Great video, Nick. I was drawn in by the music production side (and I'll add my voice to those asking for a more detailed vid on your setup and workflow) and I came away with the exact motherboard I've been looking for to use in my pc. A big 'yes' on so many levels so thanks again, from here in sunny North Wales 👍👏
Not sure if it's relevant for y'all, but my Dad uses that same Scarlett interface and swears by the Cloudlifter preamp he got to go with it to clean up VO. If you've got one lying around give it a shot!
Very nice small build. Giving me more ideas. I have almost the same setup you had with your H1 in mine and I had the pump actually fail on me! Good call swapping it out early on.
FL Studio is pretty dope; I don't understand it but it's dope LOL Also, the build looks hella dope. looks like it'd be a great setup to bring around as well
That little PC is awesome I'm more of a big case guy (custom water cooling and all) but I still, appreciate these small builds. My current PC is large and loud a complete opposite to this.
I use a fractal design define c matx case, fanless psu, and a thermalright macho rev.c. With the fan settings on silent in the bios it is inaudible. I had a focusrite interface and switched to an rme babyface pro. I get a lot better CPU performance with the rme. The drivers are much better.
Dude I hear you on the AIO’s with the pump in the rad, I have an MSI Liquidcore 360 and 6 months it’s dead, I’ve always been Corsair having never had an issue with there AIO’s but thought I’d try something new, Lucky AMD have said the 5800X running at 90-95 won’t damage it cause it was doing 80-90 idle but seemed like everything was good, programs said the pump was running and there was heat transfer in the pipes, turned out the pump was a dud so back to Corsair I went
Glad to know you're running a sub with the Genelecs. Curious how well the sub integrates with the speakers and if you're using any digital room correction.
Do you think a 5900x with a 6600xt would be ok thermally in this case? I need a new PC for work (just several VM's, nothing too intense) and thought this case looked good and I don't need it to be overkill. Thanks for the great content!
I think you'd get away with a 5900X. I've had decent results with 240mm AIOs and the 5900X. The trick is undervolting it a bit. It will drop the temps quite a bit.
I see you got the github midi script for your komplete kontrol for FL studio. It's good isn't it 😁. I use the s49 mk2. Edit: And then you explained the whole thing lol, I spoke too soon 😂.
@@KlaireGearSeekers Totally understandable. I love the channel and the music is great. I often have the videos running in the background so I can vibe to the music while I'm working. I would to see how it's made.
Hey Nick! I used this case to build both my kids some seriously Roblox machines! Keep up the good work and hopefully the lurkers will sub! I'm looking forward to your next super budget build. Something super basic to allow roblox/abc mouse type "gaming" to introduce kids to pc gaming with actual parental controls over the machines.
I've actually been using the Z590i and 11600k for music production and gaming for a while now too! I've been dual booting windows and MacOS and been getting the best of both worlds. Love the thunderbolt ports. However, I lucked out on an irresistible deal on a 5950x (dude upgraded to alder lake) so I'm back on my Asrock X570 itx/tb3... yup you guessed it also hackintoshed and using that tb3 port! Anyway, great vid, always love your content!
@@GabrielKLKN That's correct, since Apple switched to AMD, newer nvidia cards are not supported. I'm using a 5600xt. BigSur and Monterey can also make use of the 6800 through 6900xt if you can find those
@@CB-iu8yf Can be a problem if you don’t get the right components! But if you get the right case and cooling and set up a custom fan curve, it’s absolutely fine. To my ear, it’s no more noticeable than the fans ramping up on my older intel macs. Haven’t tried m1 yet though, so can’t compare it to that.
It’s possible. My Ncase M1 with 4090 is very silent with EK 240mm 13700k on a conservative fan profile. Some compromise on thermal (74C GPU and 80C CPU while editing or gaming), but it’s almost dead silent.

Awesome video fams. Music production system looks like a banger
Great vid again, I like the music production stuff.
That new dan case is so cool. I really like the IQUNIX ZX-1. I would have kept the msi gpu.
That is def an awesome looking case esp in the different colours !
Awesome video fams. Such a clean setup and sit/stand will work great for that setup I reckon.
Nick there are cnc acrylic airflow panels for the h1 and noctua fan mod to help with cooling if your ever interested
Very clean new build! I didn't know you make your own stuff, I do like the music a lot!

Why not go with a AMD APU like 5600G or 5700G ? Or Intel with integrated Graphics ? Should save on space, heat and power in the case.
I answered all of that in the video. I used parts I have that I'm not going to be using anymore and I need Thunderbolt 4.
@@GearSeekers Great build. I've been watching your channel for a few weeks now and finally subscribed.
Should try using the included extend stand-off for the two slots card. I think the temp may be better this way
