Dexter playing with his son's tail because he is still a kitten himself. No wonder he is bewildered.
Misty seems drawn to the grumpy papa' even though she has gotten the worst from him.
Perhaps she likes the challenge and will become a Valkerie like Ada.

Poor Dex is just struggling to figure out where all these annoying, stinky kids came from and who the heck invited them into his house. He's tried hissing at them, he's tried ignoring them, but they continue to hang around, so eventually he'll just have to get used to them!
It actually makes it more poignant when father and kittens actually do eventually become friends. Neither of them knows their connection, they have to grow and bond together from scratch.
Love the funny interactions between the kittens and their dad! He seems to not admit paternity lol 😂!

Dexgrrrrrrr... I love how he manages to stretch himself across the entire doorway, preventing the kittens from just going back and forth, almost like he's daring them to play!

It's likely a weird dominance thing. As weird as it seems, he feels threatened by all these tiny strangers and needs to assert himself. I've seen grown cats do that when a new cat gets introduced (hog the windowsill and hiss if the new guy tries to join you, etc.)
With each video the kittens are getting more and more beautiful. Misty at 4:15 is absolutely stunning.
Dexter, you're too young to be a grumpy old man! You should be happy you have such cute kids!

He'll get over it as they get bigger and older. Male dogs are the same way. The smaller the puppy, the more they are like "What the heck is this and who brought it into my house?".

OMG...that was so entertaining!!! Misty walking around Dexter so gingerly ...Dexter's growls...Ash just zipping by and getting out of the way...despite Dexter's grumpiness, he is one gorgeous looking cat...just stunning in so many ways.
I spied a totally cute hooman in a reflection! lol. Dexter, while still grumpy seems to be better about them being near him lol. I love how they just kinda tiptoe around him though lol. it was brave of Brock to try and sneak past the head end of papa Dexter lol
OMG I saw it too! He's super hot! Most of the time it is older women or older guys running these channels. Our kitty papa here looks like a very fit and well groomed young man. I wonder if he's single.

Every time you have a shot with Misty behind Dexter, I have a brief moment of wondering if she's going to try and pounce on him from behind. If she does plan to, I hope she waits until she's a bit bigger!

I really like the way Misty persisted in staying near him. Maybe one day she will find out what his issues are! And as for getting a job to support his kittens like someone commented on previously, I don't think he's been to any inteviews!

Dexter's version of "You shall not pass!" Grouchy Dad, yes, but he did have a word with Ada when she got a bit rough with Ash, so bonus point for that. And isn't Misty growing into a beauty.

Papa Dexter is jealous of his babies. He wants your attention all for himself! It is odd how he seems to tolerate Brock, but Misty and Ash he growls away. Poor Misty is just so sweet, she doesn't understand why papa hisses at her. 😊

Dexter not much of a dad because he’s just a kitten himself. He doesn’t understand the activities of the little ones are designed to be both play and to get his approval and attention. Misty a sweet little angel. Brock a good boy. Ash a sweet little fellow.

Both Buster and Dexter are still not completely relaxed around the kittens yet. Just a little bit longer and they will be good friends, I'm sure 🙂

I seem to remember that when he was first introduced he was much worse than when first seeing his own kitttens, but after that I don’t remember him grumpy like he is now. But then, he was many months younger, and perhaps he was a bit scared of Freya.
