For DPS, unless you can 1-2 shots the backline like hawkeye or hela, they rely on their ult like starlord, punisher, buckey, or ironman. So they are trying to farm ult charge while not dying and distract while their team pushes forward or get picks. I'm a casual player but I do watch A LOT of pro plays and analysis.
Buckey CAN kill backline, but you have to play mid or flank well, its a more dangerous style. And now that I think of it, so can a good IM,seen only a few, they just fly out of sight behind your team and use the beam.
Punisher is so good at singling and taking people out, get flanks on or just push the line while getting healed. Youll merk their healers or DPS characters and get close and 1 tap shotgun to the head. if u get ina dangerous situation zipline out
The key word here is fundamentals. and he is rarely pushing beyond that. Sometimes that is all it takes. Don't always have to make crazy plays or risk throwing. Just pressure, poke, kill key targets when you can but dont over risk it, but #1 DONT DIE. It would be interesting to see a game where his team is struggling and see how he compensates like if he changes his gameplay to push towards taking larger risks or not. Other heroes probably have much different perspectives though. I know spiderman for example seems to be a more high risk high reward type of game. Im gonna try starloard after watching this. I've always been a strong fundamentalist player that's why ive always tanked or healed and dps has been a hobby, I think.
Its always good to remind that his backflip thing reloads his gun, you can see that when he ults he backlips a lot, not only to avoid dmg, but also for that extra split second of dmg that can easily kill an enemy, he can deal up to 260 dmg/s
Wait 260 per second? I'm never gonna normally reload in ult again! Thats more than Iron Man gamma unibeam. The game is still new so we arent aware of the numbers yet lmao
The thing he does well besides aiming obviously is positioning, when this guy says the enemy forgets about them thats just dumb they dont they are high elo players, they know if they keep looking at where starlord was they will be giving their back to the entire enemy team. This starlord knows where to strike from to make it awkard to enemy backline and knows how much he can extend without dying, even if didnt kill anyone on a flank if he is alive the enemy team still has to respect and cant focus fully on healing their tanks or dpsing. Hope this helps this is useful to any flanker in the game no only starlord.
Thats true. In higher elo, allied frontline and backline always move in if the enemy gets too distracted by your flanking, its only in low elo where everyone chases after flankers and they dont get killed for turning their backs.
@@odonah no but if you watch the whole video its this mechanic, farm ult and kill everyone simples as that nothing new , the reason it works is good aim and positioning

You really got the wrong takeaway here. He is that success because his mechanics are crazy. You can be as smart as him. Have the same gameplan and game sense. But if you dont have his reflexes and accurate tracing in this high speed movement of yourself ( during air jumps or falling down) or enemies trying to dodge or both at the same time YOU WILL NOT COME ANYWHERE CLOSE to his lvl og Star-Lord. Just forget about it.
My guys... THOSE ARE NOT 56 KILLS Am I the only one who has noticed a certain detail related to statistics? I am not going to say it yet, so that the community continues to enjoy its "high statistics" numbers 😅😊 ... But I'm sad that I realized this too :c
no you’re not, most ppl especially those who play ranked know how KO’s work. the player who does majority dmg on the enemy gets kill credit and so does the teammate who deals the final hit, it works the same way in overwatch and many other games. i would argue that assists are the more confusing stat since they don’t rely much on dmg. it seems they are mostly earned by strategists with CC or dmg boosting abilities, tanks like magneto who can bubble teammates or dr strange who has a CC for an ult, or by active team up abilities.
@@BlayF13 Yes, I noticed that :c... It seemed strange to me that my team had a lot of kills, but I had the idea of adding up the deaths of the opposing team and the result was not the number of "our kills" But I added "final hit" and the deaths of the enemies and yes it's correct :c So really, that Ironman game 45-7... If you go on leaderboards you'll see the top players and you can check their career profile and see their statistics and history the same way you can check yours. I believe you can check the replays of other players' games by checking their history tab
molanran was a part of one of the worst seasons in overwatch league history. a chinese dps player for the la valiant in 2021. individually, his mechanics were sound. he ended up being one of the better players on that team.
10:00 How the hell he missed that much and won the 1v1 (i mean this crosshair totally not track on enemy), not only this one. like there are so many parts questionable. If it is just delay then it is fine, otherwise, I don't think that a cheater game pov is not quite "good" material to watch or learn from that.
@Alex_Aramayo If you think tracer's ult is better than this guy's, you're delusional. This guy's way more accessible, and way more Mobile. Dude can literally fucking fly...
@@juakored You said Starlord is a million times better than Tracer, not that his ult is. 1 for 1, Tracer has higher carry potential and skill expression in OW2 than Starlord does in Marvel Rivals.
Put Starlord in OW and he's the best character in the game. But in Rivals he's "fine." What Tracer has that he doesn't is Recall, and also her very slim hitbox + crouching, which makes her extremely hard to hit. Don't get me wrong, he's strong, but Rivals's backlines are hellish to break through. Mantis and Luna are frankensteinian abominations with incredibly stacked kits, and Hela and Hawkeye are simply excessively overtuned when it comes to numbers, but also have strong kits with no real holes in them. Then there's Adam who can res himself, the team, and Mantis/SL for free, has Zen's damage AND can full heal himself three times in a row, etc, etc. OW's supports don't hold a candle to MR's, that's why Starlord is a bit "mid" in his own game.
That's 100% a former Tracer main. The only mechanic he abuses is his own good aim and positioning.
