENGAGE SAFETY SQUINTS -ave is leaking into knivessss
I had a gi tanto. I traded it for 2 haircuts while i was away... Still one of mt favorites. Hated the sheath.
Stone cold steel Austin?
Man, you should write a dang book already with scripts like this.
My Large Voyager in AUS 10 is nutz. I went out on the CS limb because of your posts. I have zero practical use for it but I want one of their tactical canes or walking sticks. Ridiculous.
Check out their Heavy Duty Sword Cane. It's a lot of self-defense tool when you're not carrying concealed.
You had me at cold steel.
I subscribed based solely on your epic monolog.... you sir... no words
Love that Colossus! Wish they would bring that one back.
They brought back the talwar!!!
I only own 2 of those blades , guess which ones ~ abrikadoobie
Huge knives were common, multiple-purpose tools when the only firearm carried was a rifle. Blades were up to 12 inches in length. Once the revolver became a commonly carried tool, knife blades decreased to about 6-7 inches in length. This information is according to one of the Blade Annuals (I believe) in the early to mid-90s.
And now we have semi automatic handguns and knives are 3-5 inches in length and folded in half
@@housetent9176 dunno, soldiers still carry 12inch knifes, with +7 inch blades
Man where did you get the Ti LITE VI with aluminum scales & s35vn blade for $35?
Tell me cause I want one
Knife swap on Reddit
@18:25, Yeah I know that was directed at me.
Yeah. That's on me. But hey, maybe you should review more multitools so I'd come back more.
🤷♂️
3:07 whoa you got Nutnfancy to appaear in one of your videos. Nice!
Does anyone just sharpen with a stone anymore lol
Some people. They are easily identified because they tell everyone how easy it is if you’d just try and learn it.
@@AdvancedKnifeBro It's true though :'(
9:51 "Sometimes you gotta learn things a whole bunch" 😂😂😂
It’s me, the guy that doesn’t really like cold steel but watched your 15-20 minute video anyway
My man!
All my edc knives are fixed, fuck folders, carefully
This guy should write books. I'd purchase and read all the material. Excellent Commentary.
